The camera's card required a dedicated reader but I didn't want to pay the rental price for that, and the cable option was considerably cheaper. When I went to the store to pick up the cable, I saw that there were other brands which cost almost half as much as the Belkin, so I bought both with the idea that I'd bring the Belkin back if the lower-priced cable worked. It did, so I will return it.

Power cord for the newer iPad

So I wanted this as an extra connection for the bedroom. It charges really fast compared to just normal cable.

Heavy duty cable

The phone we bought at a discount store shot craps after about 3 months of use. Hard to find as everything is selling out during back to school. It is pretty heavy duty. Very stiff and the cable is pretty thick, too.

However, be aware it will not work as a thunderbolt cable despite the fact that it fits in a c port on a macbook pro.

This cable was perfect to do just that. It looked like this was my best option without buying a splitter. Plugged it in, restored the backup to the new ipad and it's working perfectly.
