Been using the WeMo Switch for awhile now. Bought the motion sensors before vacation. Using my Iphone and the app IFTTT (it's designed to work with the WeMo sensors) I setup a condition that if it sees motion, to text me. Worked perfect for an alarm system. No false alarms, and when we had family stop by to check on the house while we were gone, it worked perfect. I knew what time they arrived, how long they were there, and what time they left. Great piece of mind when you're away.

It's easy to set up for the most part. Can take some time. Once it's set up it's easy to use with the app. Motion sensor works very well in almost any location.

The Belkin switch and motion sensor make it incredibly easy to setup any kind of automated function you can dream up. I have mine setup to turn on a lamp as i come downstairs so i can see what I'm about to trip over. The possibilities are endless. Great product, very easy to set up, just make sure you give it time to update the firmware.

The WeMo Switch and motion sensor was just what I needed to light a dark room. Normally I would blindly feel the wall to find the light switch in the dark. But with this product I could turn it on before I went into the basement theater and turn it off from another room using the app on my phone. I wish it came with another outlet. I also wish the motion sensor came with a way to mount it.

Unit works well after the buyer self-diagnoses issues with wifi configuration. Unit does not handle loss of power well. Also does not work on multi-layer wifi security. Does fine once wifi security levels are reduced. Able to setup "IF, THEN" rules using WeMo or www.IFTT.com website. Seems flawless once it is setup properly.

Great idea to be able to control plugged in devices through a smart phone app. Also, the motion detector is a great feature in that it activates the plug, ie turns on a lamp or other device simply by detecting someone walking by.

Works as stated. The reaction time is just a little slow when it comes to using IFTTT perhaps due to the latency.

I love the WeMo products from Belkin, I have a few of them and have never had any problems. The Belkin WeMo Switch and Motion Sensor work and they work well. Once they had been setup I was able to control my living room lights from my iPhone and late at night I could just walk into the dark room without looking for a light switch because the motion sensor would detect me with ease. I have a strong network in my home so they connect and work great for anyone with spotty network connection just know that they might not work as good. I just wish I could find more ways to use them in my home. I want my home to be fully controlled by my iPhone.

I have a second home in another State, and this device allows me to control lighting, etc. from wherever I am on the planet...or just to a preset time or motion.

Many application! I have pets so don't need to worry about them being in the dark. With their movement around the house it looks like I am home.

Product works as advertised. No flaws. No complaints. Comes recommended

It was easy to set up, download the app on my phone and control it remotely. I was very pleased they way it worked even on cell phone data.

Works great from just about anywhere. Would recommend.

Easy way to control anything from far away. The phone app work great, the motion sensor is not as good as the switch.

Goto the IFTTT website and add on some really neat functionality.

got this for my dad for night when he gets up late for a drink so when he walks in the room it comes on he is 81 after a late night fall this was well worth the money no more walking in the dark

It's something fun to try. Have to get used to actually using it

When my family or neighbors go on trips, I can remotely operate their lighting, radios, tv's, etc. from anywhere I have iPhone service! This is a must have for anyone who leaves their home overnight or just wants to turn on the coffee pot etc. before they return home. If the information on this product were correctly understood by the publec, I would venture to say, everyone would have these in their homes. There are several options available to operate each device you hook this up to; absolutely amazing product. You will not be disappointed. If you doubt my word, just purchase one and try it for a few days (remember Best Buys return police is awesome too). But I doubt you will need or want to return this after using it for two minutes!

Setup was very easy, the app guides you through everything. I use it to turn my desk lights and computer monitors on when I enter my room. After 5 mins of no activity at my desk (time can me adjusted) it shuts them off. I put the motion sensor on my desk, a small light blue led lights up when motion is detected (would be great if this light could be turned off) and a few seconds later it turns on the outlets that my desk lights and monitors are connected to. The possibilities are endless of what you could do with this.

First, I own several Wemo switches including (2) light switches. The recent software update to the iphone app and firmware makes these devices very stable and reliable. However, it's almost like they forgot the motion product. This has never worked for me reliably. So I returned it and will wait until they get the bugs worked out. I have no idea who these other reviews are because they are not following the Amazon, Apple, or even Belkin website reviews.
