This is one of the rare times id say just stick with the regular Blu-ray. The 4k is good but you see all the makeup easily so for me that takes it down a bit

They suckered me again! First, they got me to buy the collection on DVD. Then, they released it on Blu Ray, so I purchased it again. Now, they went and released it in 4K - so how could I not buy it? I already know that they'll release it in 8K, and I look forward to being suckered again!
Just quit reading, and buy a copy like I did - over, and over, and over, and over......

I own the DVD set to back to the Future. Starring Michael j Fox as Marty and Christopher Lloyd as doc Emmett Brown. I bought the 4K Blu-ray DVD version to upgrade the collection. It's sharper it's nicer, but regardless you're talking one heck of a great trilogy if you have the original DVD set the 4K upgrade if you have 4K is a great upgrade by standards. I had gotten a $25 off certificate when it was on sale for 40 so I wound up paying basically with tax and everything $18 for the trilogy which can't be beat. I highly recommend it and anybody and everybody who knows the trilogy of back to the Future this is a must-have.

Good thing I bought this and not the Back To The Future Trilogy on Blu ray. This one has the Ultimate Trilogy Blu ray and the digital. Very happy I choose this one instead. And it got all kinds of special features that some people like to watch. Specially me. They worked very hard to make it look right. Those deleted scenes on the first Back To The Future gladly they took them out. It looks too stupid and dumb. Two great music videos by Huey Lewis & The News & ZZ Top. Sadly you have to take the Blu ray disc out of the pocket. To me that's very dangerous. I don't like touching the bottom of the disc. Carefully take it out as much as you can. Great performances and roles by Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, Thomas F. Wilson and all the rest of them. I recommend this one to buy instead. You won't regret it.

The only complaint I have about this is knowing that it's the 35th anniversary edition makes me realize how old I am. I remember when this was a brand new movie. Thanks to a brilliant 4k transfer, it still LOOKS like a brand new movie, even if it reminds me I'm not brand new anymore. If you're considering buying this, then you probably already know what you're getting in terms of the films themselves. They now look better than they ever have before (and this is my 4th (?) time buying all of these films (VHS, DVD, 25th anniversary Blu Ray, and now 4K). The first film is still, in my opinion, the best of the bunch, but it's a solid trilogy altogether (with part 3 being the weakest entry, but still enjoyable). Stop debating and just get it.

I'm admittedly not a video purist and am much more into audio, and the Atmos track is a nice improvement over prior releases. It adds a greater sense of space and dimension to the sound field, but it is done just right and does not overtly call attention to itself or drown out the audio image. The video is great and is also an upgrade over the previous blu-ray release, which left a lot to be desired. There is some noticeable DNR (which doesn't bother me), but the grain structure has been preserved and overall color and detail improved. Each film also improves in video quality sequentially, the 3rd being the best of the bunch. I'm very happy with this release, and the sale price for roughly $13 per film is well worth it.

Going back in time to when I first saw Back to the Future in 1985, it turned out to be my favorite film of the year and the two sequels that followed made this trilogy an absolute must-own in 4K!! I purchased the 25th anniversary blu-ray ten years ago and thought the hi-def picture was decent. However, the 4K picture is much better with brighter colors and deeper blacks and the best this movie franchise has ever looked. The Dolby Atmos sound is also very good and also an improvement. If you love these movies, the 4K is definitely the way to go.

Fantastic collection for any Back to the Future fan.
I already had this collection on blu-ray, but being a fan of the series, I just had to get them in 4k, and I am glad I did. The 4k transfer beats its standard blu-ray counterpart in every way. Better color, clarity, and contrast abound.
This is a perfect example of how to remaster older movies for 4k televisions.

The best the series has ever looked. Remember it is 35years old.. They didn't have 4K cameras back then and the FX tech wasn't all CG like today. So don't expect a miracle here, but they did do an AMAZING job making these movies look as good as they possibly good. Same thoughts for the audio, no miracles, but easily the best its ever sounded. The bonus features are very extensive and super informative and interesting.

Fantastic 4k set of a timeless, 80s classic!!! I've grown up with everything from vhs to DVD and Blu ray and now it is finally on 4k Blu ray. This is a must have for any fans of Marty McFly and doc brown!!! The 4k transfer is excellent and whether hdr10 or Dolby vision, I think you'll be quite pleased with the hdr. Sound is also really great and vibrant. Definitely don't miss out especially if it's on sale

Impressive box set of the trilogy in very good 4K quality. Like all Universal re-releases on home video, it has all of the many featurettes from past incarnations (all the varied making-of documentaries, trailers, poster art campaign, etc.) but what’s new is on the bonus disc. Featurettes on their display at The Hollywood Museum, audition tapes of other actors for the roles of Marty McFly, the restoration of the DeLorean, and two episodes of the animated show. It’s definitely a worthy addition to anyone’s home video library.

Excellent transfer in 4K! There is a noticeable improvement in both detail and color & shadow from the previous blu-ray from several years ago - thanks to Dolby Vision. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is also a noticeable improvement as well as the soundtrack is now more full and dimensional sounding. It is almost like watching these great films anew!

Just watched all three 4K discs this week and they played beautifully without any issue. The 4K looks great on them. Almost too good! In some scenes the immense clarity can give some of the 80s movie magic a cheap and cheesy feel, but, that's also the charm in that decade of movies. Overall, fantastic 4K set and I'm more than pleased with my purchase.
As far as the movie, it's Back to the Future? What more needs to be said. A historic movie trilogy forever embedded in Hollywood history.
