    It is so obvious the one star review ordered the VP1800S instead of the B1800XPRO POWERED SUB! I purchased this for a throwaway. NOT! Better characteristics than the Mackie! Come On!

    I bought this sub for my band's practice space to bring out the bottom end on our kick drum and bass drops. For the money, it's done it's job. Our practices sound great now!

    It's hard to believe there is only one other person complaining about this. This subwoofer, both it's specs and picture, is NOT a powered subwoofer. You need to use it with an amplifier. I told BB online department about this a month ago, and they still have not changed the description or picture. I know because I own the powered version of this, the EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO. It costs almost twice as much and has it's own amplification. BEWARE!

    This speaker is described as a "powered speaker" and is NOT powered. You have to spend about 300 more dollars for an amp. I purchased it trusting the description and when I received it, it was not powered. I bought it online and got it shipped to a store. When I took it back they pointed fingers to the online dept. The online dept. pointed fingers at the store. Just a MESS!!!!
