What I liked the most about this smart lock is that I can retain my style of lock look at the front(outside) of the door an all magic happens inside of the door. Installation instructions were very easy to follow. it works like charm, sometimes there is an issue with Android App, but primary functions works fine. There is always room for improvement.

This is a nice lock, I was hesitant to install it but decided to try it, I thought it would be hard, But I downloaded the august app and just followed the directions when installed on my phone. Really easy, very happy with this lock. When ever I had a question I would email august and with in a few minutes to a hour I'd get an answer. So if I can do it anyone can.

Warning - make sure that you make sure your lock is compatible. I had one that didnt fit any of the three components that make the lock work. Pros Remote access, bluetooth unlock and lock. Virtual keys without needing to have a spare. Cons Setting up the app can be confusing but not a huge problem. Runs off battery so make sure to check the battery every now and then.

This lock is great. Works well, the auto features are good. Easy to integrate with Google Assistant (nice to be able to check door is locked with Google “good night” routine). Looks good. So why only three stars? Battery life. Have to change batteries ever six weeks or so. Now I understand that to throw the bolt takes some torque and to keep the unit at a sensible size really only AA size would do. This would not be so much of a problem if not for; NO BATTERY CHECK FEATURE. Come on how did you forget to put in some way to warn that the batteries are about to fail? Nothing. This is a mighty problem as you can find yourself locked out. I know, I was! The “six weeks or so” battery life does not help. The “or so” bit in particular. Yes you can still use a key but the very reason for a smart lock was so I didn’t need to carry a key. You could have made the rather bright led flash red as a warning.

App is easy to use, install was very simple, works great, no complaints yet

This lock was very easy to install and works great! It also works great with Alexa even though it took us a few times to get it right. Human error not mechanical/technology error. My mom is not mobile and this allows her to lock and unlock the front door from her chair in the living room for her nurses and non family visitors. Thank you August. My parents love this product.

I have an entire house of smart home products, and this could be my favorite yet! Why? It's so nice to have the door auto unlock when you get to it carrying a bunch of items. If we are out of town, it's very easy to give access to someone else to feed the pets. Also, a full log of who is coming and going, if the door is left open, ect... It's a great lock I highly recommend!

DIY smart lock, Connects to a Wi-Fi module and has a DoorSense open/close sensor that alerts you when you have left the door open for an extended period of time. This Ihad been great addition to my home automation setup.

Simple & easy to use ! I love the Auto Unlock feature; it’s great for when I come home with groceries I don’t hVe to worry about fumbling with my keys. If I ever forget to lock the door when leaving the house, or can’t be sure if I did, I can always check the app & lock it from anywhere. It’s a great peace of mind.

Overall I am very pleased with this smart lock. I looked at a number of different ones but this had the best features and overall build quality. Two small drawbacks are the large size (wish the lever case was a little more streamlined) & the need to have a separate connect device. For that size it should all be included in one device.

I installed the combination August Smart Lock Pro along with the Connect which allows me to control my deadbolt lock from anyway in the world. The App itself made it very easy to install and use. Very Happy with it. So far I have only used it to lock/unlock door with the August App itself. I have not experimented with the settings that allow auto lock and unlock with location of phone.

This is a great smart home addition! Perfect for an apartment because you keep the original keys. Just make sure to bring your phone with you or you may get locked out if you have your auto lock turned on! I like being able to remotely let guests in. No need for them to have a key to access the place. May order the keypad!

Love the convienence of being hands free. Easy to install and easier to use.

Have used this lock for several months and can’t tell you how much I love being keyless. The outside looks like a normal lock so an intruder wouldn’t tell it is smart lock. Battery has lasted without issue and I would say 98% of the time I approach my door it is waiting unlocked. I get a push notification every (adjustable) every time locks/unlocks for peace of mind.

Easy to install, takes around 20 minutes. Works fantastic!

Use it for AirBNB and it works great. Very happy with it.
