Not Bad for the Money

The toaster has a cheap feel and appearance. My last toaster (Rowenta) lasted so long, I couldn’t figure out how this works. The lever won’t lower down unless the toaster is plugged into the outlet. Also, you can’t raise the lever while toasting. You have to turn the darkness wheel to the lightest setting and the toast/bagel will pop up. For all I know, every new toaster might be configured this way. It’s just a strange feel to me. So far it toasts well. The darkness setting is pretty accurate and my toast toasts evenly. The toaster doesn’t have the feel of something that will last but for $15 I would love to get a year or two out of it.
