"Batman: The Animated Series" is one of the greatest cartoon series ever made for television, and one of the best portrayals of the Dark Knight and his adventures (nothing will ever beat the Christopher Nolan/Christisn Bale trilogy.). This blu ray release allows it to be seen looking better than ever in gorgeous 1080p. Not every cartoon stand up well to HD, ad it can magnify the flaws in the animation, but "Batman" is one that does. A must own for fans.

Batman the animated series was and will always be the best show ever because of its amazing cast & writing. Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill are both the definitive Caped Crusader & The Clown Prince of Crime for me.(Besides Bale and Ledger of course)

Im enjoying my Batman collection Blu-ray set. But unfortunately. The digital code was not what I expected in the package . Instead i got two different cartoons~( Batman Mask of Phantasm & Batman & Mr.Freez Subzero) not the whole Batman animation as I thought that I would of get with this purchase... kinda misleading~Strange. ? Oh well. The quality is amazing and so is the sound... :)

I love the series’s Batman is great and the joker to.

This is a must grab if you grew up watching this as a kid. Even as an adult it still holds up, maybe it's the nostalgia talking but dang this is a neat set if you want to keep this beautiful memory alive to show your kids (when they are old enough)

I like watching movies and I can always trust bestbuy will have something for me to add to my collection. The batman series was something I always wanted and finally got. I also was happy when I saw u guys had criterion films I got cronos that was a great film.

Code still works as of 4/30/2020. Code redeems in HD and comes with two of the animated movies in HD.

I absolutely love this series when comes to Kevin Conroy’s batman to Mark Hamill’s Joker, I highly recommend buying this if you grew up watching it on Cartoon Network and want to rewatch it in bluray!

Childhood memories on digital.. what more is there to ask for.

Still a great show for any Batman fan this show wowed everyone when it first aired and it still wows me today, but if you’re considering buying you already know all that. The only issue you might have is getting your digital copy, but relax, even if the code isn’t in the set, like it wasn’t for me, you just go on the Warner Bros website and file a claim, they should respond pretty quick and they’ll give you a code they want you to write down and take a picture of the set with the code, then they’ll send the code and you proceed like normal. Don’t delay, buy today! ...couldn’t help it ;)

It's been awhile since I watched this, I skipped over the DVD release for reasons unknown, but got this as I so love the superior resolution Blu-ray has to offer, plus the box is very small and compact, not much space taken up. What an amazing series, visually stunning and coupled with groundbreaking storytelling, this was not a kid's show, it was for adults just as much, if not more so, it just aired weekday afternoons instead of prime time. Featuring the origin of Harley Quinn and a rebooted Mr. Freeze, this is the Dark Knight's greatest representation on any screen, any format ever, even surpassing the Nolan films. Absolute must own for animation fans, comic book fans, Batman fans, or fans of action and drama in general.

The Batman Animated Series is considered to be one of the greatest cartoons ever made. Not only has it revitalized the Batman brand, but it also introduced a slightly darker take on the Dark Knight's fight against Gotham's most well known and mysterious super-villains. As the title suggest, this show help jumpstart the beginning of the DCAU, which started with Batman and eventually worked its way from Superman to the Justice League. And for good reason. The Batman episodes have consistent quality from its first to final episode. Well, until The New Batman Adventures when they changed he art style. As a blu-ray itself, I suggest watching comparison videos on Youtube, as Warner Bros. stayed true to increasing the show and movies' visual quality for the modern format. Speaking of the movies, the blu-ray set also contains the Subzero and Mask of the Phantasm films. The latter of which is what I consider to be one of the greatest Batman movies of all time. It's even better than some of the Christopher Nolan films.

As someone who grew up watching this cartoon on television and loving it to the point where I view it as the definitive version of the character(s) presented herewithin. Whenever I read a comic book or watch a live-action adaptation...this is the version that I judged then new takes by! Whenever Batman speaks, I hear Kevin Conroy's voice. Whenever The Joker cackles, I hear Mark Hamill and I get chills up my spine!! Not only that but more than a few comic book characters owe their canonical backstories, Mr. Freeze in particular. A major character was created for this cartoon series, initially as a throwaway goon...but proved so immensely popular that she made the leap to the comics. Yes boys and girls, I'm talking about the one and only Harley Quinn!

I’m a little biased cuz I’m a big Batman fan. But, I’m also a fan of other animated shows. But this one here, to me, is the best one ever. Batman gets an awesome outing here. When I first watched these episodes when they first aired, it was like I was watching the comic books I’ve read. Great storytelling and this wasn’t your normal Saturday morning cartoon. Batman the Animated Series is the one that started it all and raised the bar for all other animated series that came after. Very highly recommend!! This box set is perfect and even better viewing with this updated picture quality!!

Disclosure: I grew up on the animated series as a child and I own the dvd collection as well. Audio Remastered: They did not just port the dvd's onto blu-ray, the audio quality compared to dvd is a substantial upgrade with the and visually it looks fantastic! Screen Format: Series retains the original 4:3 format to avoid cropping of the original content. If you are a fan of the show you will not be disappointed with the blu-ray edition. If you've never watched the show, buy it as the series stands the test of time as one of the best animated shows ever created.

I think everyone who was a kid (or even a young adult) watched BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, back in the 90's. To me, this is my favorite animated iteration of Batman. This was when Batman was a detective that relied on his mind to defeat villains and it wasn't ridiculous "prep time". Anyway, the PQ and AQ is great with selected episode commentaries. I would recommend it for fans !

I had this show on DVD and the blu-ray version looks so much better. Well worth the cost. Plus it includes 2 movies! On the downside, there was no digital copy included. I have seen other reviewers mention the same thing. I did eventually get my digital copy from WB support but it was an exercise in futility. I had to explain 3 times that I couldn't send them a picture of the code as I didn't get a code. I had to send multiple pictures of the case, discs, and case # because they were uber picky about it. They sent me the wrong code. They said I could redeem it places I couldn't. Not a good support experience.

I am a huge, life-long Batman fan and absolutely loved Batman TAS when it came out in the early 90s. I bought the series when it was released on DVD and so I did not plan on re-buying on Blu-ray. But I found it on sale and made an impulse buy. I'm glad I did. This series has never looked better! There is so much detail on the backgrounds, and the colors of the cel animation really pop.

I've wanted this collection for such a long time. It's always been so pricey. When I seen Best Buy had it for 69.99 for the collection in bluray I almost fell over. Of course it was sold out at my Best Buy. Online as well. They found a store 30 miles away with 2 copies. What a beautiful day for a ride. The picture quality and sound is so good. I'm loving it.

Haven't watch much of the extra features, but the shows themselves are remastered beautifully. Grew up watching this show, and I think I appreciate it even more now that I pick up on and can understand its darker tones more fully. High value for the amount of content this set packs in. Grey Ghost is probably my favorite episode.
