This was very different, but shows you how close sherlock and the batman are. I enjoyed it seeing batman in a different setting and all the characters in different environment.

This has quickly become one of my favorite of the DC universe animated features. Very gritty and set in a turn of the last century London, this is very creatively done.

I loved this version of Batman and all of Gotham! Such a different take on everything. DC animation always delivers and this one was definitely one that did as well.

I love this comic and I thought that the animation was pretty good. The comic was very dark and this animation was also very dark and kind of kept true to the comic.

Gotham By Gaslight Review Gotham by Gaslight is rated R. This animated Batman films is definitely not for kids and you will know why within the first 5 minutes. The whole movie is made for adults. It is violent and containts sexual conduct. Again it is rated R for a reason. Now since that is out of the way onto the review. DC animated films rarely disappoint and this is no exception. Gotham by Gaslight is a murder mystery set in an alternate Batman timeline. DC comics fans will know this as an Elseworld comic book. This Batman is trying to hunt down Jack the Ripper in a Victorian era setting. With a unique art style and some great voice acting it delivers on all fronts. It is unfortunate that Kevin Conroy is not voicing Batman this time around but Bruce Greenwood does a great job. The story is short but packs a punch as it keeps you guessing until the end. There are some nods to other material that hardcore and casual fans might pick up as well. This is definitely one of my favorite Batman films and I really have no complaints other then wanting more. Gotham by Gaslight is available now on Blu Ray and DVD and it gets a 10 from me.

I didn't read the comic that this story is from so I cant compare it to that but like all DC animation this was really well done and had an suspenseful story

It’s a DC Animated movie so you already know it’s going to be good. If you are familiar with the original story then it’s a pretty faithful adaptation.

This is a creepy "what if?" Take on if Batman was alive during the time of Jack the Ripper. It was fun seeing variants of many of my favorite Batman characters.

This is a great original dc anamated movie. In the streets of England there is a serial murderer named jack the ripper and batman comes to the rescue.

I recently started collecting DC Universe movies as I hear they’re better than the live action movies. Great to know Best Buy has them all!

Interesting plot with Victorian Gotham being the setting where batman meets the Ripper. Animation is not the best, but the movie is still enjoyable.

This was a great story but the animation seemed choppy to me. A friend said that it was actually a type of animation and done that way on purpose.

The DC extended universe original animated movies, especially the ones rated in the PG-13’s & the R’s, are well worth the purchase.

They should make this a live action film. Good story and pace. This is what you would come to expect and conceptionalize. Solid DC release.

I was happy to find this movie at Best Buy. I was also able to get another selection that I was looking for while there.

Batman has slowly been rising to the top of DC. And DC has been creating some great animation for the Dark knight.

Enjoyed this title... I like the throw back in time having the ultimate detective tracking London's most elusive killer

Never read the graphic novel, but this film has a decent amount of surprises that will keep you guessing! Highly recommend!

this is a very interesting take on batman, and it pays off... if you like Old England and batman this is your movie
