This is another great album by Abel. It is a lot different than his previews albums, especially Trilogy, because it is "mainstream". A lot of people seem to not like this album as much but I personally think it is great. It has different genres of music but they all seem to blend very well throughout the album. His music is still quite sad and dark but overall great music. Get this album you won't regret it.

Abel goes Pop

Been listening to The Weeknd since the early days, and this is his first big commercial success. Singles like Can't Feel My Face & The Hills have made Abel Tesfaye one of the hottest names in popular music today. While this album is definitely more for pop radio than his previous work, The Weeknd still has his insane voice and maintains his dark lyrics and definitely shows he has the ability to crossover into the pop realm, while still holding onto what has gotten him to where he is today.

I bought this CD for the song "In the Night" because the radio didn't play it enough for me and I also really liked another of his songs. I haven't bought a CD in about 10 years so I thought about it for awhile before I did but it ended up being better than I thought. Most of the songs on here are amazing and I am very happy with it. Great price for an excellent CD.

Before purchasing this album, I had only heard the two main singles "Can't Feel My Face" and "The Hills". What I expected from the rest of the album was songs that would be potential singles and a lot of filler. Instead, the album is vibrant and lush with creative lyrics, incredibly intricate instrumentations and all of the elements that make a pop album fantastic.

I usually don't buy albums espcially the first day they come out. But all the singling The Weeknd was putting out up untill the album released was amazing. So glad i have this to add to my collection. Now i hope they put out a vinyl version.

Some of the songs are obviously a little over played because of constant radio exposure prior to release of album, but they are GREAT songs, album is pretty solid top to bottom. I thought Kiss Land was better, but hey atleast the weeknd stays consistent with another great piece of work.

I really like this album. It may be a slight deviation from his early work (House of Balloons is still my favorite EP from Mr. Tesfaye) but he sticks to his roots of dark-sounding contemporary R&B. The "mainstream" singles are there but doesn't overshadow the other gloomy tracks featured on this EP. Worth a listen if you've been a fan of his from the beginning.

Not a huge fan of the modern "R&B" sound. The Dream himself doesn't stand out vocally from almost any "singers" now a days. The beats are not surprising either but with that said something in his songs are ear catching. At first listen I might not hear something because you hear it on the radio all the time but I then catch myself humming a hook or a few words. Then the rest grows and it turns out to be a solid album

The Weeknd hit the right note with this album. This is his second major release and this one tops the last. He even added his summer hit Earned It on to the album. Smart move. Most songs are instant hits such as The Hills
Be careful though. There is an explicit lyrics sticker on the front for a reason. Not for kids (unless you opt to buy the radio version). Very good album overall.

I, would like to thank Drake for introducing the WKEND.He,is a very insightful artist that can only get better. The voice&rhythm is off the charts.I, also would like to thank our North American brothers for their contribution to the music world. I'm sure that Oscar Peterson would love the music if he was still with us!!!

Wanted this CD ever since " Earned It" came out on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. The whole CD is good, I just hate it when you buy a CD and only two or three tracks are worth what you paid for it. And the one thing about this one is, his music is so versatile, there's something for everyone. Money well spent

I was in a major hurry when I came into the store to purchase this album disc and did not realize until some of the songs started that I had gotten the explicit version...it is a great album, but the explicit part was a bit of a shocker. Parents if you are about to get this cd for your children, pay close attention to which version you pick up.

No holds barred music from the soul, the only thing is he uses profanity a lot so definitely not for kids, if you do buy for younger crowd make sure you get the clean version. For adults though I would say this is a must buy, great voice, lovely production and definitely make love music!

I love this cd, I heard the weeknd first on the fifty shades of grey movie soundtrack, and there were two really good songs on there by him. Then I heard another two songs on the radio, finally broke done and bought the cd today. It is so good, I could listen to it over and over again.

I really believe this second album is what really made his career pop. I along with many others never knew about him prior to this album. There are many great songs on here and feels like a very diverse album that shows how good of an artist he is! I definitely recommend!

I listen to all music genres and this year, its been pretty depressing in regards to music. (Besides the JCole and K Lamar albums) Overall, this album is amazing!! Great production value and the lyrics are on point. (A bit explicit, so parents are warned)

Every song gets better and better as the album progresses. Some of the best songs on the album haven't even hit mainstream radio. I can listen over and over and still enjoy all of the songs!
