Took the 3D Plunge and I'm Blown Away

As a technophile, I've been looking to get into 3D printing for both myself and because I have young children. My wife and friends have been urging me to check it out but I just didn't feel like I was ready because of various issues I considered deal-breakers. Then one friend told me to check out Bambu Labs, as they fixed all the hacks and compromises that had me hesitating and here we are.
I actually almost impulse bought the X1C when it went on flash sale here, but then I saw rumors of the new P2S set to launch any day that basically fixed all the minor issues with the X1C that were also upgrades for the P1S.
Needless to say, I'm glad I waited and for the price, I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of prints and the ease of use. If you've used any moderately complex software, you'll have no problems at all using Bambu Studio to make minor edits and changes to prints but realistically you won't have to change much at all other than set the filament colors from your AMS2 Pro.
The AMS2 Pro is one of the major benefits of this package, as it increases your multi-color printing capabilities to the 4 in the AMS to the 1 on the side. I actually added a 2nd AMS2 Pro, which can be done with no additional hardware with the P2S, that gives me 8 total colors by giving up the side feed. This really opens up the ability to do multi-color prints with ease, as the P2S and Bambu Studio automatically handle swapping and purging the filament for you allowing you to just wait for the total print to finish. You just need to load and dry your filament in the AMS before starting the print. That's the other major benefit of the AMS2 Pro, it will dry your filament by heating and removing moisture, which is very important for quality printing especially with certain materials like PETG. Wet/humid filament will have more trouble sticking, extruding uniformly or keeping form while printing. Get ready to learn about silica gel and humidity.
Even if you use more colors than your AMS2 Pro can hold, you can change mid-print too, but obviously that means you have to keep an eye on the printer and slowing down the print if it stops before you swap filaments. The traditional method of printing was to use monofilament and then paint the resulting models and prints, which is its own hobby, but for now it is just more efficient and more fun for me and my kids to just do the multi-color prints.
The only downside of multi-color prints is that you do use a lot more filament as the hot end will waste some filament to purge the old color while the new color is primed so that you don't get a color mix or bleed. The way to counter this is to do multiple prints if possible, instead of just 1 print at a time so that the amount of purge is fixed and reduced by N number of prints. The next level comes with the H2C, which uses the Vortek 6 head system which swaps the actual hot-ends so that there is no purge waste and allows you to print with 6 different colors at once. This might be my only regret, that I didn't just take the plunge and go right for the H2C, which is also larger along with the ability to print multiple colors, faster and with less waste.
There is very little learning curve when printing with PLA, but using different filaments do require additional research and can be more difficult to work with. I have printed with PETG as well and it is a little bit more finicky. There's also TPU and ABS for more durable prints, but you will want to be aware those latter two can have fumes that you will want to make sure you have good ventilation.
One of the biggest benefits of this 3D Printer however, is that it is a great way for me to spend time and bond with my young children. They are fascinated by this little machine that prints awesome pop toys for them and their friends so it is a STEM gateway for them while I get to spend time with them picking and choosing what to print next. I haven't stopped printing on this thing since I set it up 2 weeks ago!!! The next step will be to design and modify some prints and eventually, I'll get to print some of the things I wanted to print for myself, like power tool holders, brackets, various other things like that.
Until then we'll be printing Christmas articulating snowmen for kids friends and teachers, Kpop toys, articulating dragons, all the cool stuff that impresses the kids and their parents too. I did go ahead and spend a few hundred on filament in multiple colors, and the results so far have been amazing.
Definitely looking to grab that H2C or its successor at some point but no regrets taking the plunge with this P2S, and judging by some of the hobbyists I've seen, this is pretty normal as the only bottleneck to creativity is how fast and how much you can print at once. I've just scratched the surface, but I am enjoying my 2 week crash course on 3D Printing so far!!!

While I am not new to 3D printing, started in 2018. The P2S is my second Bambu and second core XY printer. A year ago I wanted to jump on the P1S, but it lacked the advanced features of the newer A1 (easy nozzle swaps, flow calibration and touch screen.) While the A1 has been a fantastic machine, albeit a messy layout with its AMS lite configuration. I wanted to be able to print enclosed and have higher temps available. The H series looked amazing, but simply don't have enough room for where my life path is heading. When P2S finally became available, bought it on day one. And while P2S may not be the absolute beast Bambu printer. Let me try to tell you why the P2S is the printer you should buy.
Main reasons to buy:
Simple clip style nozzle swaps 0.2, 0.4 0.6, 0.8. Buy spares in case of clog or special projects.
Flow Calibration.
Camera and time lapse are pretty good now.
Great touch Screen.
Love the humor on the display after each print.
Easily print up to ASA filament on default settings.
Prefer printing from PC, but app is decent on certain devices.
AMS 2 is heated. Just can't print and dry simultaneously, yet.
Holiday season '25 had great 0% finance options with Best Buy Citi card. This may not apply to all or when you purchase.
Downsides:
AMS 2 Pro hates cardboard spools (cardboard is not good in AMS). Buy refillable spool brands like Bambu and Sunlu till you have a few spools stocked.
Not as quiet as my A1. Not too bad unless you place in living room.
The internal filter may not be enough if printing ABS/ASA. External venting is up to the user creating a system at this point.
Sweet Spot Bambu:
The P2S sits in the sweet spot of ability to print filaments that are more functional and not just trinkets and toys. The encloser is not heated, but does get up to temp for many of the better structural plastics. I have printed PLA, PETG, TPU up to ASA. Everything prints nearly perfect with standard settings of the printer. There are even tougher plastics you can try. I am now able to print what I wanted more so than the A1's limits. And now taller prints are less prone to failure over bed slinger printers.
It may be hard to justify an $800 3D printer unless you make money from it when the A series is so good for more than half as much. Take it from me. If you buy either A1 printer. You will quickly want another printer. Had the P2S with the best of the A1, P1S and a splash of X1C been around a year ago. It would be the only printer I would I have today. Sure multi-color prints are a poop nightmare compared to the top H2C offering. And if lots of color prints are your thing, there are options now for similar money (U1). Usually, I only print one and two color items 70%+ of the time. I do also have the HT-AMS and have done a few 5 color prints, and they came out flawless. Just print while you sleep and make sure you have a great big poop bucket.
While I thought my A1 w/AMS lite would go up for sale after the P2S arrived. I seem to keep printing with it. So, maybe everyone is meant to have multiple printers when results on Bambu is this good and reliable.
As for the only real complaints, and it's only nitpicking and not a Bambu issue for the most part. Aside from needing to print an exhaust option to vent ABS/ASA - VOC's since the internal filter seems to not be sealed enough with the cabinet. It is the AMS 2 pro, that I take some issue with. I knew the heater only dried when idle. Did not know the rolling of spools while drying only happens when idle and filament not fed into ports. So basically, to dry filament and use auto roll. Spools must not be unwound, unless they update the feature.
Also be aware when you buy filament. Try to get plastic spools as much as possible. Sunlu and Bambu both sell spools that are reusable. And once you have a few of those, you will be able to peel Cardboard spools and mount them on the sunlu or Bambu spool. Cardboard spools, even with printed plastic adapters, constantly foul if you print multi-color projects. I am using the A1 with its AMS lite to run out the last of my cardboard spools. It has been a champ at this.
Overall, buy what you can afford. Bambu is "current" king for a reason. Reliable. Ease of use. Parts are readily available, if ever needed. Bambu prints give extremely consistent results. Tinkering days are over.

I've been watching this model since its first announcement. I saw it sell in other countries first, but I guess P2S was waiting for the H2S announcement in the United States. Anyway, I'm very curious about the price because it's an upgrade from the P1S. From my understanding, it uses the latest nozzle—the same one used on the H2D—which allows 30-second nozzle swaps. This is a huge upgrade for me in a single-nozzle system. Besides other upgrades that make me think it is even better than the X1C.
I've tried various printing tasks with it and haven't had any issues, except occasionally when printing ASA with a 0.2mm nozzle. I've seen others have similar issues, and it might be the nature of the nozzle that makes printing ASA with a 0.2mm nozzle nearly impossible. However, ASA is the most challenging printing material I've ever used. The self-maintenance and debugging manual is pretty clear. (I was really harsh on this printer—I basically disassembled the entire extruder module to fix an ASA filament jam on the third day I had the printer.) I was able to fix the issue easily by following the steps, but as a 3D printer owner, you need some level of hands-on ability, right?
Overall, it's pretty reliable. $850 for the AMS2 Pro + P2S printer combo is a steal compared to $550 for the AMS + P1S combo. You can expect about 99% of your prints to be handled successfully by this machine.

Fantastic printer. It printed right out of the box without any issues. The print quality is great, and I would highly recommend it. My last printer was an Ender 3 Pro that I heavily modified and upgraded to have similar features to a Bambu printer, but it came with lots of headaches. The P2S is easy to use, prints hassle-free, and is very fast. The Bambu Studio app on both PC and mobile is great and easy to use. The built-in camera feature is also very helpful for long prints when you’re not home, and combined with the AI, errors are caught quickly. If you're new to 3d printing I highly recommend Bambu Labs and the P2S!

Easy set up I originally bought the first edition and returned for the
P2S
Unpacking was super easy set up was also easy. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure you buy the needed materials to try. A starter kit does not come with the printer so if you were not prepared with filaments, you would not be able to try right out of the box. Otherwise I would highly recommend. I am still getting used to the software however, everything related to Best Buy in their services has been excellent to this point.

I have been waiting 2 months for this product to be released. From the time arriving through setup and calibration, I was printing quality items within an hour. The simplicity of 3D printing has come along way over the last 6-7 years. I would recommend the brand and this product to anyone considering getting into 3D FDM printing. It is in the mid price range of printers but offers some great perks such as multi-color prints with a variety of material types-PLA, Petg, ABS, and engineered filaments. This is a great printer for you and your family.

I got this printer about two weeks ago and it’s great! The only issue that has happened so far is that my last two prints started failing and it was because the tool head fell and the gum that’s on the head also fell but that one actually broke. Thankfully there’s a spare one but I’m just annoyed that now I have to get a new one in less than two weeks of having this new printer. I hope the falling off head tool doesn’t happen again or as frequent and if there’s a tip of how to avoid this happen I would greatly appreciate it. But besides that, the printer is great.

Lots of improvements from the Bambu Lab P1S. Really like the hot swappable nozzle change option. You get the upgraded AMS 2 pro aswell which has the filament drying capability. Also the upgraded camera is one of my favorite changes from the P1S. Its really makes a difference and with the AI spaghetti detection has saved me a few times from a failed print.

If you want a print and forget straight out the box option, Bambu is the way to go. The P2S is on another level. It prints at such an amazing quality that it’s almost unthinkable that it’s a sub $1k printer. Only brand I recommend to new comers and you can’t go wrong no matter which model you choose.

Having put about 100 hours on the otinter now, i can say that this thing is fantastic. Other than some bed adhesion from some models, this has given me priny after print with no issue. I like how quiet it is while running and this makes me want another one.
