It's really just a stylish convection oven

The Bella Air Fryer does what it's designed to, but the whole notion that this "fries" food is misleading. This is the first time I have tried an "Air Fryer" and I'm not sold on it after this. The design of this Air Fryer is pretty simple. At the bottom is a pull out "basket", at the front is a timer knob, and the top has a temperature control knob with a Power and Ready LED above it. There is also a vent on the back top of the machine, and a power cord attached to the lower back. Inside, above the basket, you can see the heating element, and there is a fan contained in the body. It's fairly tall, but not too wide and deep in it's cylindrical design. From an overall feel, the Bella Air Fryer is average in most ways. The entire machine exterior is plastic, except for a stainless steel accent at the top. Most of it feels pretty good, but some of the plastic feels a little cheaper than I would like in a kitchen appliance that will see regular use. The few stainless steel or chrome looking accents break up the monochrome all-black look. The temperature button on the top has a little resistance when spinning and doesn't feel cheap in that regard, but there is a little bit of lateral movement when touching it which cheapens the feel. The timer on the front feels better without as much movement. The basket is metal with a non-stick coating, and there is a non-stick tray that fits inside. The handle to the basket feels okay, but it could be a bit more solid or heavy-duty. At the end of the day I think the Bella Air Fryer is constructed well enough to last with care, but it doesn't feel built to take abuse. I feel like it could be improved to inspire confidence that it can handle daily use. In operation, it works fine. The timer worked consistently, and the heat setting seemed to work as set. It indicated temperature very quickly, showing that it heats up quickly. I didn't test the interior temperature with a probe thermometer, but it cooked my food according to the recipe consistently, so I will give it the benefit of the doubt. The vent on the back was blowing out enough air to move my paper towels behind it. Additionally, the fan is pretty quiet during operation, especially compared to my past experiences with convection toaster ovens. I have confidence that everything was functioning correctly, and operating it was really simple and straight forward. I gave it the rating it has because it does actually cook food well. Because it heats up quickly, it is also fairly convenient. My biggest issue, though, as mentioned in the beginning, is that calling this a "fryer" is misleading. It's more like a compact convection oven in a different configuration. I have tried "frying" several things, and the reality is it bakes them. The pictures show fish I coated in homemade breadcrumbs, and they came out like they do in my oven. Other items I cooked in it produced similar results, finishing more baked than fried. To me, this makes sense based on how this works and is constructed. A fan, a heating element, and no oil means this is just a stylish convection oven. Realistically, this just heats up faster than a typical convection oven, and cooks faster because it's a smaller space to manage with the fan moving the air around evenly. If you approach this like a compact convection oven, I think it does a good job and serves a niche market. The basket size is small compared to many convection toaster ovens, so it's not going to serve large groups. However, we have a small camper that this would serve well as a primary way of cooking various items for a couple people when traveling. Because it doesn't take up a ton of space it works well for that purpose. Though, in all honesty a convection toaster oven would probably do just as well. If you're looking for truly fried food coming out of this you will be very disappointed.

I really like my air fryer. I had wanted one for a long time, and finally decided to go for it. While I don't use it all the time, I do enjoy it. I did not like, though, that when I first bought it and washed the basket/drawer and slotted disc tray inside for the first time, when I went to put the slotted disc tray back into the drawer basket, one of the three rubber (or silicone) "stoppers" on the edge, to keep it in place, popped backwards, and I had a difficult time for a couple of minutes getting it back into position to hold the disc in place. But I eventually found a way to insert that without the pieces popping off every time. I just angle the disc when putting it back into the basket, and touching two of the three silicone stoppers towards the bottom inside the basket, then easing the third stopper in and down. That usually works for me. Other than that, I have had no issues with it so far, except for where to put it. lol I have a small kitchen with not a lot of counter or cabinet space. Since it is analog, the timer on it is not as accurate as I would prefer, so I often use my microwave timer for more accuracy. It has markers for 10, 20, and 30, and little dots for each minute in between. But I feel more comfortable with the microwave timer. The temperature setting also only has 25 degree increments, so if I need to cook something at 380 degrees for instance, I have to guess that the dial is in the right spot. Also, it is a good size for one person. For a bigger family, I might recommend a larger capacity item, but this is a good size for one or two people. Overall, I am happy with this item. It's a good little item, and I do not regret purchasing it.

    My New Favorite Kitchen Gadget

There's been so much hype in air fryers so I got curious. Before I decided buying I researched the recipes that I can cook with it, and I was pleasantly surprised. Having a small kitchen, I was looking for a small appliance. And I intend to buy just that - an air fryer, not a multi-function appliance. So when I saw this item was on special, I grabbed the chance and got me one. And it didn't disappoint. I only had this for 3 weeks and I was able to cook chicken, burgers, bacon, steak, fish and veggies in no time. Will soon venture into baking desserts with it! And it's so simple to operate. It's my new favorite kitchen gadget!

Bought this on sale for Black Friday. What a deal. I have been makin wingz and fries all day everyday. I like them Lemon pepper or garlic Parmesan wingz. If you haven’t tried them you missen out. The fryer is good for $30-40. Wouldn’t pay more then that. If you got a big family get the bigger one. It is dishwasher safe but I ain’t got one of those so I washin it by hand. Easy clean cause I use that non-stick cookin spray. Get one for your fam if you like fries or wingz

I bought the Air Fryer back in November of 2019. The price was $50. I have nothing but great praise for this product. It saves you time. It can prepare anything you desire. No need to place oil. easy to wash after use and I have bought extra ones for family. They love it too. Most food I have fried are generally things that take between 10 to 20 minutes, from bread to burgers. My wife LOVES IT!

I wanted an air fryer but did not want to spend a lot of money on one until I knew if I liked it or not. I found this one online and the price was perfect. Since I received it I have made at least a dozen things and I could not be happier. I was worried little about the size being too small but it is perfect for 2 people. You cannot go wrong with this air fryer in my opinion.

It's pretty big for its size but gets the food done very well. I've made Chicken Tenders, Bacon, Meatballs, Mozzarella Sticks all in this air fryer and it makes me wish I've brought one sooner. Less greasy on your favorite fried food items. You won't regret buying one for a very reasonable price. This was a Christmas gift for me

The Bella-Pro Series Air Fryer works really well. Great value for the price. I’ve used a top of the line (expensive) Cuisinart Air Fryer and the Emerald Air Fryer (which I do not recommend since there’s literally no way to contact the company seriously), and this Bella cooks just as good as the Cuisinart, and the Bella is easier to clean. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Ordered this for my boyfriend and he loves it. It’s easy to clean and it’s not too large. Only downside is it make food have a certain taste to it which I think will go away after a few uses. I recommend this one if you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive air fryer!

The air fryer does a good job for easy smaller portions. I can’t do a whole chicken or something large, but great for sausages, small meats and Kale. It cooks things fast, and it’s convenient. Chicken wings cook so good in this little machine. I like that it’s small, as my kitchen counter doesn’t have any room.

I'm no expert on air fryers, and I'm not a gourmet cook but as far as simplicity, taste and time go this fryer is perfect. I've got along way to go trying everything this will do but so far I've enjoyed the journey!

This air fryer is definitely is recommended especially for one that is being for the first time. Cooks well with easy clean up. I wish the analog timer and temperature control were digital but they do not negatively impact it s performance. Happy with this purchase and so will you be.

Been thinking about getting an air-fryer for awhile. I heard about this one on a "good deal" site, and indeed, it was! $35, free shipping, ordered at 10am, and it was on my doorstep same day. Simple to use, and it really works. I use it mostly to cook frozen chicken patties, meatballs and hamburger patties. It cooks them well, pretty fast compared to a frying pan, makes much less mess and is easy to clean. Also easy to check progress as food cooks, just pull it open. Starts right back up when you close it up. I am very happy with this purchase.
