Beats has finally upped their game here

I started out with the studio beats and was very pleased with them. My only complaint was that I also listen to a great deal of hard rock and metal, which the studios do not shine at all. The studios excel at very accurate, heavy, astonishing bass; so if rap and hip hop is the main genre you listen to the the studios are absolutely for you, you will LOVE them. I exchanged the studios for the executives and have to say I was incredibly impressed. Build quality is top shelf premier, comfort is ABOVE the studios believe it or not. Also, the sound quality is MUCH different than the studios even though they are shaped almost the exact same. These are much more fine tuned than the studios, they have much more balanced mids, clear sharp highs and treble, and still have a very punchy accurate bass (slightly toned down from the studios). I would say that quality of the actual sound reproduction is much higher in comparison with the studios, I would relate the executives to the older, more mature and refined brother where the studio is the younger brother interested in showing off and blowing your brain to bits with bass. Something else I also want to add, the studios have HORRIFIC sound leak. There is absolutely no privacy when listening to your music. With the executives that problem is almost completely solved. The sound leak with these cans is completely absent except for very deep loud songs and only at 100% volume. Unlike the studios, these also have an auto-turn off feature! Much appreciated! We all know how annoying it is to constantly switch batteries after forgetting to switch off the noise cancelling. All in all, these headphones receive a 4.5 star rating from me, they're an excellent purchase, absolutely worth the money, and more comfortable than almost any other cans out there. Plus, these look sweet as heck, super slick aluminum construction....what a beautiful pair of headphones!

A great pair of headphones But there's one setback

So I've had the Executives for about a week now. And I've gotta say, I am very impressed at what Beats could do this time around. They sound great, with no over powering bass, and you can actually hear the rest of the music (highs, treble, mids, etc.). They look amazing, and are the absolute most durable headphones that they have made yet. They're about 98% aluminum, and not the heaviest headphones, either. And along with the durability comes comfort. These are really comfortable, and the over ear design isolates a lot of noise. So why did I give these headphones three stars? For one simple reason. The noise cancellation is absolutely horrible. There is a really, REALLY annoying hissing noise when you turn them on, and it will carry into the music as well. In fact, the only way I could seem to get rid of that noise was to turn them up on full volume. This was very disappointing to me, and it even made me return the headphones. These are a great pair of headphones overall, but I don't recommend them because of that one thing. But if things like that don't bother you, than go ahead and pick them up.

These have some serious improvements from the studios. The power switch is better. The entire headset is of a much sturdier build, and overall more comfortable. Also these seem to be more sound insulated then the studios. Some of the downsides are that they still use batteries. These even seem to go through batteries faster than the studios. The weight can be a bit uncomfortable after long periods of use but in general the cushions are more than enough.

These headphones are very well made. They are very durable and easy to use. The sound is the best I've ever heard from any headphones. The price is high, but if you are willing to spend that much you will not be disappointed.

The battery life is shorter compared to the studios but that makes sense due to the noise cancelling feature now. I use them everyday at work and I have absolutely no complaints. the sound is excellent, good base, good highs, the mids are a okay but overall they sound pretty darn good. There is no wear fatigue they are extremely comfortable to wear even for extended periods of time. over all a fantastic set of headphones.

The Beats by Dr. Dre - Executive Over-the-Ear Headphones are awesome! The sound quality is incredible. Sounds are rich and clear and the base is smooth and not choppy or muffled. The trebles flow nicely and the overall experience is much better than most consumer grade headphones in the category.

Over a thirty minute period I tried over 12 earphones priced $300 and lower at the local Best Buy store. The Beats Executive has a very comfortable over-ear fit which helped to reduce surrounding noise. The quality of its sound reproduction was supeior to all other units that I tried. It is a large unit but folds very nicely into its carrying case. Therefore, it is easily carried on trips. I consider it to be an excellent value. Try it!

The sound quality is great, especially for lower tones. I listen to alot of hip-hop, and these headphones are awesome. They are very comfortable and have, I would say, good noise cancellation. The only negative thing i can say is that they require batteries and it is easy to forget to turn them off. They seem a little heavy as well, but that was not\is not an issue for me. They are expensive but they are worth it if you use your headphones often, and like good quality sound.

I have a co-worker that had been using the executive set of Beats for about 6 months. I tried his on and the sound was excellent. The fit seemed fine. After wearing them for about an hour, the tightness and weight are a bit much. Overall, great sound and for the most part still worth the purchase.

A very good buy for anyone who is looking for good sound and great comfort. They are very durable but the only thing that sucks is that they do require 2 AAA batteries.

I decided to splurge for high quality headphones I could use either with my phone to place calls, or plugged into my Mac mini playing iTune, or using them for live online workshops. I live near the freeway and appreciate how well they drown out the ambient noise. They fit my ears nicely and I appreciate the sleek folding design to be used with the stylish carrying case.

Good set of headphones. Very comfortable fit and the sound is great. The only downfall is the slight hiss. When the volume is up, you can barely hear it. Also don't forget to turn noise cancellation off when your done or you will drain the batteries!

This is my second pair of Beats! If you travel definitely get the noise cancelation feature. Extremely comfortable, love the fact the cord never gets tangled. Sound is incredible on both my Beats. The noise CNX feature was the only reason I purchased a second set as my new job requires more travel.

I love the comfort and fit of these headphones. I have owned many other brands (Sony, LG) and the common complaint was too tight a fit around the ear. Felt like a clamp around the ears. Not the Beats headphones. Fits so nicely without any pressure felt on the skull. My only knock is the noise cancelation feature. It goes in and out. The lightest tap against the condenser sends it all awry too. Not sure if my issue is due to a product defect. When noise cancelation is of there are zero issues so I am chalking up to shoddy design. But otherwise, a gem of a product.

These are by far my favorite pair of Beats headphones. I hesitate to give them a 5 star rating because they aren't perfect, but they are an excellent pair. The build quality and materials are better than other models I have owned. The sound quality and volume is good. It has a nice storage case that is less bulky than some other Beats cases. The fit is snug and comfortable. I don't care for the feature that makes a noise when you take them off your ears and leave the power switch on, but I suppose it reminds you to switch them off. The connector cable would be better if the end wasn't angled, as it doesn't completely fit into the port on my phone while it is in a case. I would recommend them overall, though.

I love all of the beats products I have. These headphones are very comfortable, and the sound quality could be really really good if used with an ipod or anythingbut your phone. The day i bought them i set them up put them on and the right ear did not work at all. So i took them back got a new pair same ones and the right ear was making a scratching noise. I had to take them back again the pair i have now they are awsome so far i just hope the right ear doesnt go bad. I was told if usedwithyour phone it could make the scratching noise, if used with an ipod or something like that they are fine. IDK i use my galaxy for everything.

These headphones sound great for anything from movies to music. The highs are crisp and the bass is just the right amount. The aluminum components make these headphones sturdier than the plastic headphones. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

These definitely are a lot better than the Studios. I have used both pairs and while Studios do deliver extra bass at times with mushy sound; the executives out perform them with excellent clarity and good bass and lows. I have used SMS by 50 sent, Soul, Bose QC too and am extremely pleased with the executives.

I brought these beats for my partner on his travels to Australia.16hour flight from LAX to Brisbane for a holiday with me. The beats worked well for him on the way over and back. Noise cancelling was excellent, great quality, fits well over the ears and comfortably to. Overall from what my partner said! It was worth the asking price, so to me that was money well spent for the beats themselves. Would have liked the case to be bigger, so he's able to store all the cords that come with it in the same place as the beats. Would love for these to also come in different colours for me to purchase ;)

Got these as a gift. Not sure i would have splurged as huge on my own. Great sound quality and definition so far. The case is nice and they are very easily portable. I wasn't a fan of the noise canceling feature at first just because I wasn't used to hearing the white noise. The fit is a little snug over my glasses but not a deal-breaker. The inline mic is fine but I wish there was a shirt clip it has an tendency to move around and pick-up said movement. I don't think most people are buying these for the mic. The mute button kills the headphones not the mic.
