Belkin is nearly synonymous with Apple. Their accessories are always of the highest quality and will last for a very long time. This is why when I needed a Thunderbolt 3 cable to power a new audio interface, I didn't hesitate to go Belkin. Yes, it's a bit pricey for a very short length, but you get what you pay for. Belkin is a name I trust not to destroy expensive equipment like many of the cheaper Thunderbolt 3 cables out there are known to do. To me, that's worth the extra expense upfront.

This cable is works well, and is of high quality. I believe from a few uses that it will hold up well over time.

Great cable, not just USB-C but full Thunderbolt 40 Gbps, can drive a 5K monitor without issues. It may be short for some uses (only 1.6 feet) but it is perfect for my setup.

it was simply not long enough for my set up. you might think well thats because you probably have a weird set up, but i don't. its a tower under the desk and the hard drive that i wanted to use directly above, but since the TB3 card was closer to the bottom of my case, it was stressing the cable to plug in. so keep that in mind when purchasing for your hard drive. otherwise i would image if it was 1.8" feet it would work awesome.

Great thunderbolt 3 usb c cable but shorter than I expected. Also the power out put in the description is incorrect and will not provide full power to MacBook pro 15.

I hesitated to purchase this because I've been burned twice in the past. I have a high speed USB port on my laptop and I plug in a high speed external drive into it. However, I needed a longer cord, but none of the others I'd tried would/could transmit at the USB 3.0 speeds.. until I found this cord, which works great. I tested it by transferring a large video file from my desktop to the external drive. I reached speeds over 200 mb/s and the 900mb file transferred in less than ten seconds.

Bought this cable for the Thunderbolt 3 connector on my new laptop, works great and seems like it will last.

Lets be honest, no one ever wants to buy a new cable when they already have a ton of them laying around the house. I will say that this cable is built well and it's not going to fall apart on you anytime soon. Additionally, it's short, compact and can easily be stored in my book bag. It's great for those who use a hard drive to store videos or photos on as they work on them, Excellent for photographers and videographers.

I've had this for about two months and have had no problems with it. It works well with my 21.5" iMac and the USB Type-C hard drive enclosure.

Belkin has been known and trusted for their accessories for some time, and this cable doesn't disappoint!! Sturdy constructed type-c connectors, thick cable, small and transportable(perfect for a throwing in your bag or backpack), and it's thunderbolt compatible for data and power transfers. Perfect EDC cable!!!

good connections, nice sturdy rubber cable, but it is a touch soft rubber so as long as its not being adjusted excessively it should be fine. Mine just sits behind my monitor and connects to my MacBook. I do wish it was a bit cheaper, and that the cable was three feet, or a meter. 1.6' is just limiting. I was in the market for a cable and I know Belkin is often a good brand to go with.

I needed a TB3 cable to connect my Thinkpad 25th Anniversary Edition laptop to a Lenovo TB3 dock. The cable transmits power to charge the laptop as well as USB/HDMI/DP/Ethernet ports at the same time and works great!

If you need to transfer data ridiculously quickly between two Thunderbolt USB-C capable devices, this is what you're looking for. This is PROBABLY NOT the cable you want for a 5k, or other monitor, though, as it's short to reduce latency/keep speed up for data transfer. This 1.6ft cable can support up to 40Gbps, which you can't get with longer cables unless they're "active" cables (more expensive). This cable is backwards compatible with other Thunderbolt protocols, but WILL require an adapter, due to the connection being a USB-C connector. NOTE: if your device is not Thunderbolt (just USB-C, there is no guarantee that this cable will work for you, as the Thunderbolt protocol uses a unique chip). You can use this for a number of applications: - Apple Target disk mode (transfer from one laptop to another) - Non Target disk mode (but connected through USB-C connection between two laptops) - External video card connection - Charging (but don't buy this cable for JUST charging) - Other uses

If you are looking to unleash the real power of the thunderbolt 3 cable, ONLY Apple & Belkin cables will give you that. (power, data & full 4k@60hz) Bought this one because was $10 dollars cheaper than apple brand and both have the same specs.
