We cooked in a pot filled with oil before which we had to heat up. Gas was uneven and sometimes slow when cold. This heats up and keeps the temp consistent. It is great and keeps the boiling down

It fries and irritates

I will say the safety magnetic cord was almost enough to make me return the item… after each use. Weak magnets so it falls out constantly

A huge regret

Instructions say to press buttons that are not on the machine. The magnetic plug falls out. Constantly says it’s pre-heating so I never know when the machine has reached temperature, pre-set timer shuts the machine off, and not always able to set timer per instructions ( doesn’t have all the proper buttons). More of a hassle and frustration.
