I got this for $30 off it is a good deep fryer. Does what it's supposed to do and works well. Tastes like restaurant quality meals in your own home. I don't know why the other person said it stopped working, they probably submerged the whole thing in water.

Plug for the deep fryer is very sensitive and Does not stay connected. The product seems flimsy and poor quality. Would’ve returned it but past the return timeline.

This deep oil fryer is just the right size. The fryer I have now is too large and uses too much oil. Easy to clean and the digital display is nice.

Where to start... Seen this on sale 50% off. Had $15 in certificates so I thought cool get a $60-70 deep fryer for 20 bucks. Cant beat it.
I go buy $40 worth of ingredients to be able to make some different recipes. Get home from work, cut potatoes, while they sat in water I start to make cheese sticks so I can put them in the freezer for alittle. After waiting a half hour I open the instructions and clean the necessary parts. Poor in oil, go to plug in the magnetic power cord and thought I was doing something wrong.
No both ways, one obvious way, still doesnt attach. Still think Im doing something wrong. Figure out the magnetic end going into the machine is such a poor fit that it wont stay in. I had to use a candle to rest the cord on so it would stay in.
Then you preheat the oil, put the fries in the basket. Like what is up with this basket? So flimsy, doesnt sit square and rests right on the heating coils. Adjusting the basket so it sits square and move the elements enough the power cord falls out. Fenangle the cord more so it turns back on. The distance of min to max oil is about a 1/4". The fries, small quantity, are at some spots sticking out of the oil. After changing temperature and shaking basket, the cord falls out again. Beyond frustrated with this junk I just bought.
Other cons: The hot oil and thin sidewalls sounds like hail hitting a tin roof.
The odor filter is metal mesh that wouldnt filter play sand let alone a gas.
The digital LCD touchscreen is in fact not touchscreen, there are only big clunky buttons for the different temperatures, time, and power.
Long preheat times
Settings for preheat vs at temp cook time arent very clear or obvious.
Worth mentioning again, the basket is complete flimsy junk.
Again, and worst of all, the magnetic power cord is a great idea, but only if your quality and tolerances are adequate. Which these are not.

I gave away as a housewarming gift and the item stopped working while they were cooking less than 6 months. I tried to exchange could not exchange. The rating is one star but the system would not allow me to put that for some reason.
