This shaver does a good job. My only issue is that I wish it had more granular lengths. From .5mm to 5mm it goes up by .5 then it jumps up by a full 1mm each time after that. The laser is very nice for getting a perfectly straight line. I thought it was overkill when I purchased it but I find that it helps a lot. It is also waterproof and cleaning it is as easy as rinsing it off under the water for a few seconds. Can't really complain about this shaver.

The backstory: I am one of those guys that cannot use a real/straight razor or other variations of them due to the annoyingly persistent hypersensitivity of my skin. So, I use trimmers to keep me from looking like a wooly mammoth. I tend to like Norelco trimmers. My old one died and I bought this one as its replacement. The review: The trimmer cuts close enough to make people think you actually shaved but not close enough to make your skin smooth. Basically, like most trimmer usage, you will always have some stubble if your facial hair is coarse. Good news is I get zero irritation from this thing, it was relatively cheap, and it is really easy to clean. Bad news is that it has few attachments, no stand or station for keeping upright or handy in the bathroom, and the laser will friggin blind you if not careful. Moreover, I don't really use the laser that often or understand its utility. It just seems weird and gets in your eyes eventually; it's not a very practical feature IMO. However, all in all I think it's a decent product. I mean, I kept it after holding onto the box and receipt for return if it wasn't up to my standards and personal needs. My suggestion: Try it out and see if it works for you. If not, simply return it. In my experience razors/shavers/trimmer satisfaction is very different for everyone, even if it's the same exact product being used by all. There's a lot of factors to consider so be smart, shop smart, and buy smart for you.

In the market for a new trimmer? This is the one for you. Easy to use, holds a charge longer than needed to shave, and can also be used plugged in. No oil is required since the blades are "self sharpening". Overall really happy with it

Great battery life, need several passes. Laser is ok, I don't really use it. Wish it cuts clean, but I'll use this trimmer before shaving with a blade. Still a great product.

So after buying several other clippers both by Norelco and other brands, I finally decided to give it one last shot with this one. Let me tell you, this trimmer is excellent. Well built, works excellently, the laser guide is great. Spend the extra money and get this one, it's worth it.

Easy to use for trimming beard. I found the laser feature to be not terribly useful, and it was not great for trimming my mustache. Excellent battery life.

The trimmer has a guide line that after the first couple uses became clear that it was unnecessary. The trimmer is so easy to use that a guide is unneeded. I advise putting on the plastic guard when using it on a beard though. It is very easy to slant the trimmer and still cut to much; even when using a higher notch.

I have used many trimmers in my day. This one is one of the best I have ever used. I have a very thick beard and it trims it even and never pulls or tugs my hair. I would recommend this product to anyone.

This is one of the best trimmer i've ever used. the batter last for hours, and the digital screen for trimming lengths is very helpful.

It works great and last several shaves before needing a charge. I keep a scuffy look so I use it for my entire face.

This works great for todays exact cuts for beard, using the light for straight lines. The adjustments in length are the best I have ever seen, in small increments. Is lightweight, easily makes your look better than ever.

My first beard trimmer and so far so good. Comfortable handle and easy to use. close shave. I recommend it

After suffering through various trimmers that yank the hairs out instead of precision cutting them, this trimmer is a quality device and works very well by itself or with the two grooming attachments. These attachments let you easily trim a beard or mustache to any desired length. Also works well on eyebrows. The only negative is that there is no carrying case or bag to protect it when stored or when traveling. For this price, I think at least a padded pouch would be included. This last point is the only reason why I gave this 4 rather than 5 stars.

I use the Philips bread trimmer all the time to do my own shape up awesome product :)

One of the best trimmers I've had. I used to use Wahl but battery dies after 6 months and I have to buy a new one. This Phillips has been going strong for almost a year now. Good clean cut and haven't even had to oil the blades.
