My wife loves this little droid. The app works well with BB-8 and it goes across most surfaces pretty well. Carpet is tricky but turning BB-8 up to full speed works well. All in all its a great purchase.

I purchased this item the day it came out and I love it! The features are futuristic. The traction is not the best on tile, and based on how thick your carpet is, it may take a moment for it to get rolling. But once it does, it's a blast! It has been quite enjoyable not only for me but for my daughters and Beagles as well.

Fairly easy to set up, although the linking with an Android phone may take a bit of effort (warning to parents: be prepared to help your child with the set-up!) A fun toy for all, including the family pet.

This thing is a lil expensive but it's really cool

I saw I bought. An impulse buy. After charging and downloading the app, I fired it up and had a ball. Not good on rugs, but clean wood or tile it's a lot of fun. Couple hours later, with annoyed puppies. I put it on the table. It is an exersize in control and a lot of fun in a small package. Modern toys, who would expect it to be fun. Word of caution, app does not work on all iPad products. Works on later model iPods, iPad minis and iPad Air. iPad with Retina display is a hit or miss. Lucky if it works, possibly the Bluetooth is the problem.

If you can find this at a good price, It's definitely worth it. Easy to use (even more fun if you add the force band) and my 1 year old loves chasing it around.

BB-8 is the star. At first you'll need to get used to BB-8's controls but after he's very easy to drive around. He helps more than when in his X-Wing! He'll greatly give you information and readings while in "patrol mode". BB-Great has much more to offer and to find out you'll better buy BB-Great!

Saw videos online on how this BB-8 operated and instantly had to have one. He can listen to your voice, display hologram messages, patrol on his own and will become your best friend. Really liked him before seeing The Force Awakens and now I love BB-8. Worth every penny for true Star Wars fans.

Expensive at 150.00 it works ok on my hardwood floors. On my pebbled patio BB8's head keeps popping off. If you are frivolous with money, or a super Star Wars fan buy it. Otherwise you could buy three new video games for the same price.

Although this version is much smaller than the movie one, I was surprised with how accurate its moves and sounds were. Featuring several different modes allow you to control it via voice, via text command on your phone or you can let it explore your house and report back to you. Fun stuff.

With this being one of the hottest gadgets, I gave it as a gift and he liked it. Therefore, if you are giving this as a gift, it will likely be a hit

this is a cute toy. but it is a toy. the drop doesn't do enough to really be fun. bumps into walls and his head falls off. i spent most my time putting his head back on... too much work cute but I wouldn't buy another one

I bought this for my daughter to have as a companion/pet. It is really neat. The main ball it super sturdy, made of thick plastic. You would have to hit this really hard to try and break it. The head unit is a little more fragile. You can control it manually with your smart device or you can let it explore and map an area on its own. It even has a special mode so when you watch the latest Star Wars it can interactive with the movie. The droid has a little of a personality of its own that makes it seem alive. For those whos like programming, there are other apps out there to program the little guy to do what you want it to do. I got the one for my daughter when it was on sale for around $100. It was definitately worth it. Everyone who sees it thinks its really neat and cute. Only thing I can say that is close to negative, is that the head unit's rollers get dirty from lint and dust really quick. You have to clean it quit often or the head does not move properly on the ball unit. Great little device/droid for any Star Wars fan or just anyone looking for a cute little pet/companion.

Sphero has done a great job of bringing the Star Wars droids to life. This BB-8 is fun, and it's amazing how responsive he is. So long as you have a phone on which you can download the related app, there's no stopping you and your BB-8 from having adventures!

Too expensive for what it does. Had a couple reward coupons from BB that I used on this purchase. Made the expense a little more tolerable. Works fine for what it does. Bluetooth does disconnect on occasion which is a pain.

I would say this is a pricy toy for what it does. It's basically the sphero sphere cleverly made into BB8. That part is impressive. iPhone control sensitivity is alright. My son can control it. It makes all these cute sounds that BB8 does. The one thing I didn't like is the antenna broke off. And I think that's a design flaw. When moving, BB8's head leans forward. If it collides with a wall, the antenna will break off. It a toy you can grow out of pretty fast hence the problem I have with the price.
