I needed it to bring my macbook screen onto my larger HP monitor. Had a feeling it was the product itself so I went to BestBuy and bought theirs. Worked like a charm. I’ve had zero issues with it.

Plugged it in and connected to her 21in HDTV in her room and the chromebook immediately recognized it and ran it as a second monitor and second desktop space. Now she can run her Zoom conference meetings for school and still work on content at the same time. The pass-thru power allowed for her to continue to use the AC adapter at the same time. So far she has been well pleased with the setup.

However, I read the review of others and their details helped me to decide on this particular adaptor. It's excellent. I have an old flat-screen TV (ie -- not a smart one). I needed to stream programs, etc during this time of the pandemic. I am please to report that this little adaptor works perfectly with my computer, phone, and tablet. The PLUS is that I can charge my devices while streaming, which creates an even better viewing environment.

They changed the connection for the projector to HDMI so I needed a new adapter to connect my laptop to it. The salesperson at Best Buy was very helpful and friendly.
