If you are making the move to a newer Samsung phone from an older Android phone that used a Mirco-USB power port, this is a very good adapter to use on your existing Micro-USB cords (wall chargers, car chargers, etc.) to the newer USB Type-C connections on the newer Samsung models. This helps so that you don't have to go buy all new cords. Works well with fast charging also. Deducted a star only because the adapter's fit on some Micro-USB connectors is hit or miss...either fits really well, or is a little loose. Please note this may not entirely be the fault of the adapter.

This conversion unit works with Android Auto; charges and data, while in use.

I got a note 8 and it had the new port that of course required an new charger cable. It's a micro C so I bought a cable that I hoped would be long enough for whatever I needed. It was. At 10 feet, It would work in my new motor home to charge my cell phone, or let me relax on the couch after stopping for lunch or a driving break. It was just long enough to reach around the bird cage to the mini blind next to the door. Perfect.

This item was suggested to me by one of the Best buy employees so I could still use the chargers from my Samsung j3 to my upgraded phone without having to spend more money to buy extra phone chargers. It works well, but it seems to run a bit warm while charging my new phone. I am happy enough with it that I ordered one more for use in another part of the house. It is no longer available, but they have one now that does the same thing just another brand. I ordered it also and still waiting on it to arrive. would I recommend it?, YES!!

The adapter is very helpful for connecting the new Samsung Galaxy 8 using other USB cables. The only drawback is that the adapter is small and easy to lose.

I love that I can use this adapter for my new phone with my old cords. It works great.
