It is a USB splitter. It only has one job and it gets it done. It is slim and out of the way and that is a bonus. It has the ability to be powered, but what I use it for does not rely on it being powered so I do not use that functionality.

I have a Mac desktop and all of my USB ports are on the back, which made it hard to plug in all of my accessories to either charge or download pictures from. This USB hub makes it so much easier, now I have no problem using them. I also can plug in a number of items at the same time. I keep all of my pictures on a removable drive, so I can plug it and my phone in at the same time to transfer pictures to the removable drive. I am happy that I bought this item.

Short on USB ports? This is your solution! Tired of not being able to charge your phone, 2 controllers, tablet, headphones and 2 USB mouse and keyboards receivers... well your in luck!

Got this for work. The computer that it is hooked to is not easily reached to use the ports on it so a hub that I can have on my desk was needed. It has been working like a charm.

Purchased to replace an older Belkin that just wore out - the charger unit died. So pleased with the way the 7-port hub worked, that I bought another one as a replacement.

This USB hub has been great so far. I use this with a couple of USB video extenders that wouldn't get by on a USB bus powered hub I had on hand. This USB hub is powered (requires the power block to be plugged into the wall) to get you that extra "oomph" for multiple power draining USB devices need. I'm currently running two extenders, a USB receiver for mouse and keyboard along with USB storage devices. No issues so far. Its nice and compact as well. My only complaint would be that it is not USB 3.0.

I was having problems with the USB port connections on my monitor - it was my source for extra USB connections and was not dependable and caused some issues with my keyboard resulting in its malfunctioning. Once I unhooked everything from there and plugged this into my laptop ALL my issues were resolved. I have used Belkin products in the past and there reputation remains high with me. The 7 ports provide ample slots to plug in all my peripherals without having to unplug one to use another. Great product!!

Lack of USB ports on a new ultra thin computer had me concerned I'd have to buy all new wifi peripherals. This hub looked after everything and still gives me extra room when I need it. Worth the investment.

With so many electronics to charge, this is perfect. It's smaller than others I looked at which is nice when you have a lot of items to charge, who wants a bulky charger?

A MS Surface replaces my PC but I need power for USB connected devices. This unit takes the power load off the Surface.

I have bought several hubs with no luck of being able to support the digital side of my DJ equipment. I use 5 or sometime more Pieces of professional audio equipment that depend on USB ports to keep a strong signal with no dropouts. This powered hubs so easy to set up and start using within 5 minutes. Just plug it in to a power source and to your computer. It a plug and play device, that REALLY IS plug and play! I will tell all DJs about this, great priced, must have piece of equipment you need to keep the music going! Thanks for carrying those special items that let us enjoying what we love to do!

Our old Belkin USB Hub (> 8 years old) started to lose connectivity on a random basis. We purchased this new Belkin hub and are completely satisfied with the purchase. This new hub has twice the ports as the old one but is about 70% smaller, easier to fit on our desk top and work with our hp computer, printers, scanners, mouse, and keyboard and still have a port or two left over.

This is a really nice hub beyond the fact that it is light so it does not sit flat on a surface after you have plugged several of the wires in, it also has a relatively short power cord.

I bought a Belkin 7-port USB Hub at Best Buy, and I am very happy with it. Because it has 7 USB ports, I can plug in my keyboard, portable mouse USB connector, memory stick, laptop cooling fan, and camera, and I can still charge my phone and have one more USB port to spare! Also, it's slim and has a removable power cord, so it is quite easy to carry around. I'm so glad I bought this model.

I bought this hub so I can connect my iPods, iPad and iPhone. This hub is convenient so I don't have swap out devices, I have a port for all my devices.

This hub certainly met my expectations. I'm using it at work and it has allowed me to use additional laptops. Another great purchase from Best Buy!

Works as advertised. Having seven ports lined up is a good, space efficient design. Be advised that it needs a power supply. The USB cable is long enough for most users (about 4 feet).

Just want I wanted. A seven port hub that is compact and barely noticeable. Very happy with my purchase and helpful staff at Best Buy Prescott.

Its simple and it works great. I had one of these, heavily used/abused, for years before it burnt up and went with the same unit as a replacement.
