Key pad works great with August lock. Can discreetly mount without drawing too much attention. Pins work very well. Key pad helps ensure I don't lock myself out of the house when I don't have my phone with me. It's great!

I bought this for our second vacation home, not thinking it would be particularly useful since we all have the app. The first time you get locked out of you house without your phone or keys will change that! It was easy to install and setup. You can send codes to friends or others that need access to your house that are temporary. Really nice addition to the smart lock.

This is a must for entry door August door knobs. I just wish that the back cover (which sticks onto the wall) was made with a more sturdy and less flexible material.

I live in an apartment and therefore am unable to install anything; therefore, I opted for this keypad so that I could have keyless entry. I bought this keypad and the August lock and they both work well. The reason I rated it four stars is because there is some lag time between entering the code and the door unlocking, and if you enter the wrong code accidentally, there's even more lag time waiting to be able to re-enter the correct code.

This is almost necessary if you have August locks, get it you'll thank me. However its is a little wonky in how it connects to your wall or door jamb., and seems to suck the guts out of batteries. We do use it a lot though. If it had a more secure mounting method, and was not so blocky, it would be near perfect.

Works ok. Batteries die very fast. The August lock system is excellent. The fact that it fits over existing deadbolt is genius, allowing the outside to look completely normal and pretty, not a big messy keypad. This keypad accessory is helpful - prevents having to take out the phone, but i wish the batteries lasted longer.

This is a keypad that works with your August lock. It runs on a AAA battery and your August app will even tell you when your have low battery power. You can mount it near your lock or just keep in in pocket for another way to open your lock. I find it easier to use than the app. One red button will lock the door or open it after you code in. Recommend highly.

We like having the keypad, especially when friends/family let our dog out, but the batteries seem to die VERY quick. We have tried many different kinds of batteries and nothing seems to work well. It's like the keypad just drains them. Other than that, the keypad is great and works well.

Built well, also withstood rain and a power wash. Code input has triggered every time and have also provided codes to others as well with no issues.

This thing makes the August lock work like I wanted it to. On the way out the door, push the bottom button and it will lock the door for you - very convenient. I use this the enter the house more than the app... it takes less time. The only time I use the app now is from the car when I know my hands will be full. Battery seems to last about three months or so, with above average use. Looks nice, too. Not too big or obtrusive. I bought another one for my front door. Highly recommend.

I purchased this simply because it was ridiculously on sale and thought "Why not?" I've ended up really liking the convenience of having it there. With the August Smart Lock Pro, most of the time you've gotta pull out your phone and use the app to unlock your door. Now, I find myself just entering in my key code and voila, I'm in me casa. Super easy to insrall, and overall use. Good buy, I'd say it was a "Best Buy....." Please don't ban me for that, I know that was horrid.

Works fast and seemlessly with the August Smart Lock. Very convenient as a backup to the auto unlock feature.

I purchased the August door lock and wanted an option for my kids that don't have a mobile device and it works great my 15 year old son did the install on both the door lock and the key pad and it took very little time to complete. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to purchasing more August products.

I have purchased this Smart Keypad to compliment my August Smart Lock (3rd Generation). You have the ability to issue individual codes to your family members or guest to find out whom has access to your home and at what time. This is a MUST HAVE item will put your mind at ease in case you are caught without your phone to operate your smart lock. I would HIGHLY recommend this product!

I use August at my office building. I have multiple people who have access. Some are more adept at technology than others. Those that don’t have an app on their phone use the code that this provides. Also when you leave you simply hit the lock icon and you’re ready to go. This is my second one.

Locking the door is done with the simple touch of a single button. The August app allows you to easily add family members with their own access codes. Codes are also very simple to set up and change. The Smart Keypad is a must have if you purchase or already have an August Smart Lock.

I love my August smartlock. It's quick and convenient. I can control it with my Google Home... Awesome, until the day I let my phone battery die. That's when I discovered that I need one of these little keypads. Now I don't lock myself out of the house when I take too long checking the mail and my phone is inside. Now I can let my mother-in-law in when she shows up unannounced... Or, I can just keep her locked out. You know, whatever.

This keypad is very convenient, I have noticed that maybe 1/10 times it won't take my code. Everything else works great. I just wished they made it in different colors and would hide the August logo a bit, it looks a little off near my white door.

Not feeling confident in the auto lock feature of the August lock, we use this near the garage door so we can lock the door before getting in the car. Also just in case we are out in the yard without our phone, we have a fall back to prevent getting locked out. Simple install and set up. Great bonus feature for our August lock.
