This does exactly what you'd think. It doesn't need any special drivers in Windows. Windows will use generic drivers which work fine. This is the USB 2.0 version

I purchased it to be used with the new Macbook 12". I just connected it to the apple dongle and it worked fine. So if you need to connect via ethernet to the internet this is a good option. There is no usb-c option therefore I had to go for this USB connected to the computer via the apple dongle.

Use right out of the box. Was up and running in a matter of minutes. Stayed connected without any problems.

If lightning takes out the network interface in your PC, and the rest of your computer is still O.K., this product will get you up and running again. Of course you will need a spare USB port. This should also work on a laptop which lacks an either net jack when there is no wifi available.

This item was a decent price and it worked right when I plugged it in. I have a MAC and it does't have an Ethernet plug for my network at my job.

I love my thin, lightweight computer, but I had to sacrifice an ethernet port to get it. This adapter makes it possible to plug in on the go if wireless Internet fails. Makes it possible for me to continue working!

I bought this Belkin Ethernet adapter primarily because my 11.6 inch Lenovo Ideapad did not have a provision for a Ethernet port. One way to get around this, besides going wireless is to use one of the usb ports that the Lenovo or any other computer has that doesn't have a Ethernet port. Very easy to use, no programing, just plug in one end to a Ethernet cable and the other to the Belkin adapter. You're all set and ready to go. A very simple and easy solution.

I purchased the Belkin after reading reviews of other USB/Ethernet connectors, and I'm glad I did. I used the connector setting up and testing a multi-point wireless network, connecting to various routers via cable as needed in order to configure the routers. The connector worked with two different Dell laptops without a hitch over the course of several days, connecting into a dozen devices at different points in the project.
