Let me just say that, at the MSRP, I'd be pretty unhappy; however, given the significant savings I received, I was satisfied. The sound is good, but could use more bass - or some way to adjust it up or down independent of the media player. The ear seal was very good and comfortable, definitely better than the Solo 2 on-ear type. The noise cancelling, though not nearly as good as the Bose QC35's, makes a significant difference. These are comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. The side button to quiet the headphones to hear someone speaking was also very helpful. The only other improvement would be wireless - which is a very sturdy jump in price that I was not prepared to make at this time.

I had previously purchased the Solo Beats. They are great, however, the studio version greatly surpasses them. The sound is awesome and the over-the-ear design is great. I can't hear any background noise with them on and my parents can't hear my music playing when I'm in the car with them. Excellent Christmas gift!

Lightweight rechargeable great sound what's not to like about it? Just recently flew long haul and I found these headphones invaluable as they cut about 85% of the engine noise due to the noise cancelling system allowing me to get some sleep! (the noise cancelling works even when you are not listening to music!) a good purchase for those long haul flights/ journey and they look great!

Best Buy has an excellent price match. I was able to shop online and match at the store for the same day pick up. The studio headsets offer noise cancelling technology which works well on the airplanes that we travelled on. The only problem that I encountered was the cord falling out on slight tugs.

I bought these for a cross country flight. The headphones battery lasted for the 6 hour trip. It is not noise canceling so I was able to hear airplane noise during the flight. However, noise canceling headphones give me a headache so I choose these instead. Once the plane reached cruising altitude the noise disappeared.

I didn't know if I wanted to drop this kind of money on headphones. However, I'm in medical school and constantly listen to music and or lectures so I wavee goodbye to my cash. I couldn't be more happy. When you first put them on and crank up some tunes you'll hear new aspects to songs that where previously not there . Music with big bass definitely sounds the best on these. My only concern is the plastic feels breakable. That's a lot of money down the drain if they break. Oh almost forgot. .. sound does leak at volumes 50% and over. ... don't be that guy that makes everyone around them listen because that's not cool. All in all now that Gen 1 are on sale, give them a try abs you'll be more than pleased.

I think if you value a headset that is high quality and great sound this is the right fit. I like the fact it has a self charging battery. It has a nice case and the cords are really of good quality.

Not only are These awesome for listening to music, but they are the bomb for my hearing impaired mother. We plug them into her iPhone and she is able to carry a conversation, and hear every word we say! Love our Beats headphones!

I haven't used the headphones myself, but my 15 yo son loves them. The carrying case is nice for protecting them on the go. I only gave 4 stars because I think they are a bit too pricey. I think there are other comparable headphones on the market with lower prices, but teenagers love the Beats brand.
