    Battlefield V is a frustrating game. The menus are a pain to navigate and the game seems to go out of its way to obscure useful UI elements or make you go through unnecessary menu steps to access important information or change loadouts. The progression system is entirely bland and the map and mode design seems to have learned no lessons from any of the previous entries in the franchise. The shooting is competent and the movement is interesting, as are the additions of building and fortifications, but ultimately is not enough to make the game particularly enjoyable when the fundamentals of the maps and decisions regarding visual design and some guns remain at odds.

    It’s not a perfect battlefield and sadly like most games these days feels incomplete in some aspects and needs some patches. It’s still a fun game overall and I still love the series. Battlefield is still where I look when I want to play a FPS

    I am not sure why this was discounted ($40 at time of purchase) as they just send a box with a code for a digital copy, but nonetheless, it is a great price. I have been having a lot of fun with the game so far and it seems very stable relative to previous releases. Also, the developer seems to be providing a lot of free additional content--exciting!
