I wanted a microwave that didn't look like a bulky microwave. This is the only one on the market that fit my newly remodeled kitchen decor. Perfect compact size for reheating a dinner plate. Has plenty of power, too. The controls are not highly intuitive (reset button is in a strange place, programming is a little awkward) but you get use to it. Also runs a little loud. Those are things I can live with when it looks this good on my counter and didn't cost a bundle.

Was skeptical at first but with not many options at this width I took a gamble and can say we have no regrets. Stylish and works well so far 1 month in.

I have never loved the appearance of microwave ovens. Most are ugly large boxes - even small ones manage to be eyesores. My kitchen is white and gray with stainless and marble. The microwave needed to be in a conspicuous location. I looked high and low for a nice looking microwave and finally found this beauty. But it still had to function well for the things I regularly use a microwave oven to do - reheat, pop popcorn, defrost are the 3 main needs. I have been completely satisfied with the performance. I can't comment on longevity yet.

Never heard of this brand Avanti before. Took a chance because I wanted a very small sleek modern design microwave that wouldn't take up too much counter space. It is definitely one of the nicer looking microwaves I've ever seen, but has some issues. You cannot cancel the loud beep noise when your food is done. The beep will also remind you and beep again later, if you forget to open the door and get your food. I find that annoying. Finally, our microwave started making a noise as the turntable rotated around inside. The noise started getting louder each week 'till finally I thought the thing was going to blow up. Then one day, I removed the glass plate, and the plastic raised holder and sprayed WD-40 (a lubricant) inside the hole hoping to lubricate the moveable parts deep inside the microwave. It worked ! So far it has stopped the noise. If the noise would have continued, we would have tossed it out a long time ago!

This is without a doubt the worst microwave I have ever used. We have two of these in the break room at my office and they are both horrible at heating food. I will add 2 to 3 minutes to the recommending cooking time on any frozen meal and it will still come out with cold spots, sometimes even still frozen spots. If the whole point of having a microwave is to heat thins quickly this is microwave should have never been designed. I think using a toaster oven is faster.

i bought it on thanksgiving and it fried on 1/5/15
