timer does not work properly

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am having problems with the timer stopping and not finishing ie- set for 5 minutes and stops totally after 2 minutes so I have to set a different timer for the last 3 minutes. Do I need to return it?
