    Well-Rounded Sounding, Comfortable Headphones

In the past few months I've bought 4 separate kinds of headphones: Skull Candy Titans (in-ear), Skull Candy Aviators (over-ear), Beats Solo HD (over ear) and Beats Mixrs. I gave the Titans to my fiance when I got the aviators. I felt like, for the price (150) the Aviators did not offer enough as far as sound went (though they were very stylish and comfortable). So, I returned them for the Beats Solo HD. However, these felt cheaply made and had way too much bass (it overpowered the other sounds, making for muddy listening, not for me). So, I finally saw the Mixrs. I figured that, for the extra fifty bucks, these would probably be worth it. So I exchanged the Solos and picked up the Mixrs. This was a great decision. The versatility in sound and design, as well as the great durability makes these well worth the extra money. granted, they are still pricey, but they are more worth it than the others. I know that a lot of people say that Sennheiser, Sony and Audio Technica have better sound for less money. But, I've tried all of these and I've owned Sonys, the cheap build isn't worth it and the sound is not noticeably better than the Mixrs. I do a lot of recording, mostly progressive rock/ jazz/ metal/ etc. so I need good sound reproduction. These cans really get the music. Take a listen to some Stephen Wilson with these things and tell me that they aren't incredible. Very well-rounded sound. Not too much bass, and the treble come though clearly, and the mids are more than present. So, while the bass is powerful, it doesn't overpower the other frequencies (like the Solos, Wireless and Studios do). I know a lot of people complain about the comfort. Honestly... adjust the things. If you can find a comfortable fit, maybe your head is just wider than normal. But, my head is average sized, and I wear these things for hours on end while at work or recording. Lastly--little to no sound leak with these things. Furthermore, so long as the music is playing, you can't hear much ambient noise (unless you want to and you flip the earcup back).

My review today I would not tell a person to run out and buy these headphones strikingly not amazed overly hype I'm glad that I had a aggressive salesperson that made me by the warranty because I feel like the headphones are very flimsy it will break at any time not as loud as I thought If you looking for the look of the !!!!BEATS!!!!!on your head for fashion these are the headphones ........for you If you looking for quality in longevity look elsewhere if I could help you out in your search .......Mikeyman81

It's a great product, but it has virtually one use, so for the price I feel like it could be more versatile for other uses like running, or outdoor activities. Shoot even make it waterproof for that price.

MUCH better than the rest of the beats lineup

PROS: tight bass foreward mids (like the artist is singing right in front of you) sturdier build no cheap plastic look swivel earcup portability much better sound quality than the solos and studios almost as good as pros passive noise cancelation (no batteries and allows for better bass) control talk ability to plug headphone cable into either ear cup carrying case CONS: still costs more than they should heavier than the similar sized solos a little tight on the head sometimes have an issue getting the headphone jack all the way into my phone I had been avoiding buying beats because i had had a hard time bringing myself to pay $200+ for headphones that sound and feel like they should cost half the price. When i saw these in Best Buy I quickly changed my mind. These look and sound like something closer to the price point. And unlike the other beats, they sounded good no matter what genera i played on them (hip hop, dub step, pop, soul, reggae, classic rock, even classical). I especially like the tight bass as opposed to the muddy sound from the other beats models. I didn't think I'd love these when i bought them, but the more i listen the more i want to keep listening. Good job monster.

    Pro-like Headphones

I've read other reviews, & some of them to me seem well on part... Except their comfort complaints. It's tight, & form fitting around your head for a reason... So you don't drop them! they're brand new, & adjusting to your personal head-shape after every use. It's no different than breaking in a pair of shoes. As for the sound quality, it couldn't be better. Yes, it is bass heavy, but that is my favorite part about the headphones... Other than the matte white design & finish. It really took my breathe away. I previously owned the Beats Solo HD's, & they're the cheapest on-ear-headphones, in the Beats lineup. & the sound was amazing on there too. I think the Mixr's are better though. Less leakage, & a better design. All in all, with its new, custom design, that sets them apart from other Beats, the matte white finish, custom 270 degree headphone turning radius, the incredible sound quality, & the great accessories that comes with it, such as the hard case & thick, durable audio cables, these would keep any recreational listener, to Dj pro, happy. But... Not to say any Beats product is going to come cheap. These will set you back about 300 bucks, after a well needed 2 year protection plan & tax. I'd love to see the price drop in all Beats products, someday soon. I would give these Headphones, 9.5 out of 10.
