Bella Pro Series 6.5 QT AirPro Cook & Fry with Optipot Technology
Upon receipt of the Bella Pro Series 6.5 QT AirPro Cook & Fry with Optipot Technology, the exterior and interior box were punctured during delivery, however the unit itself was not damaged at all.
The Bella Pro Series 6.5 QT AirPro Cook & Fry with Optipot Technology has a nice stainless steel exterior with shiny black plastic accents. It looks great and is easily cleaned. However, it tends to be a fingerprint magnet. This unit comes with all the accessories necessary to perform the functions.
Outside of the cooking pot, air fry basket and steam rack , this unit includes a pressure plate and an air fry grate.
Cons - It is loud when the fan is running, however it is only on during certain functions. The rest of the time it is silent.
Secondly, the machine is large and it states in the directions not to place it underneath upper cabinets. This is apparent for two reasons - it is so large that when the lid is opened it is higher than the upper cabinets, also, it has a vent on the back of the lid to release steam.
It is also important to note that when operating the lid, you must completely twist the handle passed spring tension every time the lid is opened or closed or the porcelain where the two surfaces meet will chip. (I have minor damage on mine already)
With the negatives out of the way lets start with the positives this machine has to offer.
Pros - Super easy to clean. The cooking speed and functionaly are the highlights of this machine.
The bottom element in the machine is a very, thick heavy heating element. The main chamber the heating element resides in is thick cast iron with a porcelain coating to retain heat. This also acts as the base of the pressure cooker system. In addition to that there is a thick aluminum pot with handles that nests neatly inside. Inside that there are 2 choices - air fry basket and a steam tray.
Testing -
Started with fresh potato fries using the air fry function. Perfect. Being a novice, the learning curve was short and easy. Success was with the first attempt. Decided to try some air fried hot dogs and even toasted a few hot dog buns as well. Made for a quick and easy Monday night dinner.
Second recipe tested was two pressure cooked sweet potatoes. Same results once again the Bella made it easy. Perfectly tender sweet potatoes with half the cooking time as compared to baking them in the oven and without heating up the entire kitchen
Jasmine rice cooked using the rice/grain function turned out just as it should.
The perfect side dish test for my wife was a baked squash casserole dish. Used the saute function to soften the onions and squash; then changed gears, added the remaining ingredients and baked the casserole all in the same pot. Clean up was beyond easy.
Slow cooker test was, of course, a pot of chili. Again the saute function worked exactly as expected for the onions and ground beef. Then, after adding the remaining chili ingredients, the air fry grate needed to be changed out with the pressure plate to use the slow cooker function. A plate handle is include to safely remove the hot air fry grate, so the pressure plate can be inserted and the slow cooker setting can be used. Worked like a charm.
In conclusion, the Bella Pro Series 6.5 QT AirPro Cook & Fry with Optipot Technology is easy to use, very versatile, and most definitely a keeper!

I got this Bella kitchen for my wife and asked her to review the product.
I tried several different functions on the air fryer.
The pressure cooker was very easy to use and cooked the chicken tenderloins from frozen without drying them out.
I then made chicken stew on the slow cooker setting. It turned out good as well.
The bake/roast function- I did baked apple halves and they were very tender.
The Air Fryer - I made potato wedges and they were browned nicely and were crisp.
All in all the settings I used and the simplicity of use was very good.
The machine is large if you are limited on storage or counter space.
Changing the plates on the inside for the different functions was very easy to do.
I would have liked a cookbook to come with it because there was not much online that was helpful. That will come with time.
It doesn’t fit under upper cabinets while open. You have to move it to the edge and open it.
Best if you could use it on an island.
Over all I would rate the machine 4 stars because it does what it is to do and with ease but has some minor limitations.
The lid can’t be opened completely because of kitchen counters.
Useful Recipes either in print or on the Net would be a helpful and a much needed addition.

Order came in with a small dent on the side but other than that it works great. We have used it multiple times already and it makes dinner time so much easier. The chicken comes out perfect and juicy. So much faster than a stove.

It was great when it worked! The pressure-cooked chicken was flavorful, steam-cooked veggies came out in minutes, and frying fish was a breeze.
But then the heating element went on the fritz and it got the point where it couldn't even cook rice correctly--all it gave me was messy soup-slop no matter how many times I tried to set the proper cook time.
Thinking it was a one-time issue, I took it to the store for a replacement and it turns out this brand is known for breaking down. So naturally we decided to turn it in for store credit instead of getting another one.
But if an otherwise good product breaks within two weeks of getting it, and is KNOWN for breaking, then is it really a good product? I think not.

In my review of the Bella Pro Series 6.5-quart Digital Multi Cooker with Air Fryer I would like to give this product 3.5-stars out of 5.0-star rating but limited to whole-stars so rounding down to 3.0-stars.
As I read through some of the other reviews and to add to my own experience, this product is B-I-G, and a counter-hog!! Coming in a just under 22-pounds it is bulky and can create storage problems for most households. The trade-off is having one large multi-purpose product versus having multiple single-purpose products. The lid does NOT detach, so this leaves you with the 15.5-inch height, 13.0-inch width, and 16.25-inch depth to try to “stuff” it somewhere! When using this product, you need to have a large amount of counter space as with the lid open the product leaps to a height of 23.5-inches along with a 21.0-inch depth. You need a lot of room when using this product due to its size, but you are also dealing with very hot liquids and steam so give yourself more room then you think, until you are familiar with it.
Now first let me state this is my first multi-purpose air fryer / pressure cooker combination product or use of a single air fryer or pressure cooker. Bella states this product will: Air Fry, Pressure Cook, Slow Cook, Steam, Rice Cook, Roast, Bake, Broil, Sauté, Dehydrate, Yogurt and Reheat. My overall opinion with all these features is, how many of them will you use versus traditional methods that have less clean-up with the same results. Reason why I’m saying this is as follows for one example. I do purchase dehydrated fruits and thought it might be nice to try out the dehydrate feature on this product. Well, after just turning on the product in Dehydrate Mode, I couldn’t believe the amount of noise this product generates. I have no comparison to any other product on the market but using the sound meter on my smartphone this product generated an average reading of 87-decibels of noise at a 3-foot distance. This level of noise is in comparison with a household vacuum cleaner. The time range to dehydrate food items runs from a low end of 5-hours to the upper end of 10-hours, so my decision was made. I’m never going to use this product as a dehydrator as the noise level and duration is just too much. Sorry Bella!
My first meal/appetizer, which I was very pleased, was in the cooking of the All-American Buffalo Wings. There are variations of cooking methods to first pressure cook them and then finish them off in the air fryer. I chose just to air fry them at 400-degrees for 30-minutes. I do admit the wings that come from grocery stores now a days are like coming from colossal sized chickens and being that I prefer drums, I could only fit six in the air fry basket. Yes, the basket is 4.0-quarts, but you can’t fill it to the top as you need to maintain space between the wings, keeping them in one layer, so they evenly cook and crisp. I just simply laid them on the bottom in alternating positions to attain the maximum count of 6-drums. I air fried them for 15-minutes then flipped them and finished them off with another 15-minutes for a total cook time of 30-minutes. They came out very crispy and then rolled them in my favorite hot wing sauce. Not bad, but I think next time all start adding sauce in the latter stages of air frying as to fry-in the sauce into the chicken skin. So as for air frying the Buffalo Wings, I think we have a winner here. BUT, not just yet! Yes, the product does put out an average of 87-decibals of noise (even in air frying mode) but I can take the 30-minutes of cooking required. ALSO, what is that nasty smell. First, I thought the chicken skin was burning, or the product itself…no that’s not it. To explain how bad the smell is, it’s in comparison to burnt hair! (No, there were not any stray feathers on the wings, I checked them all pre-cooking). I cooked a total of 18-wings across 90-minutes of total cooking time and the smell permeated my entire ranch home. I read another review here commenting on the same smell. I’m not sure if this product has a burn-off period off period when first using the air fry mode, but I would like Bella to answer this. I believe it does have a burn-off period as you will read further on in my review just below.
My second meal which I was very pleased, was in the cooking of a whole chicken weighing in at 4.7-pounds. This was done first using the pressure cook mode of the product. Simply rub a butter and herb mixture under the skin of the chicken and make sure to keep the legs tied against the chicken body. Then put the chicken on the wire rack inside the cooking pot along with 1-cup of chicken stock. It was pressure cooked for 30-minutes, then converted the product into air fry mode to crisp up the skin for 20-minutes at 400-degrees. This was one of the best chickens I ever cooked and in such a short amount of time. It was juicy and full of flavor including the white meat! I would without a doubt cook this again!! Now to tie-back to my comment of the burnt hair smell while using the air fryer. In this second instance of air frying the following day the smell was gone! So, I do believe there is a burn-off period in the air fry mode of the product itself potentially from some of the plastic parts in the venting chamber.
One thing I wish the product had as an improvement would be having a pressure cook lid with a removable gasket. Silicone will degrade after time, absorb strong odors from onion and garlic, and possibly transfer those attributes to other foods you prepare. I suggest to Bella to have a pressure cooker lid with removable / replaceable gaskets.
Be sure when storing your product, don’t store it with the pressure cook plate in place. Doing so will put stress on the gasket and will shorten its life. I store mine with the air frying grate in place, put all the other times inside the unit itself to save space, and store the pressure cook plate outside the product wrapped in a plastic bag.
In summary, I like to this product but don’t love it. It has many features that I personally feel can be done just as well with less set-up time and clean-up like for rice cooking, baking, sautéing, yogurt making, and reheating. This product will be my go-to product for air frying, slow cooking, and pressure cooking.
I hope you enjoyed my review!

Bella Pro airpro cook & fry with optipot technology.
First of all, just know that you need plenty of room on your counter for this machine because of its size. And if you ever plan to use this as a pressure cooker, it should not be placed beneath a cabinet. When the machine releases the steam, that can damage anything that comes close to it.
So what can you do with this thing – you can air fry, pressure cook, slow cooked, steam, rice cooker, roast, bake, broil, sauté and lastly dehydrate. It is a unique machine that does just about everything (you cannot deep fry with this machine), when you change the inner lid.
Certain recipe can start out with pressure cooking first and then you can always air fry or roast your food – it comes with a lid holder (called “plate handle”) that you can safely remove the "pressure plate" and insert the “air fry grate.” The machine is smart enough to know which inner lid is being used and will only allow you to run certain functions with it.
This particular cooker is made to look, feel and weigh like a tank. The lid is unlocked with a large knob on the top and opens up and stays up (if you choose to). Regardless of what you are trying to make and what ever function you are going to use, the nonstick cooking pot must be in place. I have read that some people dumped liquid and meat and other ingredients without the nonstick cooking pot. You might as well write that machine off if that happens to you.
So pay attention to what you are doing when you put ingredients together.
There is a steam rack which I have not used yet and a very handy air fry basket, which I used to test the product the moment I unpacked it. Brussels sprouts were delicious after they were air fried for about 15 minutes.
For those of you who don't know are not familiar with air frying – it is like deep frying something without all that oil. You spray your food with a little oil from a can, and the heating element on the top heats the food and the fan blows that hot air around the food. The airflow stand elevates the air fry baskets about 1/3 of an inch about the nonstick cooking parts so the bottom of your food still gets the heat that it needs. Sometimes you probably want to program it to cook something halfway, then unlock the lid and open it, and use a thong (not included) to flip your food over so it will be evenly cooked. I also use the air fry function to cook tater tots and there were delicious. There were a bit dry without the oil, and with a couple of seconds of spray with another batch, they were perfect.
The machine is 22 pounds. This should not be used by young children or anyone who were not mature enough to follow safety instructions. For example, when it is being used as a pressure cooker, the knob is locked and you will not be able to unlock the lid and open it. Otherwise it is a bomb going off if one forces it to open.
Any of you want to use this to fry certain things – for example if you want to do tempura which requires the shrimp to be drenched in better, this is not a machine for that.
I showed a couple of friends who were visiting and they stated it was something they can also use. It is more versatile than the instant pot that I have next to it!
So yes, it is a very good buy!!!
