Ok to anyone that says no extras, well think about it you get the blu ray version and the dvd for 22 bucks, the menu does offer the movie in I believe it was 3 to 5 languages which is a lot compared to some others that only come in two, then the option of true hd surround, or dolby surround, which do sound super amazing in either one of those two, I loved how my room sounded with the surround option. The blu ray looks amaizing so good some parts will look as if the actors where right there behind the screen. Well in all I do recommend you to buy this movie at first you might think haa its boring, but then it gets quite good.

I went to the theater the first time to view this movie in 3D and was blown away. After this I saw it a couple more times. The art direction and visual effects set the bar for all new scifi epic adventures. The story was imaginative in a way that forced me into a viceral trance thoughout the entire movie. This movie is totally captivating and a must for all scifi and action adventure fans. I hope it's delivered in 3D, so I can relive the total theater experience in my home. PHENOMENAL.

I loved the movie and I couldn't wait to buy a BluRay copy which I did the very same day the movie came out, but I am so extremely disappointed that it doesn't come with any extras, that means they are going to re release Avatar so we are going to have to buy it again if we want the extras, behind scenes, deleted scenes, etc.... I hope that's how it comes when they release the 3D version.

I bought this movie on it's release date and watched it on my older 40' LCD TV and was impressed with the movie and picture. I then got a 47" 240HZ LED TV and played it again. OMG, what a difference! The details, sharpness, it was nothing short of amazing. The picture almost looked 3D it was so good. This is clearly the standard that all other Blu-Ray DVD's should shoot for! I also enjoyed the story and the acting was very good.

I am not a great fan of Sci-Fi, but this is one of the best presentations in all the rating categories. The movie starts off a little slow, but after about 10 minutes I was rivited to my chair waiting for the next action scene. This is a "must see" for anyone that wants to watch a great movie.

I agree with a few previous comments. When you put Dances With Wolves, The Last Samurai, Pocahontas, and The Smurfs together with a Star Wars scifi theme you get Avatar. I sat and watched this movie for three days straight and saw it multiple times in theaters. I recommend watching this movie to everyone atleast once even if you don't like this kind of genre. I definitely recommend this to everyone!

Without a Doubt the MOST INCREDIBLE Blu-Ray Disc I have EVER seen!!! Cinematography, CGI, Art Direction, Special FX are PHENOMENAL! What do people expect 3D to work on a Regular TV? Get REAL! I like that THIS Widescreen Version FILLS my Widescreen HD 16:9 TV as it SHOULD! It as almost as if you could REACH IN and TOUCH the Characters. The Story is as old as time, BUT the Scenery,Creatures & the CGI are TOP NOTCH. Very Close to not being able to discern Reality from CGI!!

I have a decent collection of blu-ray movies now, and this is by far the most amazing looking movie I have seen. Now when I show friends and family why they need a HDTV and blu-ray player, this is the movie I show them so they can see what they are missing out on.

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The plot is great and the special effects are stunning. When I watched it on DVD I was very pleased, but then I saw it on blu-ray and WOW! I was blown away with the detail. If you must own this movie blu-ray is the way to go. It was selling at $29.99 but BB matched it to Wal-Mart's list price of $21.96.

Although the plot is somewhat predictable, that doesn't take away from the amazing visual effects and stunning 3D animation. This is a movie that anyone can enjoy, and is definitely worth buying as you will want to watch it over and over again.

A previous person wrote: "What is the point in buying any movie (Avatar included) that is not released in fullscreen format? I didn't buy a large screen HD tv to see a shrunken-size movie release. No, thank you. At least give us the option of viewing it in fullscreen or widescreen. I have lots of dvd's that offer that choice." WAKE UP MAN!!! You want widescreen for your NEW TV. Fullscreen is for the older square TVs.

All in all, I really enjoyed this movie, enough so that I've watched it twice and will likely watch it again at some point. The blu-ray video and sound is quality is great. If you can get it at a reasonable price and enjoy a good scifi, this one is worth considering.

I saw this in theaters in 3-D. This had to be one of the best movie's I've seen in a long time. It had amazing effects, a good story, good cast with good acting, and great action. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone. Even if you don't think you will like it at least pick it up as a rental, you wont be dissapointed. This movie is going to be amazing on Blu-Ray I can't wait to pick it up!

This is a great movie to watch on Blu Ray. I bought it at the same time I bought my new Blu Ray DVD Player, and the detail and depth of the picture really blew me out of the water!

I love the quality picture and sound of this blu-ray movie. if you loved it in the theaters in 3D and all that like I did. I guarantee you'll love in your living room in high definition.

This has to be the best Movie I have ever seen or been witness to Spectacular. The action never stops, many light hearted moments also. Imaginative and colorful, full of excitement at every turn. The 3D in XD and IMAX were in themselves breathtaking, can’t wait for the 3D version to hit the store.

this movie is worth buying.. esp in BluRay only way to see this one can't even imagin it in 3D Wow must be totally great have all you snacks lined up as this is a long movie but it will keep you on the edge of your seats Right and Wrong Lessions are taught here so take heed nuff said over all Buy the movie great flick Colors Wow Great plot as well

There aren't special features but you can go online with the code they give you to see the special features. The only thing that bugs me is the main character in real life is Australian and his accent comes out sometimes in the movie even though he's suppossed to be american

Yes you can watch it in 3D. If you have a Samsung 3DTV or any 3D TV that does conversion on the fly then there is an option that converts any 2D to 3D. Put in the Blu ray version which by the way has the best picture of any Blu Ray and switch the option to on and guess what you are watching it in 3D. Why wait 10 months.

Excellent plot and idea of man who lost his legs and his brother getting a chance to get his legs and mobility back. Wonderful effects and flawless flow. Not so big on the "Earth First" themes, etc., but loved the whole thing from an imagination point.
