I, like many others, I'm sure, have always thought, "Why would I spend so much on a USB cable when I can get one for 1/10th the cost on Amazon, the 99-cent store, etc....those work perfectly fine." Well, let me tell you one place that they don't work perfectly fine: connecting my phone to my car stereo to use Android Auto (or whatever they are calling it now). Check out the data transfer speed on this cable versus those cheap, no-names that you have been buying, this Belkin will blow them out of the water. Another one: have you ever tried uploading a video from your phone and it took FOR...EV...VER (double "V" was intentional: watch "The Sandlot"...you'll understand), even while using a USB 3.0 jack? Chances are you were using a "not-so-fantastic" cable with a low data transfer rate. If you're impatient like me, you probably didn't read this whole review...but, you're going to want at least one of these cables, if not two or more (1 for the car, 1 for your personal computer, 1 for work, etc.).

I only bought this because the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 required a USB-C type of connection. To have a separate connection aside from the little adapter that came with the phone was better. I still have it & i'm sure it will come in handy.

When I bought my new MAC, this cable easily allowed me to transfer my data on my older MAC (which did not have iCloud capabilities) to my new MAC.

Bought it to transfer my ipad data from my computer to my new ipad. Worked as advertised. Am also using it to charge the ipad with older USB charger.

Bought it to replace a lost samsung cord. Works great and seems to be better, more durable construction than other cords.

this is a great cable to help connect my phone to my computer if needed, not a quick charge, but that is ok

The cable is quite thick and therefore it is kind of stiff and awkward to use in a vehicle would be best suited for using on a stationary computer

I needed a cable that supported USB 3.1 type a on my computer and USB type C for my phone to do weekly back ups at the highest rate of speed. This cable was a bit pricey but worked great for what i was trying to accomplish.

Bought this to use with my Android audio player in my car. Works great and made to last. I use it everyday!
