I had the previous model with real buttons that died after almost two years. The only issue I see is getting parts (carafe, replacement filters), otherwise great coffee and brews and keeps coffee very hot.

Lid on carafe?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a carafe like this one that you can’t remove the lid to clean it and the carafe separately. It has me baffled. I’m afraid if I try to pry it apart where the lid is joined to the carafe handle, something is going to break. There’s that and also as others have stated, the touch screen buttons are not very responsive. For that reason I am only giving this coffeemaker 3 stars.
