I'm a little extra crafty, and I've wired one of these (with a few other relays and hardware) into my security system. We pay no fees for notification of alarm (and even doorbell). Our Nest, Life360, and IFTTT apps know family member's locations and can automatically arm our home after the last member leaves. We can set the same to happen to disarm upon arrival if we choose. We use this with other Wemo Insight Switches and Wemo Mini Plugs to operate strobe lights INSTANTLY upon alarm and doorbell activation as we have a Deaf family member. I will be purchasing another of these for garage door monitoring and control from anywhere. These are more configurable and compatible than even the Chamberlain MyQ add-ons. This Maker is incredibly useful to the gadget geek interested in home control of things that normally wouldn't be. Highly recommended. Programming not required, only basic understanding of simple circuits. For prospective buyers. You get full monitoring of one sensor input and full control of one relay output. Input: Three terminal syou can use to monitor for low level voltage input, or monitor for a normally open or normally closed contact or switch, such as a traditional magnetic reed security door contact. You can see status of one or the other, but not both. You have to choose only one method. Output: Two terminal relay output. You can set for toggle or momentary. If toggle, then you may leave N.O. or N.C. If momentary, then always N.O. and approximately one second close upon activation before open again. Worth the money. Had Best Buy store price-match their own website for a better deal. Will purchase at least one more for garage, who knows how many after that...

Was easy to install and controls low voltage switch just great. Worth buying and would purchase again.
