Loved this show on TV back in the late 70's. Thanks to others who mentioned about missing footage on certain episode. Just hope the replacement disc is still available after the time difference of original release date vs when I purchased this box set. Fingers crossed.

The 4:3 presentation as an excellent scan from the film, and is worth the price of admission on this set. The 16:9 presentation is okay, but there are still some pixel artifacts in the opening titles of the pilot. Great special features, and it is still the best it has ever looked to date.

Excellent show ahead of it's time. Excellent writing early on in the series, no wonder it was in the top ten in ratings when it premiered. Excellent extras in this box set, did not realize how many deleted scenes there were.

This classic tv show has never looked better on home video, the widescreen framing was done very well, be warned, there is a manufacturing error on one of the widescreen discs and a replacement program has been initiated by Universal Studios. The special features on this set are also great.

One of the best series, some moments were campy but the over all story line suggested more serious tones. Too bad the series was cut short. The box set offers hours of extras, including many deleted scenes.

This collection contains both the original series "Battlestar Galactica" as well as its follow up series "Galactica 1980". Each series is presented in both the original aspect ratio of 4:3 as well as in wide screen. There is a huge difference in picture quality between the two. The 4:3 picture quality is incredible but surprisingly the widescreen picture quality looks awful. Fortunately I really only wanted the series in its OAR (original aspect ratio, the way it was meant to be seen) not cropped and stretched into a wide screen format. The widescreen collection can be purchased separately but if you want to enjoy this show the way that is was meant to be seen, then you have to buy this set.

A must have if you’re a fan of the original. It even has the lost Starbuck, Cy episode.

I have always loved Battlestar Galactica and really love this release. The Bluray looks stunning compared to the dvd release. Great detail and the option of widescreen makes it even better. Highly Recommended!!

i loved the original series. I didn't think the new one would be as good, but it surprised me. it had good fleshed out characters and realistic story lines

Blue ray quality is great, best in full frame over the stretched out widescreen version which is included but realy not needed

The best thing about this release is that it included both the reframed versions of the episodes PLUS the episodes in their original aspect ratios!

I remember this series when I was a small child. The cylons were the coolest. This is the original series. I hated the remake of this series.

Bought this because I loved this series when it aired on broadcast TV! So many memories. I've been looking for a complete set and finally found it.

Great picture and sound! BSG has never looked so good. It doesn't always hold up as well as you remember, but it's still great. Totally worth it!

Battlestar Gallactica is a great blast from the past. Some of the effects are a little out dated, but it was still great watching the old series.

On Blu Ray ,21 episodes of the original series and 10 episodes of Battlestar 1980,all excellent high def video quality. I wish there were more.

I have been a diehard Battlestar Galactica Fan since the show first aired in 1978. This is a perfect addition to my Galactica Collection

The re-masters of the shows are great. You get both widescreen adaptations and the original full frame versions for the purist.
