I already wrote a review of the album on the regular version, so this is going to be a review of the extras. What catches your eyes first when buying this album is the amazingly beautiful new artwork and packaging. The band really went all out on this one with a hologram cover based on their characters from the "From Yesterday" short-film/music video. Moving the case from side-to-side alternates between the Phoenix and Trinity logos. When you open up the case you'll find a fold-out that shows the names of the Mars Army. On one side is the CD (with bonus tracks!) and a DVD on the other with a new booklet in the middle that features new pictures and artwork. The whole case fold out into a cross. The album itself features the two bonus tracks from the original copies, "Battle of One" and their cover of Bjork's "Hunter", and a new version of "The Kill" dubbed "The Kill (Rebirth)". The song has a new intro previously only heard in the video and takes out the heavier parts where Jared screams. It's a more mellow version of the song, but still really good. Now the DVD, the real bonus, features the video and the making-of featurette for "The Kill". Also features some interviews, live videos from MTV2's "All That Rocks" show with Bam as the host, video from the VMA's, and some promo spots from MTV2. Altogether, the packaging, CD, and DVD were well worth the $23 I shelled out for the Deluxe Edition. If you're a 30 Seconds To Mars fan or want to get acquainted with them better, then this is the album to get. While you're at it, pick up their self-titled debut available in stores everywhere. It's X-mas time so they should be on sale. They'd make a great gift for anyone who likes/loves music!

this is a great album, for anyone who bought their first i recommend getting this second album, i have seen them live like five times, theyre live performance is awsome and you can feel the energy that they put into the band.
