Beats by Dr. Dre - The sound quality is mediocre at best. I knew this when I purchased it but still it feel short of my expectations. Its review is better than the last generation so I though it would be just good enough. And for the price, why not? Anybody who enjoys at least some nuance when listening to music this is probably not the right product for you. If someone wants a strong beat (which I didn't) you won't find it here. I think it was designed that way for a more blended sound. On my morning walks I listen to talk radio and here it does its job. I tried listening to TV with them but the dialogue sounded flat as did the background music. Tinny. So much so, that I was annoyed. As for the wires that many don't like and feel it's a step back, for me, it's one of the features that I like. I find it convenient, giving options without having to put them in my pocket. I have Apple Airpads Pro and where the sound quality is terrific I have issues with keeping the pods in my ear. I am always checking them so they don't fall out. But with Beats, if they do fall out they're not going far and there's the magnets to secure them together. I'll keep them around as a spare.

This is the second set of these headphones and they have both failed to hold a charge or even wake up consistently after only a month of use. I am trying to get service help now on the most recent set, well within the warranty period, but two out of two worries me. I also dislike the way they interact with my iPhone, with a special mini-popup that is often slow to appear, reflecting their generally lengthy wake-up and connect period. It is like they are `special' in that entitled sense of the person from well-off parents who has not really earned their superior self-ranking. When they work, they are similar to many others in this sadly limited field of bluetooth but wired together earbuds.
