I have bought this game for both PS4 and Xbox 1. ( friends on both systems). The graphics are awesome and so isn't the gameplay. It does take some practice since the weapons are old and the most have just iron sites. The story mode could be longer but the campaign is epic. Def a must buy if you like shooters

This has to be one of the most diverse games in the battlefield series which I enjoy all of them very much.
You will be part of a tank crew with different objectives in and outside of the tank. Then you'll be whisked off to other locales in the world such as Italy, the Sahara desert and several other locations depending on which part of the story you wish to play. You get to ride a horse, fly a bi-plane and battle the enemy on the ground.
I have not played the multiplayer option yet but I understand it to be excellent in all respects.
The single-player "campaign" is more like segments of the whole story that you can choose from. Your character will change frequently during the stories which gives the player different insights to WW1 and how it affected people from all walks of life.
Some complained that the campaign was short but it is certainly long enough if you don't try to complete the game in record time and take in the beauty of the locations and find the well-hidden collectibles.
One of the best games out there at this time.

Instead of bad future installments, this fun game went to an era not often explored in videogames. The WW1 setting is fantastic, fun multiplayer, balanced guns, gut wrenching campaign Kinda buggy but it will be fixed, far from broken. Only had one server issue since launch. Overall highly recommend.

If you are a COD fan, this game is not for you. Everyone else will not be disappointed with this game. Everyone and their moms are saying positive things about this game, and they are not lying. Gameplay is as fun as ever, and the graphics are top notch. Even the campaign is very well implemented.

Pros: Great multiplayer, different style for a single player campaign as it is multiple campaigns instead of a single super soldier. Includes interesting facts about WWI after each campaign.
Cons: Multiplayer can take a long time to get into matches. Full matches can last about an hour each.

Its the only game that has 64 players, massive maps, tons of destruction, vehicles, runs smooth and looks amazing doing all this. BF4 and BF1 are on a whole different level of gaming. New players need to understand that there's a lot to learn playing this game. Once you get it, endless fun.

I've played many battlefield and call of duty games and I really like that they went back to the historical genre. The campaign was very good. The multiplayer has two different aspects. There is a massive, multi level game and then there is a quick start short game. Good game overall!

This was my first Battlefield game as I have been primarily a Call of Duty player over the past. But since the current direction of Call of Duty has turned me away from the franchise I decided to try out Battlefield 1 and was not disappointed! The gameplay to me is much more smooth and more fun than any current Call of Duty game!

Having played older Battlefield games as well as some of the newer titles, I feel like Battlefield 1 successfully returns to what made the franchise great. Pretty short campaign but the storytelling was excellent and fun. Multiplayer successfully balances the weapons and vehicles of the time and is quite fun. I'm not sure it is worth $60 but if you play a lot of multiplayer than it'll probably pay off for you.

I can't believe Battlefield series is going back to WWI. Before playing this game I had doubts, because modern weapons feel much better than those made 100 years ago. However, DICE made the gameplay fun and enjoyable, both single player and multiplayer.

The campaign is made up of 6 different character story lines having a different preservative of the war which can be played in any order. The campaign is a little short though. Online is fun but is sometime chaotic leading you to die from any direction which can get annoying. Graphics are the same or better than Star Wars Battlefront. If you are a fan of previous Battlefield games or need a new FPS, I would suggest purchasing this game.

I am a longtime battlefield player, since the original 1942. One thing about battlefield games is the multiplayer is always great. Battlefield 1 is no exception. However, the campaigns have usually been a little lackluster. Not this time. EA hits a homerun with this campaign.

I have always loved the battlefield franchise. But this new theme and setting really raised the bar even higher. For the first time in the series, I truly loved the single player campaign. And we all know what to expect from multiplayer at this point. A great shooter.

This review is for the campaign only: It's a nice return to more "conventional" weapons without all the jumping around. Maybe more automatic rifles than there actually were. Levels are well designed. Only gripe is it the campaign seems too short. It also seems to be glitching so that even though I've completed the campaign, it's stuck at 7/8 completion and won't give me the epilogue.

Battlefield 1 is a complete reversal in the trend for futuristic first-person shooters.
The single-player campaign is more like a series of short stories and events rather than continuing the battles as one overall set of objectives.
You get to play as different soldiers as the campaign progresses where you get to know them as individuals. The battles range from trench warfare, tank battles, aerial dogfights, riding horseback in the desert and a few other fighting styles and weaponry unique to WW1.
The graphics on the XBOX ONE are excellent and comparable to the PS4 which I have played but I actually prefer the XBOX because it seems easier to see the battlefields which can be chaotic. You will see firsthand the definition of "the fog of war" in this game!
I cannot comment on the multiplayer since I have not yet tried it.
This game is an excellent addition to the Battlefield series.

I've always bought the newest call of duty but since I played this game I don't think I will be buying them anymore. I would recommend at least giving this game a try before you buy. Multiplayer starts off slow with the base weapons but get better as you play.
