So small and compact. Very easy to put up and use.

Just got our first home. Its a small older home. One way that has helped with all of the moving and various appointments (gas, cable, etc) has been setting up the smart door. We have a camera so we can see who is at the door, we can communicate with them, let them in - we assigned codes so we know when our family is dropping off items etc. Its been a great way to instantly improve any home.

I got my Smart lock a couple months ago and love the Auto Lock feature but sometimes I’d get locked out if I stayed outside too long. Now with this keypad now it’s never an issue. A lot of people have access to my home if I’m not there now and with each of them having their own special codes I know exactly who’s come in and when.

This is a nice addition to the August Lock; it allows code based access if your smartphone is not with you (or if one of your guests does not have a smartphone or wishes to not use the August app to unlock the door).

We have enjoyed our August keypad as an addition to the other August products that we have. I do recommend getting the geek squad protection plan in the event that something goes wrong with the keypad and you need to exchange it. We use our keypad often and it’s super convenient to give friends a code to get into our home.

The key pad is a great add on option that is very easy to install and connect to your August lock. Really great for gaining entry when you forgot you key or smart device. Also giving a pass code to your dog / cat sitter or maintenance worker. I also love the one button to lock the door when leave.

This August Smart Keypad has been a great addition to my August Lock. All of my exterior locks are controlled by August. I have ran into several occasions where I've been locked out of my house due to not having my phone. The August Smart Keypad has been a awesome addition. No more lockouts for me.

Picked this up to compliment my August lock, basically on a whim but with the knowledge in the back of my mind that the lock's location features aren't always flawless, especially with my phone. But this keypad makes it super easy to just bypass all of that.

I have purchased and used several keypad and wifi connected locks over the past few years and August is really the best we have ever seen. It has the automation to know when you are home and the augment of a keypad makes it amazingly easy to unlock if your phones dies or if you want to get a temp code to a guest.

Works as advertised. Helps when/if my proximity lock doesn't activate due to wifi/bluetooth being off. Or if phones dead. Allows close family to have their own pin so they dont have to deal with an app.

We bought this keypad for our relatives without smartphones and also for when we walk the dog or run errands sans-smart phone. The keypad is battery operated, easy to install and setup with the app and requires virtually zero instructions for its use. Highly recommend to others with the August Smart Lock.

Purchased this item so I would not have to carry my phone if I went outside of the house. It was easy to add to the account via the phone app. Had a question regarding the mounting, so I called support, who were very helpful. Has removed the stress of being locked out of the house.

I think this August smart keypad is a must when buying August smart lock. Once installed, so far had no problems at all. I have installed this keypad on the frame between front and glass door. My son loves it. No need for any keys and i can add different codes for family members and remove it after visit.

This pairs well with the August Home Lock. I use this for my kids to be able to unlock the door without the need for a key. It's great because you can assign different codes to different people so I know which kid unlocked the door and when. The kids even got to pick their own code.

This is a great addition to the smart locks. I kept it by my back door and even my girls could use it. The batteries started to corrode and it did take some cleaning to fix it but then it worked again. Great addition.

Installed near the coast - had a battery issue that may be attributable to the salt water air and corrosion. Replaced the August-supplied batteries with Duracells and had not further issues.

Very handy. If your cell phone is dead I know have this outside my home to get in. Only can be used if you h ave August lock.

Our family really likes this small addition to our August smart lock. It makes it very easy for our children to be able to enter through the door when it is locked without a key or smart phone. I also really like the small profile.

This is an amazing addition to the August locking system. I definitely suggest you have it.

The keypad is essential if you intend to use the autolocking feature. That way you can get back into the house if it locks you out without your keys or phone. Also convenient to allow access to people who do not have smart phone. Easy to install. Work reliably.
