It's great to have this great piece of Marvel's movie in a steelbook case. Nothing much left in the air to talk about Marvel's the Avengers movie. This collectible comes with digital coupon code from the Movies Anywhere. Applying the coupon in there now I can watch my movie in Amazon Prime, Vudu or Google app in TV. Also which gives different viewing experience in different digital versions, like some shows in 4k UHD HDR, some in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos in UHD. Great watching experience in my 4k OLED HDR w/ Dolby Vision and UHD premium television along with Bose Soundbar w/ Sub and Surround sound system.

Avengers is a solid film that is the frame work that binds the current Marvel universe. This is a good stand alone offering, but you will get so much more out of it if you have seen the individual super hero movies. Moves at a good pace, and the SFX are top notch as you would expect from this franchise.

This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again. When I heard that this and Age of Ultron were getting the 4K treatment, I knew I had to get them. Since getting this steelbook I've rewatched the 4K disc twice, and noticed a lot of detail on costumes and walls that weren't as noticable on Blu-Ray. The Steelbook is the way to go since the regular 4K release is the same artwork as the re-releases back in September of last year. Same could be said for Age of Ultron. Plus the Steelbooks have exclusive Blu-Ray art while the regular releases just get the plain blue disc. A must have for any collector, like myself.

One of the movies that rebooted the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). If you are buying this, then try and get the best version possible. I prefer Blu-Ray and 3D with the Digital as a minimum. I saw this in the theater in 3D when it came out, and prefer to buy the 3D version when available. The format is nearly extinct again. So I try and pick them up as soon as they are released. Otherwise, you pay way more than the original price.

A truly must own for any comic-book fan alive!! The fact that the Avengers delivers wasn't ever the question..., the question was how would a story be successful with such egos involved with superheros the likes of Iron-man, the HULK, Thor and Captain America all on screen at the same time!!! It's truly and Epic flick and a must own for any fan!!

Take this nugget of info in your consideration while reading. I'm still relatively new to 4K, and my focus, (with an 1100+ film collection,) has been on using this format where it shines best: most of the new releases and replacing older, previously owned films that utilize FX as a major film device. While my library in 4K is still small, Avengers fit the bill on the latter category, as well as being packaged in my latest love: a steelbook. The only "rehash" I'll give on Avengers as a film, is that among them all, Infinity War included, it's still my favorite of the Avengers film- even if only by the VERY slightest of margins, and really... only due to the magic of realizing a fully-fleshed out film featuring so many main characters without any of them truly suffering in this major get-together. It really was the first of its kind, laying the groundwork and standard for future Avengers AND DC'S Justice League. As far as worthiness into a double dip to your wallet, in my opinion, it's a resounding "yes!" While some MAY be disappointed there's no new extras, that would be a poor excuse not to re-invest in one of the best looking, (again, my experience is still limited,) non-native 4K filmed movies upgraded to this new standard. As a non-native 4K recorded movie, Avengers still stacks up against some of the very best that were filmed and released theatrically to take advantage of this new format, and of the films I own that fall into this "upgrade from non-4K" it really only ranks behind Peter Jackson's King Kong in highlighting what great care can accomplish in the upgrading process. Even then, Kong only outshines Avengers due to its more "natural" environments, settings, and detail- the skies, trees, and fur all really highlight an amazing usage that may be unfair to hold most non-native 4K upgraded films to as a standard. Do not take that comparison as a negative against Avengers. If it weren't for Kong, Avengers and possibly 1987's Predator 4K (all of which can be found at Best Buy, of course!) Would absolutely be the gold standard. I'm not always overly positive about Disney, but there's no doubt they spared nothing when taking such a tentpole film and began this update. It's gorgeous, it's beautiful, it's Marvelous, and it absolutely deserves a second spot on your movie shelf. Excelsior!

This is one of the best films I've ever seen, not just because it's a fun action film, filled with characters that I've grown to love, but because it was the first of its kind, setting the bar for other multiple-character franchises. It's a first, and because of this it absolutely has its flaws, but it's definitely a game changer. Despite having seven lead characters (counting all Avengers plus Loki), everyone got at least a few moments of screen time devoted to their development. With seven leads, that's pretty amazing. We have the quiet moments, the little gestures and phrases that have been picked apart time and again by the fans that have granted a depth to the film that wouldn't have been possible if this were the first time we met any of these characters, and that's the real beauty of Avengers. It's a team-up flick, but it's a team-up of characters we've all been introduced to before. (Even if you hadn't seen any of the previous films, there was a sort of pop culture awareness around most of them by the time it was released that you'd be hard pressed to go in blind about anyone except the characters who didn't have their own film yet and were, however regrettably, less important because of it.) Combine that with a well-loved director who isn't afraid to sucker punch his audience, and you've got a perfect mix for a film that doesn't just thrill audiences with fight scenes that are larger-than-life, but gets people to invest emotionally in a fictional world. Avengers was released more than seven years ago, but the film is still being picked apart and very much alive in the hearts and minds of the fans because of Marvel's expert world-building. In every show, every film, you see threads that lead back (or forward) to other events in the Universe, and it's this sort of continuity that the fans love. They pick up on every little reference, read into every word of dialogue, every prop placement, every choice that the creative team makes, and this is what has made Avengers so successful. It stands up to that test, and even with twenty four films under Marvel's belt, there's still very few inconsistencies. (Especially when you compare it to the next largest Marvel franchise, X-Men, which has some major timeline problems around Wolverine.) All in all, this is a film that should be in every collection because it's not just great, it's revolutionary

I remember sitting in the theatre when this movie first came out. I was amazed. I’ve been a superhero fan since I could, basically, walk. This movie had everything a great hero film should have : action, heart, great storyline, plot twists, humor, seriousness, and guts. It was a great film back then, in 2012, and it’s still a great film now. Looking back at Avengers1 to Infinity War(A3) is... amazing and heartbreaking. Amazing, because you can see how much the characters have grown over the TEN year period of these films.... but heartbreaking because.. well, if you’ve seen Avengers: Infinity War, then you know why it’s heartbreaking.... if you haven’t seen A4 yet... please do me a favor and go watch ALL of the MCU movies - starting with “Iron Man” 2008.... and ending with “Captain Marvel” 2019.... you’ve gotta see the whole story. This, “The Avengers” (2012) is, really, where it all started. And “Avengers: End Game” 2019 is where it all ends...

The Avengers as they were meant to be. But honestly, Bruce Banner is not always mad and he can’t just summon the Hulk whenever he feels. This is Marvel canon, and should not be messed with.

The Avengers movie was what every kid dreamt about. A movie with all of your favorite heroes and Hawkeye. LOL. This movie had a lot of build up and it did not disappoint and now that ENDGAME has been released we get to look back and see how important this film is to the franchise and even to an upcoming TV spin off on the DISNEY streaming service. This is a must own for the collection. If you can afford the 4k upgrade do it. This movie is what it was made for. Also BB did a great job with the steelbook.

In this first Avengers movie installment, Nick Fury recruits the original six Avengers to battle Thor's evil brother Loki who threatens Earth with the unlimited power of the Tesseract cube. The cube contains the power infinity stone that Thanos will later seek in the 2018 "Avengers: Infinity War" movie. My favorite moment is when Captain America tells Hulk to SMASH!!! Superb movie from beginning to end. Marvel protects the world and later the universe!!!! Superhero Fans ... ASSEMBLE!!!! A+++

What can I say... brilliant actors, with brilliant story telling, and brilliant relationships amongst not only as a marvel team, but of the actors who portray them. Every single actor is perfectly suited for the hero they portray, but when you out put them in one movie... it’s like lighting in a bottle that doesn’t always come easily. Great way to see how each character needs to adapt, trust, and relay on one another. Fun, action packed, and really well written.

The 4K UHD addition stands head and shoulders above the original Blu-ray disc as far as Image quality goes. Well the price is somewhat higher than the original steel book release, this release presents another opportunities for collectors who missed out on the first edition to have a nice addition to their shelves. The cover art is very well done in comparison to some of the more recent pop art releases from marvel, so I would highly recommend picking this one up before it’s gone.
