Don’t know what the hype is even with an adapter didn’t fit my iPhone well. I’d rather play with a ps5 controller or an xbox controller for less money, I think it’s just one of those trendy technology fads I wasn’t impressed.

My son who I would say is the iPhone expert opened this gift up Christmas night and tried to use it. He has the iPhone 14 and when he inserted his phone into the device it didn’t work as he expected. Not that it didn’t turn on, it didn’t fit properly. After reading reviews online other people were having problems as well. He didn’t want me to waste my money trying to get it to work so I took it back for a full refund today.

I didn’t like using it with my iPhone 14 max just felt too big , u have to add a adapter to put the iPhone in , I didn’t like that fact that in some games u could navigate the menus in game u had to touch the screen on phone to navigate the menu .. u don’t need to purchase a subscription to use it but the do offer premium subscription,, id rather just use my Ps5 controller to be honest

Was not a fan. I bought it thinking that I could connect to PlayStation while out and about and I couldn’t.

So the item itself is ok quality, but overall it’s terrible. How Sony put their name on it as an official PlayStation accessory is beyond me. The joysticks are terrible compared to a regular controller (they are way to loose and always over turn) . The layout is of a Xbox controller and not a PlayStation controller. Myself I had to remove my case in order for my phone to fit.

Doesnt stay connected to your PS, but why use this as a controller at home when you can buy the actual controller for less. To use with backbone apps on your phone requires an expensive subscription… and doesn’t include games included with the PS subscriptions… what is the point of this?

It didn’t work very well 20 feet away from console was lagging

The iPhone didn’t fit correctly even with the extra piece. The Backbone app is not worth it. Will be returning.

Do not buy! Games are limited and connection to play ps5 games is the worst thing ever. DO NOT BUY!

Item was defective, went to return the item and told I was past the two week return period. It has always been 1 month. Then I was offered a $50 yearly “membership” that would allow a backdate and full refund. Unfortunately I did not believe this policy made any sense, therefore I decided to throw away the defective item and never step foot in the store again. Sorry Best Buy you lost my business.

Misleading and useless product. Advertises that you can play Roblox on it (primary reason we bought it doesn’t work) even after doing tons of research it says it only works on a few game modes within Roblox and after testing those games too it doesn’t work. Then it advertises that you can play all these games on it. However 90% of them are through ps remote play which requires a ps4 or ps5 to use. If I wanted to have my daughter play on my ps5 I wouldn’t have bought this thing in the first place. Please don’t waste your money

The Backbone is a great product or could be if it fit the phones it is advertised to fit. I have. 14 Pro Max and it needs the adapter to fit. Well not really. Not it is installed crooked and at an angle. It is lokked in but feels like it could fall out. It seems they forgot about the camera hump. If your phone had camera lenses in a line down the side it would fit no problem. Kind if disappointing.

My kids didn’t care for this. Every game cost extra money and there isn’t many games available

Wasn’t for me. I don’t like having to leaving actually game system in rest mode to access your games on to this device

Absolutely hands down not a good device customer support is horrible. I would never recommend this product line to anyone.

The battery did not last more than 1hr off the charger. Everytime I would open a game i would have issues getting it to load it. I woudl get updates and downloads and never be able to use the Ally.

All the games I try on iOS show the Xbox buttons and not the Playstation ones. What’s the poiint of selling a controller with Playstation buttons if it doesn’t show them? Waste of money, just get the Xbox version.

The bad thing about this product is it should be able to link to games you already have on the phone so you can use it to control apps

It’s not for all iphone even if has lightning port. Best buy doesn’t let me return the product.
