Zero nightstand clutter!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re tired of multiple cords and cables falling off your nightstand, this all-in-one charging dock is your solution! I was tired of having my apple watch charging puck fall off my nightstand and I would spend 5 minutes fishing it back up my nightstand. Same goes with my iphone charging cable. I knew I wanted an all-in-one charging dock but most of those docks require you to use your OEM watch charger. This belkin dock is self contained and only requires one power cable plugging into the back of the dock to quickly power both your apple watch and your iphone. This frees up your original apple watch charging puck for travel use! The form factor is well thought out and looks great on my nightstand with or without my devices. The soft rubber backing keeps your phone and watch scratch free. Its also rubber bottomed so it won’t scratch your nightstand or desk. It does have a good weight to it so it wont easily move around when you’re docking your phone. Belkin also have solved the issue with different phone cases adding different thickness to your phone. There is a dial on the back that allows the built in lightening plug to move up or down. The plug also pivots so there is always a setting that you can easily dock your phone with one hand. After setting up the dial on the back, you can easily dock your phone in the dark and while half asleep. The magnetic apple watch charger allows you to charge your apple watch on its side for nightstand mode or in its traditional orientation. I highly recommend this belkin charging dock if youre looking to de-clutter your nightstand and charge both devices fast. Pros: • Looks great on your nightstand • Very thoughtful design to accommodate different phone cases • Heavy weight to keep it from moving around Cons: • A bit spendy but it does charge the apple watch without using your original cable • Not good if you like to surf on your phone and keep it plugged in at the same time. • Magnet could be stronger. I some times bump the nightstand hard enough to disconnect my apple watch. I highly recommend this charging dock. I hope you found this review useful!

Perfect Charger for iPhone & Apple Watch Users
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With this Belkin dock, I can finally eliminate the multi-charger setup on my nightstand. Gone are the tangled wires hanging near my bedside! Here's what I like: - Modern, sleek design. - Fits iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus perfectly. - Charges iPhone and Apple Watch quickly using only one power outlet. - The height of the lightning connector on the dock is adjustable, so it will work with practically any case. No need to remove your case just to dock/charge your phone. - I can easily remove my iPhone from the dock with just one hand -- I don't need to use my other hand to hold down the dock. - The arm to charge the Apple Watch is very sturdy. The Watch attaches very easily and works with all of my watch bands. Overall, this Belkin dock is a great accessory for any Apple Watch user looking to save space and charge their devices without multiple cords and chargers. Highly recommended!

Handy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a handy charging dock for iPhones that charge via a Lightning connection and Apple Watches. First impressions matter, and Belkin has done a nice job packaging this dock. My only complaint is that the wall charger is huge. That looks odd compared to all the smaller wall chargers we use for other devices. I included a picture so you can see what I mean. There is a dial on the back that took me a few minutes to grasp what it does. It does not, as I first thought (b/c the simple diagrams weren't immediately obvious to me), move the charging port forward and backward or switch power between the watch and the phone. What it does do is raise and lower the height of the phone charging port in order to accommodate your phone case. It is blatantly obvious in retrospect, but I misunderstood it initially. Feel free to laugh, if you must. Regardless, it's a handy, simple, effective charging dock for iPhones and the Apple Watch. I like the fact the phone sits vertically, so you can place it on a desk and easily reference the phone while it charges. As a final note, it charged my devices quickly and without any excess heat. I'd call it a winner.

Nice Addition To My Nightstand
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this item in exchange for an unbiased review. Before getting this dock, I used to charge my devices with the Apple supplied cables. My iPhone charger would normally fall to the floor or behind the nightstand, while the Apple Watch charger seemed to stay in place more often. This dock eliminates the issue of having to find cables each night to plug in my iPhone. Both the iPhone and Watch seem to rest safely on this stand, which seems pretty solid. The Lightning connector for the iPhone can be adjusted with a wheel on the backside of the stand. This allows the dock to support iPhone cases of different sizes, which is nice. It has taken a little bit of practice for me to get the hang of smoothly connecting my phone to the dock, but the Watch magnetically snaps into place when placed on the arm. There are two things about this dock I might complain about if pressed. First, while the stand seems heavy enough, the Lightning connector is connected strongly enough that attempting to lift the phone straight up with one hand will also lift the front of the dock. While it can be done with two hands or a slight bit of maneuvering, it takes some getting used to. The other complain is that my Watch seems to rotate to the side when placed on the charging arm. The arm contains a smooth plastic indentation that supports the back of the watch. While the magnetic connection seems strong, the smooth plastic allows the watch to rotate. It can only go so far in either direction, but it would be nice if it remained in the orientation in which it was originally placed. Maybe they had to use that material to get a good enough connection for the charging to work, but maybe a surface with more friction would have been nice. This is purely an aesthetic thing and does not affect performance. All-in-all, this is a nice-looking and functional charging dock. If you are looking for a charging solution for both an iPhone and Apple Watch, this is a good choice.

Finally! The dock I've been looking for!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking for a dock that could support both my iPhone, inside it's case, and my Apple Watch. Most of the ones I found online required the use of the Apple Watch and Lightning charging cords and was merely a holder. This one has both built in! Below are my pro's and con's: Pro's: * Base is weighted and very sturdy feeling * iPhone lightning connector is adjustable to work with some cases * Base includes charging puck for Watch * Charging puck securely holds Apple Watch * Uses a single charging cord, freeing up Watch and iPhone cables Con's * The lightning connector can be pushed down by the case if you're not careful - my first attempt resulted in my phone constantly buzzing as it disconnected and reconnected. * Power brick is big, as you might expect, just make sure you have room for a rectangular, portrait oriented power brick. If there's anything I encounter that changes my review, I will update accordingly. For now thought, this is the best bet for anyone looking for an iPhone and Apple Watch combo charging stand.

A small light around the lightning port = 5 stars
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great dock. If Best Buy would allow half star ratings, I would give it 4.5 stars instead of 4. I think the only thing that would make this a 5 star dock is if there was a little LED light around the lightning port. This would allow easy phone plugging in the dark. And, the light wouldn't be a bother b/c once you plug the phone in, either the light is covered by the phone or Belkin could make it so the light turns off. At first, I thought the design would prevent charging the Apple Watch in nightstand mode but, as you can see from my pictures, this is not true. You can charge the Watch in either orientation. Another nice feature is the adjustable lightning port, to take into account varying sizes and shapes of cases you may have on your iPhone. You turn a dial on the back of the dock to either raise or lower the lightning connector which, in turns, adjusts the positioning so you can plug the iPhone in even if there is a case on it.

Great features!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does exactly what I needed it to do, it charges both my apple watch, and my iphone, without a mess of cords on my nightstand anymore. I enjoy the little wheel that allows you to adjust how far the lightening cable extends out of the actual base. It's useful if you have a bulky case on your phone, because you can just adjust it to account for the case size. Overall, this was a great design, and I wad able to get it while it was on clearance for around $20. Definitely a steal for that price, but high enough quality I would have expected the original, higher price point with it being a great quality, functional charging station. Love the simple look of it, too!

Solid Product, A bit on the expensive side
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Could you imagine writing a review on a lamp? Or perhaps the lightbulb within the lamp? It would be tricky, to say the least—not because it’s not easy to assess whether or not the thing is doing its job, rather, because the job itself is a simple one that doesn’t come with a lot of excitement. So this review will be a little different—it will be a little less about the function, and more about the form. Phone accessories are a dime a dozen. Big box stores lose business regularly to online retailers offering similar, less expensive (but non-name brand) products. And although it’s still relatively new (when compared to the iPhone, nearing it’s tenth year since release), the Apple Watch also has a fair share of third-party accessories that are becoming less and less expensive. So why spend the extra money on the Belkin PowerHouse? Well, I stand by the brand…Belkin has been around for awhile, I’ve not had major issues with any of their stuff, and they tend to have a good selection of products. For instance, Belkin offers iPhone-only and Watch-only charging docks if you decide the full functionality of the PowerHouse is more than you need. But other than that, the brand-name experience and the price tag of the Belkin PowerHouse may be hard to justify. There are certainly less-expensive options out there, and if you like how they look, save yourself the money, because again, if you’re buying a lamp, the physical appearance is the more important deciding factor given identical function. So let’s talk about the function of the Belkin PowerHouse briefly; there are a couple of nice touches that increase the value of this product: For starters, it has a tilting iPhone charging interface. I’ve had a handful of iPhone charging docks over the years, and invariably there is damage done to your iPhone connector or the charging connector because your two-year-old decided to see how far it can bend. On the Belkin PowerHouse, there is a tilting connector that helps to minimize the damage done there. This may have become standard fare for iPhone docks, but it’s been a few years since I’ve owned one. Its iPhone charging interface is also height-adjustable. There is a small wheel on the back of the dock that allows you to adjust the height of the connector that interfaces with your phone—so provided the connector’s casing is not too large for your phone case, you can increase the “reach” of the connector to allow for iPhone cases with thicker bottoms. On the flip side, though, there is at least one place where this product could be improved. For the amount of detail and attention given to the functionality of the iPhone connection, I’m surprised to see the sort of “dangling watch” setup that the Belkin PowerHouse uses. One of my absolute favorite non-major features of the Apple Watch is night-charging it on its side reveals a nightstand-esque display of the time. The “dangling watch” setup doesn’t allow for this feature to be used, and so the charging area for the Apple Watch is very much a uni-tasker. This is certainly not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to not exclude one of Apple Watch’s features in the deployment of this product. Other than that, it is a very tidy and nice-looking, minimalist stand. It has a single power adapter, so it allows you to free up an outlet in your home, as well as use your existing iPhone and Apple Watch charging cables for spares—we all know how valuable those cables can be. This is definitely something you’ll want to pass on if you don’t own an Apple Watch or don’t think you’ll ever get one…that would be an incredible waste of your money. But, if you are an iPhone user and have an Apple Watch, this is a relatively pricey but well-presented product. If you are an Apple fan, you’re used to paying top dollar for your toys. If you are an Apple Watch owner, you have given up hope entirely of an inexpensive product. So, why not add $100 to those already insane iPhone and Apple Watch price tags and get something that looks good on your nightstand or dresser? It’s also mostly white, which I prefer, but the color may be a deal breaker for some. Color options would also be a nice thing for Belkin to offer. As they say, the time is nigh. Apple’s lightning connector likely isn’t going anywhere, and although we’re potentially a couple weeks away from the next release of iPhone and Watch, the Belkin PowerHouse should serve you well for many years. I would be shocked to see Apple change the charging mechanism on their second generation Watch. If the price tag isn’t an issue, I would recommend the Belkin PowerHouse—but it doesn’t give you something you don’t already have when you buy an iPhone and Apple Watch…it just packages things you already have nicely, while allowing you some spare cables for backup or travel. But let’s be honest…you’ve justified the price tag of everything else, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Almost Perfect Solution
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an iPhone 6s Plus and Apple watch owner I've had to rely on two methods to charge both devices. I use an Urban Armor Gear case for my phone so it's a bit large. I had concerns that regular docks would not work due to the size of the case or I'd be stuck removing the phone anytime I wanted to cradle it. I ended up just plugging it into a sync/charge cable. The Belkin Powerhouse is a great solution to my problem. It comes with it's own power adapter so you don't use a sync cable. It's got some weight so it won't move around while you are docking your devices and it takes up a little more than a 3" x 3" footprint on my desk. The dock for the phone has an adjustable lightning connector that you dial up or down to accommodate different case configurations. It's got some flexibility to the connector to make it easier to dock and undock, although I need practice getting the alignment perfect on the first attempt to dock but I'm sure it will be easier the more I use it. The watch charger is incorporated into the stand and uses the same power source. It's extremely convenient all in one charging station for both devices. Since it does not use a lightning cable or a USB connection you MUST use WiFi sync between the phone and the computer. I had never used that feature and always sync'd using the USB cable so it took me a few moments to set up the combo to sync via WiFi. Not a huge issue but a slight inconvenience at first. All in all a great device which addresses a need for iPhone and Apple Watch owners.

Excellent dock!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dock is very sturdy and seems to be very well made. It sits on my desk at work and is very handy. The watch charging portion holds my Apple Watch very firmly and charges well. The iPhone part of the charger is very cool with its adjustable plug. This is very handy and makes charging in most cases also possible. My lone complaint with the unit is that you can't store the cord inside the base. I'm guessing the weight of the bast took that ability away maybe? Overall this is a very nice charging station and I'm very happy with it and would recommend without hesitation.

Allows Me to Develop A Reliable Charging Routine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst fault of owning both my Apple I-Phone 6 and Apple Watch was keeping them both charged up. Because of the way I use my I-Phone it must be charged each day, and preferably, by early AM. My Apple Watch, however, will go as much as two days sometimes before it needs recharging. But, I did not have a good practice of charging my watch as needed. Sometimes I would 'forget'. Additionally, the charger included with the Apple Watch is sort of cumbersome and could be better designed. So, as a result many times my watch was too low on battery for it to function the entire two full days. However, my hit-or-miss charging ways were changed after I received a complimentary Belkin PowerHouse Charge Dock for Apple Watch and I-Phone for evaluation. By using this convenient docking device for over a week, I was able to develop a nightly habit of charging both my phone and watch together. WooHoo! The Belkin PowerHouse Charge Dock sits on my nightstand, and, looks pretty spiffy when both the I-Phone and Apple Watch are cradled. Plus, there is only one cable to plug into an A/C current outlet. Over the last week I have noticed that this Belkin PowerHouse Charge Dock charges much faster then the standard chargers, included with the I-Phone and Apple Watch. What I really appreciate is the angle of my I-Phone while it is docked. It is so easy to read the time from my bed as I use the I-Phone as my wake-up alarm. The base is weighted, so the I-Phone is not tippy while it is docked , or, if I choose to use any of the other features of my I-Phone like playing music or listening to the nightly news. The Versacase dial on the back of this device raises or lowers the adjustment of the 'lightning-connector'. This is important for me since I use a protective, thin case on my I-Phone. For my Apple Watch the built-in magnetic charging module 'grabs' it and effortlessly aligns it up for inductive charging. Now, my Apple Watch is ready with a full charge when I wake up each morning. The Belkin PowerHouse Charge Dock for Apple Watch and I-Phone is the most convenient way to reliably charge both of my two most important devices. YooHoo! I highly recommend the purchase of this Belkin PowerHouse Charge Dock for yourself, or, as a great gift to any family member or friend for any occasion. Most importantly this device will also allow you to develop a reliable charging routine too. There are so many 'positives', you won't be disappointed.

Very nice dock
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new dock is perfect for someone that owns an iPhone and an Apple Watch. It provides for a nice all in one solution to charging both devices at night. Features: The dock provides a built in charging puck for the watch, so no need to provide your own like on some other stands. The dock only has one power cord for a nice clean install. The lightning port on the dock is adjustable up and down to allow for many different cases on the phone. The lightning port is also spring loaded so you can tilt your phone forwards when unplugging the phone from the dock to make it easier. Fit and finish: Excellent. The dock has a nice rubber feel where your phone and watch sits, so no metal on metal contact. The watch puck is also rubber around the edges so no worries of the watch getting scratched. The whole dock feels very well built, not flimsy at all and has a nice (but not too much) weight to it. My only gripe is that it is a bit tough to line up the phone when putting it on the dock. I'm sure with practice and over time it will be easier for me to get the phone plugged in, but until then there is a little bit of hunting involved to get the port on the phone and the lightning port on the dock lined up.

The most solid Apple Watch and phone charging dock
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has to be one of the most solid Apple Watch and iPhone charging docks around. This is now my new favorite dock for my iPhone and Apple Watch. Why you might ask? Well the first of many reasons is that the Apple Watch charging puck is built in. That means no fooling around using the one from Apple and stringing it through here and there to use a third party dock. Belkin is one of the only companies so far to work with Apple on creating a dock with the puck built into the dock. Not a good enough reason for you? How about the fact that you can use the dock with pretty much any iPhone case because Belkin designed it with a scroll wheel in the back so all you do is simply scroll left or right to raise and lower the lightning port? The gray plastic is made of a very soft material that will keep my devices from getting scratched and the body is made with lots of weight to keep it in place. Some docks slide around the desk when you connect your devices, but not this one. Why more companies don't add weight to make the user experience more enjoyable is beyond me. Aside from the weighted base and the built-in charging puck, this Belkin dock also has a lot of style. I already mentioned the gray covering, but I didn't mention that the body is a bright white color. The combination of the two complimentary colors really make for a sleek looking dock. It's a very clean, modern look that I really like in an accessory. Another unique feature of this dock is the charging cable. It's a fairly standard 12V power adapter except for one thing - the universal plug. The adapter comes equipped with the U.S. wall outlet installed, but the plug can be swapped out for any regional wall outlet adapter. So, if you travel a lot internationally, this would be a great option for you. The only thing is that the additional adapters are not included with the dock. This is a wonderful dock and when I say it's my favorite I'm not just being funny. I've used lots of docks for the iPhone and Apple Watch and none of them can hold a candle to this one. It's truly awesome.

Solidly built, functional charging dock.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Belkin charging dock is excellent. It is solidly built and provides quick charging for the iPhone and Apple Watch. The lightning tip that plugs into your i device moves up and down as well as back and forth via adjustment knob on back. This is very helpful because you will be able to adjust the lightning tip depending on the type of case you have. It will protrude up to about 1/2 inch to accommodate different cases. Additionally it will flex back and forth about 45 degrees. I found this helpful because it reduces/eliminates the stress on the lightning port which was a concern I had. Well thought out design here. The watch charger is part of the dock so you need not use your own cord. You now have an extra cable to charge your watch elsewhere! I thought this was very cool as most other Apple Watch chargers make you use your existing cable. Build quality is excellent. The base has a nice weight to it so it tends to stay put. The portion of the dock that comes in contact with the phone is a nice thick sturdy rubber. So no worries about scratches if you roll caseless. There is a supplied charging block that plugs into the wall and into the dock. You can't use a micro USB to charge the devices. I was hoping for micro USB capabilities here but it's not that big of a deal seeing as the dock is meant to stay put anyhow. Overall, it is a great product that I can recommend if you are in the market for a charging dock and you also own an Apple Watch. The only thing I would change is maybe add different color options.

Belkin Powerhouse Charge Dock - a step back
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best buy actually has the wrong name of the product. It is not the Valet Charge Dock, it is the Belkin Powerhouse Charge Dock . I believe the confusion comes from that this may replace the Valet.Belkin was the first to come out with a dual charging dock for iPhones and Apple Watch. That was the Valet Dock and it was priced high at $150. Fast forward about year and now they have come out with a more affordable version, the Powerhouse Charge Dock. Key features : Built-in Apple Watch magnetic charging module with integrated Lightning connector for the iPhone. Charges the Apple Watch and iPhone simultaneously in comparable time to the OEM charger Adjustable height lightning connector to accommodate iPhones with cases. Power is 1A for the Apple Watch and 2.4A for the iPhone Single tethered AC cable that charges both devices and is 4 feet long. MFi certifed per Apple standards. Pros : Relatively small foot print to accommodate the iPhone and Apple Watch. The built in lightning connected adjusts in height and hinged to move forward about 45 degrees. This enables the dock to accommodate a wide range of iPhone cases and make it a bit easier to dock the iPhone. Convenient charging for two devices. Construction is solid and soft backing support where iPhone rests is a nice touch. Cons : While the device is weighted to keep it in place, it is not heavy enough and you have to hold the dock down when removing an iPhone. Large proprietary power cable that is only 4 feet long. This should have been a universal USB type of design and longer cable. The all plastic finish is not nearly as nice as the Belkin Valet Charge Dock. The Valet Dock is all metal and just a nicer looking and built product. The $99 list price is too high considering the next step up Valet Charge Dock is now down to $129 ( if it is still available.) The dock will work with the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. Although not designed to work with the Apple Ipod, it did work just fine with the Ipod Touch and Ipod Nano. Ipads will connect to the dock but I strongly advise against it, there is support and weight to properly dock with an Ipad and it may end up damaging the Ipad. It is a perfectly capable product and I would recommend it if you can get it from Bestbuy at lower price. If not, go to the next step up to the prior version Valet.

Great dock for Apple Watch owners!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great dock if you want your night stand organized with no wires dangling around! iPhone and Apple Watch fit great (I've tried both 38mm and 42mm models) and magnet is strong enough so watch will stay charging even with a metal band. The only downside is that you can't use "nightstand mode" on the watch without removing the band, they won't fit in the "landscape" mode. iPhone charing port will accommodate any iPhone or iPod with case or no case (height of the charging connector is easily adjustable), it would even charge an Apple TV remote :) Charging dock is very solid and weights 1lb alone, you could even charge an iPad on it (but watch won't fit then). I was surprised to see power brick output rating: 12V 6A which is a whooping 72W - that is more than enough for a super fast charging. Overall - great product, love it!

Great Docking Station
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Belkin dock is a really nice accessory for anybody that owns and Apple watch and IPhone. This dock is equipped with very cool features and is very compact for tight space situation. I will start with the Pros and end with the Cons. Pros: - Unlike some of the more "affordable" docking stations that are available from other manufactures, Belkin's Apple dock has the built in chargers for the Apple watch, and phone, all in one place. You no longer need to have two chargers to charge your devices. The watch charger is also magnetized, so no need to worry about how to hold it in place. - Another real cool feature that this dock has is a retractable apple lightning port that allows it to extend and retract to fit certain phone cases(There is an issue with this that will be explained in the cons section). This comes in handy for folks who have a case on their phone. - The fact that this dock is very compact allows you to have a much cleaner looking work space, for those of you who place your devices on your desk. Everything fits in a small area, so there is no need to have your phone laying in one area and your watch in another. - The dock is heavy enough to prevent you from knocking it over when reaching for either of your devices. This is really important to me because it makes the dock feel of even greater quality. I don't want to knock things over in the middle of the night when I'm reaching over to check the time. Cons: - Not too many cons, but one major issue with the docking station is that, although the lightning charging port is able to extend and retract, it does not come out enough to plug into my phone with an Otterbox Defender case on it. It might work if you remove the rubber liner from it, so this is something to think about if you a beefy case on your phone. - The overall looks of the dock does not win it any awards, but its functions outweigh this little issue. - Another things that I disliked about the dock, and this is the case for pretty much all other docs, is the fact that you are not able to dock the watch on its side to allow the Nightstand mode to go into effect. Too bad, this would have definitely been something new that Belkin could have implemented in the overall design of its dock. It might not be an important feature for all, but I really find it useful. Overall, the Belkin dock is a great accessory to have for anyone that is limited in space. this allows to run only one cord to charge both devices, and puts everything in a small compact space. The retractable lightning port is another great feature for folks with thin cases on their phones. I would highly recommend this Belkin dock to anyone that is in the market for one. You will not regret your purchase.
