This smart lock has great functionality. It is relatively easy to install. It still looks a bit bulky.

Definitely definitely worth every penny! No longer carry my house keys. Just a heads up, keep eyes on your battery life within the app because it won’t “auto-lock” or even “un-lock” when you leave or show up. Battery depends on your batteries that you buy. The ones that came in the box lasted for about 5-6 months and i got some cheap batteries and only lasted for a month or so. So definitely buy high quality batteries for this.

This smart lock was an easy choice for me. I have been looking for a smart lock for literally 2 years and stumbled upon this one on sale. The interface and set up are easy. It integrates with Alexa without issue. Features are great. Some people give this bad reviews because THEIR door, or lock, is misaligned, or THEIR wi-fi coverage is bad, or THEY can't figure something out. The lock itself and the features are worth it.

Very easy to install, and so far (1 month since installation) we have had no issues. I especially like the Bluetooth capability, unlocking my door as I get home, and locking it for me when I leave. We purchased the keypad as well, as we do spend time outdoors with the grand kids and may not always have our phones for the auto-unlock. We also like the codes we can give to guests, kids and cleaning crew and that they are all tracked!

Easy to install, took about 15-30 minutes total to set up (you have the option of drilling a hole in the door to have a sensor not be visible, I did not do that). Very convenient not having to take your keys out, and gives peace of mind knowing you cannot forgot to lock the door. The only con is I have trouble getting a good Bluetooth signal from the connect unit to the lock, even though it is plugged in close by.

Overall good product as advertised except for 2 things: The lock responds significantly slower when using WiFi to lock or unlock the device. The Installation Instruction doesn’t tell you the need to run ‘lock and unlock’ multiple times once the lock in-place. This step is needed so that August lock can measure and adjust itself to how much it should adjust the length of the bolt once all installation steps are done. The lock is still pricey as well.

It is very, very easy to install and works with your current key. The app for this product is also great.

I love the device. While I did have a little bit of trouble installing the device at first, everything was smoothly after. I am able to unlock my home from any where I am as the third generation uses a combination of bluetooth and wifi to give you the best signal. Auto unlock is great, it unlocks your door when you are at least 10 feet away from your home, not to mention not having to deal with the hassle of getting your keys out. Truly an amazing piece of technology.

This fulfilled all of my requirements for a smart lock: it doesn't advertise itself on the outside of the house, it has Z-Wave to integrate with alarm systems, I can control it remotely, and it tells me if my door is closed/open/locked/unlocked. The only problem I've had is the Z-Wave integration is finiky and often requires removing the batteries to resync with my hub. It is pretty bulky, but I don't mind that.

Installed this for my elderly mom who was having trouble going up and down the stairs to open the door (split-level home). Combined with a Ring Video Doorbell, this saves her aging knees when someone’s at the door. She can look for who it is with her iPhone (utilizing Ring), and remotely unlock the door with the August app. It also gives me peace of mind to check her door on my phone to make sure she remembered to lock it. Installation was incredibly easy.

Lock was easy install. Took less than 5 minutes. Connects with ALEXA smoothly. August app very useful.

My wife was skeptical but now that we've used it we love it. Communed with ring doorbell I've let friends into the house when we were running late to meet them. Kids use it to let themselves in. I took off one star because I stopped using the auto lock and unlock. It was burning through my battery. Haven't tried since i changed phones.

This is the first smart lock I've purchased and I imagine it will be the last (in a good way). This lock was super easy to install, allows you to still use your house key, and works seamlessly with HomeKit. The Auto-Unlock feature is also flawless and takes the smart lock to an entirely different level. I would recommend this to anybody who owns a home. Definitely one of those things that you don't know you need until you experience it.

It is not perfect but it is well if you want a feature where you can re-key. I had the Yale-assure lock touch. I love that one but my parents lost the key and can't re-key so i had to change to this. This one has its limit but work well if you want something that is between manual and keyless. At the same time can do re-key for any reason.

I purchased this on sale. I have a habit of not wanting to lock my door when I leave the house. This does it automatically and opens it when I arrive back home. I have it setup with the rest of my home automation, so I can tell my device goodnight and all the lights go out and the door locks. I haven't tried the sharing feature yet, but I imagine it will be pretty seamless.
