Good game, but still working out the kinks/updates

First, I'd like to start with I'm not a battlefield fanboy, and quite honestly I've had a LOT of disappointment with the past 2 games and the matchmaking process. The game is what you would normally expect from Battlefield, but the new (actually older) weapons are quite refreshing. The really are more than just a new paint job on the same old game. The matchmaking so far is better at weeding out the parties of diehards vs the noobs, but still fails on occasion. The graphics have had problems on console, and the day 1 updates have already started in hopes of finding a remedy. Overall, it's a good game with a solid concept, but only hours of game play will tell where the faults lie...

I went thru the Battlefield 4 fiasco and said, I'll never pre-order another game from EA or DICE. So, I waited for customer reviews first before pulling the trigger. I'm glad I bought this game. It works, right out the box. Lots of fun. I really like the single player campaign, but online is where it's at. Lots of fun, deep customization of your class, and everything feels more balanced. Love playing with a squad, and when you have a good team, domination is assured.

Way better than any CoD game. I still like Battlefield 4 better personally, but this game is still great! Amazing graphics and visuals.

This game is easily one of my favorite games released this year. It is a nice change of pace going to WW1, so there is a learning curve, With that said, I enjoyed the story, even though it was fairly short. I hope war stories continues within the franchise itself. The online is great, feels good fighting in a 64 player match. Updates should only make this game better. With that said I do wish it took a TITANFALL 2 approach with free DLC.

I am a HUGE fan on battlefield, especially battlefield 4. Which is one of my all time favorite games. That being said, this may take over that spot. I love the era specific weapons and design of the game. My favorite feature is you are playing as actual soldiers from the war. So amazing. If you haven't picked this game up yet, go out right now and buy it. You will not be disappointed. Trust me. I'm very trustworthy

    The Battlefield before 1942 Re-imagined

I admit I can be a little biased towards EA's Battlefield series as I've played and loved every single game under their umbrella. BUT! This installment is DICE's way of showing the fans that they listen to them and that they don't follow blindly to trends. Single player is majestic! It's very reminiscent of Call of Duty 3's story mode. Which is not a bad thing! The cutscenes are so realistic you could forget that you're playing a video game and instead watching a real action movie. The scenes are just that real! I can't say the story is particularly deep as I didn't feel too connected to the characters but I felt a sense of empathy. Multiplayer is where the meat of this game resides, though. It's is eerily reminiscent of EA's StarWars: Battlefront (2015) mechanics and handling though just vaguely. If you enjoyed the large scale warfare maps of Battlefield 4, then this has equally massive maps plus trenches! The new operations mode is a great new revisioned "rush" mode with an added bohemoth for defensive forces to divert their attention to. The usual formula for an online battlefield game is still here, alive and kicking! For good reason too; it just works! Their new model for battle packs however isn't as rewarding as it was in the last installment '4' and mostly contains skins for vehicle and weapon customization. Aside from this small rewards system aspect, it's still a great game taken back in time.

COD has been going in the wrong direction for a while and we need a game to get back grounded. Battlefield has always been a good franchise but this game not only is well times but is a fantastic game Reminds me a lot of bad company 2 with the load outs and game play The game is very educational on a historical level - facts about WWI. Campaign is really cool. If you are into fps you have to get this one.

Battlefield has always had an edge over Call of Duty when comparing realistic gameplay. The campaign mode is truly amazing. It'd be better if it were longer, but campaign modes are always short nowadays... Multiplayer is great too. It feels a lot different from Hardline, and that's a good thing. If Call of Duty had a world war thriller along side this at the same time, it would've been interesting!

I've always been a call of duty fan my whole life. But recently with the call of duty getting more and more like halo I decided to switch to battlefield. Ohhhhh my god I wish I would of done it sooner. Basically the same controls as call of duty. Graphics are a million times better. The maps are 3x as big and also everything on the maps are interactive. You'd be silly not to buy this game.

The campaign was very good and prepares you for multiplayer. Graphics are amazing. Great team and stand alone game play. There is a whole array of game modes to enjoy that are truly frustrating and fun. You won't be disappointed, or maybe you will get angry and rage quit. Who knows? Just make sure to record it and post to YouTube so we all can have a good laugh. Buy this game.

Very Interesting Campaign. I enjoy the different story lines, you can pick any story line to start with and always return to a past story line to replay very easily within the menu. Classic Battlefront style, lots of new weapons and vehicles. If you have never played a Battlefield game, you can easily pick up with this one. None of the past stories are reflected within BF1.

I absolutely loved this game. I think it handled the difficult task of presenting the great war in a fantastic manner. Although some of the technology at the time is embellished a bit for better playability, most weapons and armor are pretty spot on. The graphics engine is mind blowingly good. Just watching some of the battle scenes and the huge amount of highly detailed lush background landscape scenery is awe inspiring. It really felt like being right there. One of my favorite scenes is an aerial battle high in the clouds above London with the sun setting in the distance. I actually paused the game several times just to look and marvel at the graphics. The controls are spot-on and I really have no complaints at all about the game other than that the campaign, while absolutely fantastic, is rather short. It can be completed on normal difficulty within a few hours. Anyone buying this solely for the campaign should be aware of that. The true replay value is in the multiplayer. Huge maps and teams along with gameplay that actually encourages strategy instead of mere fast-twitch, running around, one shot speedfests is what makes this the best multiplayer among the recent releases. Multiplayer is actually fun regardless of skill level. Good graphics, good controls, good gameplay, good multiplayer = one very good game.

This game is a great edition to the BF family. The game is 10 times better than Hardline. The multiplayer gameplay is amazing, the maps are fun, the different styles of games are interesting. Adding in Pigeons is really cool, different than before and I am continually surprised with the new styles of play. I would definitely recommend if you are a Battlefield fan. The only negative I would state is that you cannot upgrade weapons which makes sense since the game is set in WWI timeperiod. Either way, buy this game if you are a fan

This is probaby the best Battlefield entry in years, with it having the classic BF type gameplay and stepping back to WW1 as the setting. There's some new game modes and additions, but the vehicles and weapons were well put together. The campaign gives a diverse look at the war and the gameplay is varied enough to make if more interesting than BF campaigns in the past.

Battlefield 1 is an amazing game. The multiplayer is fresh and addictive and the behemoth's are a blast, not only to be in but too attempt to destroy. DICE could work on weapon balancing, however no weapons stand out to me as OP. The game's single player campaign, while short, is completely worth your time. The game's opening segment is beautiful.

I love the game! I don't play a lot of shooters but this is the exception. The game play is smooth and the graphics are great. But the the thing that sets it apart is the work that went into it. The entire environment is interactive. You can roll into a village with a tank and level it, blow up buildings, shoot down planes, and interact with every part of your surroundings. There is a ton of WW1 weapons to choose from on your way to mayhem. My only complaint is that the campaign didn't have more to it.

The campaign has some absolutely incredible moments that will stick with you even though they are extremely short lived and basically act as a tutorial for the multiplayer. However, it's the multiplayer that really makes the game shine. Sometimes it feels a little too much like Battlefront and could maybe be mistaken as a battlefront mod, but it brings a lot of what makes battlefield great into the formula. In terms of classic boots on the ground, well balanced, team based combat, battlefield 1 can't be beat.
