It expands your computer's USB-C port into 2 USB-C ports, plus a regular USB and HDMI port, and camera cards. I regularly have 2 drives and a monitor plugged into it and still have open USB-C port on it, and one open on my laptop.

I was a bit worried that it plugs into the port for the power cord, but the computer battery had more than enough power for a 3 hour performance; this adapter made it easy to hook up to the theater's projector. Now I'm ready for any theater. This is a keeper.

I was trying to add two external monitors to my laptop because I do a lot of graphics and need as much work space as possible. I needed to be able to display different things on 3 screens - the laptop's and 2 external monitors. This one did the trick because my video card had all the correct ports and the laptop had that capability.

Through the help of a friend of mine I bought a new MacBook Air and its connections are totally different from those of my previous MacBook Air.

There was no information on the package that said it is only able to support one display at a time. I will be returning it for a product that can support dual monitors.

If I plug in another monitor, it kicks off the first plugged in, so not exactly what I wanted.

Great product, all in one

It’s a little cheaper to get individual adapters or cables that have these ports, but I love the convenience of all these ports in one device. 10 years ago wasn’t that long ago when we got monitors :) and those didn’t have HDMI ports but worked great or even work now for basic work as long as you’re not doing any digital editing, most monitors that are that old are completely fine.
