I use it for my trail rides because I carry everything I need plus. It is perfect for my three day travels so I don’t have to pack a suitcase. There are so many places on the outside for small gear. I love it.

Main compartment on the inside is not multi layered. My laptop keeps bouncing back and forth hitting me on the back while I am walking.
