Customers are saying

Customers regard the DuraTek Plus 4' Lightning-to-USB Type A Cable as highly durable and possessing a convenient cable length. Positive feedback also highlights the cable's five-year warranty. However, some customers find the price to be relatively high compared to competitors, and a few have reported inconsistent charging performance.

    A premium Lightning Cable

Bottom Line: The DuraTek Plus improves the fit and finish of Belkin’s DuraTek cable line Pros: reinforced braided cable, longer, flexible cable jackets, nice leather strap Cons: none out of the box Review: I already own a Belkin MixIt! DuraTek Apple Watch charger, which has held up really well over the past 18 months. The DuraTek Plus cable feels even more robust than the original DuraTek, and the leather strap (non-removable) to keep the cord wrapped is a nice accent. Assuming this cable holds up better than a plastic wrapped one (and I’m almost certain that it will), it is well worth the price.

This is a great cable. I've tried other braided cords before but they still tend to fray with normal use. This is the first one I've tried that flexes without visible movement of the braid. The leather snap enclosure for travel and cord organization is great and solidly built. The connectors on both ends are a nice smooth material that also has a little give without being flimsy. I've tried this with multiple chargers and USB ports and have had no issues with connection whatsoever. This also easily let's me connect to my chromebook for photo transfer.

    Outstanding Belkin Charging Cable

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Belkin DuraTek Plus Lightning to USB Type-A Cable. The length of the cable is really nice compared to the standard 3’ cables most devices usually come with. There are also a few other ‘little extras’ which made this Belkin charging cable stand out to me. Just looking at this cable you can tell it will be durable. The strong, tightly woven fibers of the cord itself, is certain to be a factor in helping the cable resist breaking and kinking; and yet the cord remains flexible. That feature, along with the dense ‘easy-to-grip’ rubberized material the two connectors at each end of the cord are made of, should insure less wear and tear when plugging in and unplugging the cable, which should also prevent fraying and separation of the electrical wires sheathed inside, allowing the cord to last longer. Another ‘nice extra touch’ is the brown leather strap with snap closure which makes it convenient to wind up and store the cable when not in use. Overall, I can say that the Belkin DuraTek Plus Lightning to USB Type-A Cable is definitely worth getting if you are in need of a replacement (or additional) charging cable for your iPhone or iPad.

This is such a nice, heavy duty lightning cable! The packaging was very sleek and the cable itself is braided nylon, really terrific. Charges my apple product perfectly, fits snuggly when I plug it in. The leather keeper is great, and will serve me well when traveling. Overall this is a high quality lightning cable and I would recommend it.

There is not much to say when buying a cable that works. This cable is very sturdy and well made. You really get the sense that it is a premium cable, the length is great and even the design of the cable looks good. And it works exactly how you expect it to. Highly recommended if you are looking a new lightning cable.

Love Belkin products, however this cord held up "ok". It only lasted a couple months before it would not hold a continuous charge and caused attached devices to chirp in and out of charging, not charging. Have not re-purchased this brand due to the quality for that price.

    Excellent Quality, a little bulky

No surprises here, plugged it right in and it worked with both my Apple OEM charger and iPhone X along with plugging into my laptop and recognizing the phone right away. The cord, lightning plug and USB head are all definitely heavier duty and that shows in terms of size and bulk as well as overall weight of the cable. The braided cabling is substantial but not nearly as good looking as other cables I've bought due to the braiding seeming a bit inconsistent. Overall this cable should last longer than most, but I won't know for sure until I've owned it for awhile. So far so good though!!!!

I've always bought "cheap" iPhone cables after the OEM cable broke. And they worked...then they'd break..and I'd get another one. I scoffed at anyone that bought expensive cables that they'd break or lose just like my "cheap" one. To begin with...this cable isn't going to break! It's the stiffest/flexible/toughest cable I've owned to date!? But cables are designed to charge so with my old cable on a 30 minute drive to work running the Waze app with the screen on...my phone would charge 4% on average...with this cable it charges 17% on average. No more cheap cables for me! This cable is the best!

I never thought a phone cable could be so aesthetically pleasing. This cable is just that. It comes with a leather strap with a button to hold the cable together when not in use. Most of all is the practicality of this cable. I have never been a fan of braded chords because they usually are not as durable as they seem. This is the exception, the cable is very thick and has a very nice texture to it. On the other hand it is flexible and easy to use. I highly recommend this cable to anyone who has an iPhone. It is much more durable and better looking than your average phone charger.

Ah, not really. It's a cable. This is not going to be an overly detailed review. As I said, this is a cable - not much to talk about and you are not going to read a detailed review anyway. So let's look at the pros and the cons. Pros : Durable - The material it is made of is very strong. If you ever had a an Apple lightning cable that wears at where the connector sleeve meets the cable, that will never happen with the Belkin Duratek Plus cable. Tangle resistant - The material it is made of makes far less prone to tangles. Great warranty - 5 years. Cons : Bulky - the more robust design makes it about twice as bulky as a traditional Apple Lightning cable. Price - same cost as the Apple version but why are cables still $30+. Overall , I like the cable. It is a well built and definitely will last. Some may not like the extra bulk but it is not too bad. Recommend.

I connect and disconnect the charging cables on my iPhone and iPad several times a day, whether at home, in my office, or in the car. As a result, my iPhone cable cracked near the lightning connector and the cover became frayed. Enter the Belkin Duratek Plus Lightning cable. A good alternative to OEM cables and a good spare cable. Pros: - braided nylon cover and Kevlar layers keep wires from wearing - reinforced housings at both the USB and Lightning connector ends - comes in different lengths - leather snap closure keeps the cable neat when not in use - compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod - compatible with portable USB chargers, car, and wall chargers - 5-year Manufacturer warranty Cons: - bulkier and stiffer than OEM charging cables; takes up more space - price, compared to other aftermarket cables

This lighting cable has been the best strongest cable I’ve ever used. I’ve have tried many cables and by getting this Belking cable out of the box you can tell is going to last you for a while. The DuraTek Plus make this lighting cable more durable than most cables out there, it charges my iPhone 7plus very quickly and the leather strap attached to this cable it comes handy when you want to take your lighting cable for travel or just want to storage it without any tangled.

This is the most substantial (and thickest) Lightning to USB cable that I have ever encountered. The braided outer wrap makes it easy to handle. The plug ends are sturdy and much less likely to fray than the original that came with my phone. The leather strap affixed to the cable keeps it neatly coiled and out of the way when not in use and allows the length to be customized for locations that do not require so long a cable.
