I bought this just to read e books from my local library. This my first e book reader and I was afraid I wouldn't like not having a paper book in my hands. I was wrong this is much easier to hold and keep track of my pages. No need from book marks anymore. My only big issue is I cannot load books directly from my library to the reader, I must load them on my computer, then to the reader. And it is sometimes difficult to get done and I must try several times. All things considered, price, quality, ease of use, it is a great product.

I like the glow lite feature to read at night. You have to be careful where you touch while reading. If you touch the screen, symbols appear throughout the page. Touch again and they disappear. You can advance or go back pages by accident very easily. The cover options are pretty poor. I like something more sturdy to protect it better. Overall, once you adjust to these quarks, it doesn't bother you as much. Overall, I really like it.

Nice little reader - simple, like a book would be - easy to see, held or propped - comfortable to read in daylight or in the dark - battery is sufficient.

I bought this online as an in-store pickup! gotta say easiest way to shop EVER! Battery life is great. Ease of use-great! I have had this for about a month ans no issues yet

This is the best eBook reader I've used. It is easily navigable, small and light and is simple to use for library books. Excellent.

I have touched several kind of e-readers. They all can be loaded with foreign language e-books. This is the only one which can only read English books. However, this is the only e-ink or e-paper reader with built-in back light. It is very convenient to read books in bed. page-turning button is a little too tight to operate.

I loathe to admit this, but my Paperwhite (PW2) is a superior device to the Nook SimpleTouch with Glowlight (NSTG), and here's my story: I had planned on getting the NSTG or the Kobo Aura, but when I'd been looking at both on Amazon, the guys at that website saw fit to send me a special offer and I purchased the PW2. I hated it. I hate how locked-down you are to Amazon's services. I wanted a device that was ideal for reading the news, the occasional book and to keep reference material on. This was difficult to load my stuff onto, you can't have your own wallpapers. Generally, you know it can do things, and Amazon won't let you to them! So, I decided to go right ahead and buy the NSTG anyway, when it was on special for about $50. I immediately applied a Jailbreak and this was all fine. In fact, I was able to run simple Android apps, I can control my iTunes from a Nook, that was cool. I have an RSS reader, for the news, and I can load books onto it over my Wifi. If this is your goal, then this is a cheap-and-cheerful Android device. If you just want a reader, then I personally found the PW2 screen that little bit clearer and nicer to use and read on. If you want a project that's kind of fun and a reader, buy the Nook. There has been a newer Nook since, by the way, and that might have a superior screen, I cannot comment as I've not seen it.

I wanted to see if I would like to use this type of device. This is a great beginner reader. Now I can access some books that are not available in print format. Although I still like to have an actual paper and ink book in my hands, I am starting to like this device. It will definitely be nice to carry this small light weight reader instead of several books on my next vacation.

Has great battery life, and is easy to use in daylight and reading in bed.

Bought first one for my daughter's birthday as she's been wanting an ereader and she absolutely loves it. Says light feature makes for easy nighttime reading. Bought second one for my wife's birthday and she loves better than her sony ereader because of the light feature.

This was easy to use, I like using the back light.

I bought my new nook after my previous one was not working any more. I love my nook. It is fast and the right size to carry. I recommend this buy!

I ordered this in the hope I could interest my Mother, who has macular degeneration in using it. The price was right and she will not need more than 2G. I find it easy to use and I think she will eventually take an interest in it. The glow light makes it very easy for here to see the letters Overall this is a great product at a great price.

I used to only like "real books" but the Nook has changed my thinking with regards to that. Love that I can check out books from the library for free as well as purchase almost any book through the Nook store!

I loved my Nook GloLight so much that we bought one for my husband also. We are both reading more then ever before. I take mine everywhere and at a moments notice I have it on and am reading.

I am new to the Nook but I can say I really enjoy being able to read anywhere, esp at night in bed without disturbing my husband. I take it with me all the time. Wish I had gotten one sooner.
