My dad got this as a Christmas gift a long, long time ago. We sat on the couches in our living room for the entirety of Christmas break watching these. It's a great show and a great memory. I've stolen my Dad's dvd collection a thousand times....but the DVD's were starting to show their age as things went HD. Picked these up so I could keep enjoying this series at a better resolution. This blueray set does just that. It gives me this awesome show and makes it look better on my TV. If you've never seen this series or want to upgrade the quality of an old DVD set...do it. This series rules. I re-watch the whole thing at least once a year.

Band of Brothers is an excellent war epic spanning 10 episodes. Each episode I watched I felt myself engaged and not wanting to stop continuing until the very end. I saw a few episodes on and off on cable before but experiencing the series on blu-ray disc is the definitive way of watching Mr. Hanks and Mr. Spielberg's classic WWII series. You can see every little detail of dirt and sweat on the faces of the soldiers. I love how they made the look and feel of the action in a gritty sepia type tone. If you love war pictures, Saving Private Ryan, or just a good series in general, you won't be disappointed with Band of Brothers on blu-ray.

Have watched 4 of the 10 episodes and so far I am loving the series. It's a heart-wrenching, inspirational, and a gritty war series that's based on actual events and soldiers. A must watch for any WW2 history buffs. Also, there is a field guide that you can enable called "In the field with the men of easy company" that gives you information about battles, soldiers, and other educational information as you watch the series. I highly recommend watching the series with this field guide as it gives information and pictures of the actual soldiers in the series and it tells you short educational information about the battles.

This is the third time I have purchased Band of Brothers as a gift for a family member. I had two uncles who fought in WWII. I have always wanted to learn more about what they went through. When Band of Brothers was first aired on television I taped each episode. I was so glad when it became available on DVD and now Blu-ray. Any man or woman with an interest in WWII would benefit from seeing this series. Steven Ambrose collected information from members of the 101st Airborne to write his book which inspired the TV series. From book to film, you will notice good research, writing, acting and directing.

Band of Brothers is an epic achievement in storytelling, and as close to perfect an adaptation of a book as any film may ever be. Simultaneously beautiful and agonizing, it doesn't needlessly tug at heartstrings or drown in cliches like most other war dramas. Since its premiere on HBO almost 15 years ago, through DVD and now Blu-Ray, I've watched the series in its entirely more than a dozen times, and take away something new after every viewing.

Band of Brothers follows Easy Company from storming the beaches in Normandy France to the end of WWII at the Eagle's Nest in Switzerland and the liberation of the Internment Camps. It is not just an action series (although there is a lot of action) rather it has intense character development. I truly enjoyed watching this series and feel like I have a better idea on what true sacrifices our soldiers made on the battle field. I am sure it was even more difficult that depicted.

Band of Brothers is my all time favorite miniseries. I have watched it so many times, that I wore out my initial set of DVDs. I was SO excited to come across the Blu-Ray version on sale, that i immediately snatched it up. The difference in quality when it comes to the picture is phenomenal. Even if you do not have a Blu-Ray player, I absolutely recommend that you go out and buy a copy of the regular DVD Box set because I think everyone must watch this at least once in their life!

I'm actually reviewing this miniseries having viewed it originally in the complete set with both this picture & The Pacific together in one package. The whole series is top notch in every way with great writing, acting & video production. Your viewing experience steadily improves as the movie continues and the soldiers face greater challenges and fears, both in fighting the elements and the enemy, until the film truly peaks during its final moments.

The men of Easy Company together with the expertise of Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg tell one of the most compelling stories I've ever seen from training to D-Day, Hedge Row fighting, Operation Market Garden, Bastogne, into Germany, liberation of Death Camps, and the capture of Berchesgarden & Hitler's Eagle's Nest. Another one of the great benefits of this marvelous series was the close up interviews of the real men portrayed.

By all the accounts I have read and seen of this series, it is a historical summary of the major battles in World War 2 and what the men who fought in them went through. I wasn't born yet, but I'm grateful for their sacrifices. Thank you gentlemen! You can find more detailed excellent reviews here, but the video resolution in this remastered Blu-Ray box set is stunning!!

This tv show came out like 10 year ago, I only saw few episodes back then, but since that time I wanted to whatch the complete show. I was lucky to find this on sale, however if you can’t get the sale price i will still recommend you to get it. If you are into World War II films and tv shows, I will definitely pick this one up.

In my opinion, this is the best screen adaptation of any WW2 "story." The picture and sound on this blue ray are awesome. If you have a decent surround system, you'll hear the mortors launch in the distance, travel over and behind you and then explode. Once you start watching this series, you won't be able to stop until you get to the end. Wonderful script and actors.

My family and I watched this entire series together over breakfast, lunch, and dinner over a few days. Blue Ray is awesome and all the extras are of excellent taste and quality! Thanks for adding the soldier's interviews. They are heroes to my sons and daughters along with their parents!!! America's greatest generation, no doubt about it!!!

It goes without saying that this series blew everyone away. If you liked Saving Private Ryan, you will love this as it also features Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. You can tell by the pains taken detail, that these two hold a deep respect for this subject matter. But the real heroes are the members of the Easy Company, 506th PRI.

I already own the same set on DVD, but when this went on sale, I decided to upgrade my collection. I was pleased to see that it appears to contain all of the same content as the DVD set, but with better resolution. Not much more I can say that others have said beyond that. If you like BOB, then buying this is a no brainer.

I like how the series follows the regiment through basic training to the end of the war showing the core characters. There are several shows that spotlight an individual character. The show also starts with the actual soldiers chatting about their actions in the war. Great historical series, well acted and produced.

If you are a history buff or simply love anything WWII then this series is a must have. Everything from casting to acting and wardrobe is spot on. Great historical accounts from the actual guys of Easy Co. it will give you chills....a must have. I watch it every year!! It’s that good.

Already have the dvd, but couldn't pass up the sale on the blu Ray. Well worth the blu Ray upgrade with the video and sound improvements. If you've never seen this series and you're a veteran or a fan of war films this is definitely worth a look.

I remember my uncle telling me stories about the war and some of the battles that he was in. It made me think about the freedom that we have and I am greatfull for all the sacrefices that our veterans gave up! This was a great series and the second part (the pacific) was just as good! I will watch it time and time again.

Band of Brothers is one of the best shows ever made! It tells the epic story of one of the worlds finest men during a dark time in history. Further accented by the emotional accounts of the men who are being depicted. There is no way you can watch this show without being touched
