This lock is legit. It was extremely simple to install. It is a little on the big side of things though. It notifies me who opens the door if I added them to the app and they open with it. It tells me if its manually unlocked, or locked. It tells me if my door is left open or not. It has a list of everything that has been done and who has done it (unless manually done and it will just state that) that you can go back and view. I like it being able to use the geofence and unlocking for me when I get home. Super convenient. I like it and I recommend. I have not had a single issue with this lock.

Exactly as expected. Super easy to install. Goes right over your old dead-bolt lock. Setup was super easy. Can control using Siri and HomeKit. Only issue I had was getting the connect in an outlet close enough to the lock to register. But since we have AppleTV and HomePod I think that is controlling any of the same remote functions the connect base provides. Does the auto-lock using geo-fencing, which is what my wife wanted. So now when she gets home, the door automatically unlocks when she pulls into the drive way.

Very easy and intuitive to install. Works perfect. I havent had to actually unlock my door since i got it. Unlocks automatically when i get home.

Easy to install with existing lock if you prefer to leave outside as it is. You can still use keys as well. Size is bigger than it appears in the box.

Operating, programming, and installing this lock is easy and works amazingly! I liked it so much all of my locks are now August locks!

Easy to setup. Have had it for a few weeks. Auto-unlock works well with the phone. The auto lock timer feature is usefull.

I have used and love August SmartLocks for a few years now. I recently purchased the most recent model (another was about to be released at the time of my purchase). I got a great deal on the lock from Best Buy and love it even more than my first August Smart Lock. This lock is definitely worth the upgrade for all the features and the better connection you get. I would recommend this lock for the easy install, great price and easy of use.

IMO the best smartlock on the market. Install was a breeze after attaining shorter screws (customer service was responsive and helpful, had the correct screws for my deadbolt the next day), works with existing deadbolt which makes existing physical keys still relevant. Great features like Bluetooth auto-unlock, time based auto-lock, ability to add guests as users, and it works flawlessly with Alexa ability to check if the door is locked or lock/unlock the door from your bedroom. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Love this product. I can now open the door to my condo for family & friends remotely without giving them the keys. Works perfectly every time.

I have had this since December of 2017. Not one issue. Install was easy and quick. The lock looks good on double doors and I have not had one incident. Lock is always connected even when away from home. The app is polished and always quick to respond. Works with Siri at home and away (I own an Apple 4K TV - needed for away). Alexa works also all the time. This lock is the future of front door security systems. No more lost spare keys by the kids. All of them have the app and access to the door, plus I know when they come and go. Awesome.

Wanted a smart lock compatible with Homekit. After some research selected August Pro+. Easy to install and works very well.

Easy to install with great instructions. Like everything about it except it’s a bulky looking on the door.

I love these locks because with everything being keyless nowadays my keys are always at the bottom of my purse and now I don’t have to dig for them. Kind of nice too if you need to get in your home quickly and any second counts.

My wife and I recently purchased a house, and I wanted to make it our smart home immediately. We both bounced back and forth between the idea of this lock, and a quickset alternative. The representative guide us towards the August, and we could not be happier. I love the auto unlock and auto lock feature, so my phone never needs to leave my pocket. As soon as I am with in 15 m of my door, it won’t unlock for me. Once I am over 100 m away, it will automatically lock itself. 10/10, would recommend.

This thing practically set itself up and with no hassle I have never felt more safe or secure with a purchase.

We we're so excited about getting a smart lock for our front door but this was a very big disappointment!!! When we tested it - it auto locks (randomly) after the predetermined time but don't expect it to auto unlock when you approach your door. We have a very strong internet connection (1 G) and yet our smart connect was registering a very bad wifi connection and it was literally 10ft away from our Netgear Orbi AC300 router. The Bluetooth connection (which connects the doorlock to your smart phone) keeps dropping and disconnecting and it cannot auto unlock the door when it's supposed to do so. We tried it even with the app open and connected it still won't auto-unlock the door. We went through the process of setting up the auto unlock and auto lock and the only thing that worked (randomly) was the auto lock. We tried calling the customer service and they told us to move the smart connect to a different location we did everything they told us but it did not resolve the issues. After almost an hour on the phone they said they don't really know what's wrong and they promised to give us feedback after 24 hours because they have to ask the developer what's going on. The prospects were not too good so we've decided to just return the product. If they have to go back to the developer and ask about the problem of some product that has gone through the developers for testing, etc. that doesn't sound like a product ready for release to consumers. The only thing that worked was when you physically have to lock and unlock using the app which beats the purpose of having a so-called smart lock because i could just have used my regular key and would have done it faster. The manual locking and unlocking on the app is not without a problem. The app disconnects after a few seconds and before you can manually tap the app to lock or unlock your door it takes about 5-10 seconds for it to reconnect before you can do so. The one thing right about it is the ease of installation - it took us less that 10 mins.
