Near perfect Air Fryer

The Bella Series 6qt digital air fryer is an awesome air fryer and cooks the food perfectly, and if you follow the directions then everything will come out perfectly. This is the third air fryer that I have owned, and it is quickly becoming my favorite. If you have a big family, you should get a large size fryer like this one. It does take up a good amount of countertop space, but the convenience and functionality of the fryer is worth it. To me the food just tastes much better without all the oil that you usually have to cook with. The digital controls allow you to easily set the timer and temperature and includes some presets for temperatures that are very handy. Chicken wings are my favorite thing to cook in an air fryer and this one preforms very well. I like to cook them at 360 degrees for 12 minutes, then flip them and do another 12 minutes. Finally, I bump up the temperature to 380 degrees and do another 3 minutes to make them extra crispy. Clean up has been very easy and the directions say that the basket and grill can be put in the dishwasher, but I did not clean mine that way. The non-stick basket is easy to just wash off with some soap and water and I feel that it will just last longer if you hand wash them. The overall design is pleasant to look at an it fits in nicely if you have other black appliances in your house, I have all stainless steel and it still looks good. It does make quite a bit of noise when it’s running, and the outside of the unit is safe to the touch which is nice. The ease of use, features, clean up, taste of food, and healthier cooking options make this must have for any kitchen.
Pros:
Large 6qt size
Oil less cooking
Presets and temperature controls
Safe to touch design
Easy clean-up
Price
Cons:
Large footprint
Noise while running

Air frying is easier for the whole family with this large 6-quart capacity Bella air fryer.
I really find the large readout easy to view. The push button menu icons are intuitive and a great starting point when you basically know what you are cooking.
The temperature and timer functions fine tuned with the + and - buttons; TIME on the LEFT, TEMPERATURE on the RIGHT.
Also a plus is the recipe booklet that helps get me started with useful menu items. The unit heats quickly and accurately maintains that temperature. Thanks to the insulated body the unit stays safe to the touch.
Easy to clean basket and tray. An interlock turns off the unit when you remove the basket. I equate this to a small scale convection oven. With a top temperature of 400-degrees, I can quickly cook my favorite deep fried dishes, be it for one or a family, without the extra fat or greasy taste.

Hearing protection not required

By OSHA standards you don’t need hearing protection at this level. However, you know how most cheap vent fans are loud? Well, the fan on this fryer is actually louder than both my stove hood fan and bathroom vent fan and I used a microphone decibel reading app to be sure it wasn’t just my perception. I then checked on my dad’s fryer and another for comparison and it clearly is the loudest I have heard.
On a good note, this air fryer has a huge pot, so you have plenty of surface area for frying. However, like most air fryers you will have to rotate the food a couple times to ensure even cooking as the outside edges will cook faster than the inside. It does provide a good fried crispness without all the grease of a standard fryer.
Another thing I did not like about this fryer is that when you pull the tub out to stir your food, it acts like it just cuts off completely. Leaving no status on the screen as far as time remaining or that it is active until you put the tub back in. When it goes back in, the whole screen flashes like it resets, 888, but it does continue with the temperature and time where it left off. After a while the fryer will reset, so if for instance you took it out early, finished dinner, washed the pot and put it back in, it won’t continue where it left off.

Huge space for healthy frying!

I'm loving this air fryer, specially the huge space in the frying basket. Its 6 qts! I was able to air fry two full size chicken breasts (no bone) with spare room for some steak sized french fries! They came great and with only a tiny amount of oil (basically just rubbed it onto the chicken). They came perfectly fried and brown! The fries also came crunchy and great!
I love the touch screen, where you basically have factory presets for different common items, like chicken, fries, steak etc. Just set and forget. Of course, it also allows you to set temperatures and times manually if you so desire. The manual is small, but gives you hints on times and temps for common foods and some fancy recipes.
I had to hand wash the frying basket and grill to remove a faint plasticity odor (common with any item that is new), nothing that a good wash gets rid of it. Easy to wash after a cooking session too, just take the whole tray off, hand wash the grill and basket and done (I would recommend to hand wash it as its softer on the product anti stick coating, than a washing machine).
I highly recommend this fryer to anyone that likes fried foods, but with a healthier alternative!

Excellent, Easy-to-Use Air Fryer

The Bella - Pro Series 6qt Digital Air Fryer is great. Easy to use and understand. Great for minimizing the use of oil while producing delicious meals.
From my wife: "Carrot fries: Cut, spray with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cooked on the automatic setting of 370° for 15 minutes. Now, for an Autumn dish: fried apples with cinnamon."
The 6-quart size is also handy for entertaining others. We are very pleased with this.

Having another small capacity air fryer I was eager to step up to one with higher capacity. Right now with a smaller air fryer I have to cook items in stages and smaller batches (fries, mozzarella, wings, fried ravioli and occasionally fried mushrooms). In addition I have cooked chicken breasts, this unit will allow me to cook larger items. The 6 quart unit is substantially larger than the small unit I’ve been using for quite a while. The unit contains a standard basket with grill like base, which rests slightly above the bottom of the basket to separate cooked fat and oils from your food. The cooking surfaces are nonstick so it makes clean up fairly simple. Just a note, some of the material used for the nonstick and the plastic outer portions take quite a while to "bake off" meaning there is a smell of factory coatings which is a bit disconcerting. I recommend that you clean the cooking surfaces with soap and water prior to using (as per the instruction manual). It did take several cycles for the smell of the unit to dissipate, so do not expect to throw food in it right away and start cooking unless you like chemical flavoring.
As for the core functionality of the unit and cooking times, my results varied quite unexpectedly. I typically cook fries in about 8 to 10 minutes in my smaller air fryer, this new larger model took up to 14 minutes and even after that, they weren’t quite done. I don't believe I overloaded the large capacity basket (about 1/2 pound of fries). Next I cooked wings, my family likes them well done, meaning there is no hanging fat or skin which normally takes 18 to 20 minutes in a my smaller air fryer. About a dozen medium size, thawed wings took about 35 minutes to cook. Perhaps next time I will try to fill the basket a bit more, but given that I maxed out the temperature setting at 400 degrees, cooking took a considerable amount of additional time (including mozzarella sticks which typically take less than 6 minutes to cook} in comparison to my smaller cooker.
Overall the unit is built pretty well, I attached a picture to this review for scale, again the cooking basket is large capacity. I can't help but think that this unit is slightly underpowered. My much smaller air fryer comes in at 1475 watts while this much larger unit is only 1700 watts. Overall I will adjust the cooking time and won't get rid of the smaller unit, perhaps they will make a good tandem for any air fried food fests.
Pros:
- Large capacity
- Electronic digital display/controls
- Non stick cooking surfaces
- Auto pause/resume when removing/inserting cooking basket
Cons:
- Slow cooker, compared to my smaller air fryer
- Manufacturing smell takes a few cycles to burn off
- Underpowered heating element

I used to think air fryers were stupid until I bought this one, and now I know I was the stupid one. Super easy to use. Cooks the food perfectly. Some people complain about how loud it is but it really isn't bad. Probably less than a bathroom exhaust fan. This one has a very nice size and easily accommodates my family of 5. I've had this for over a year now with moderate use and it still runs like new.

If you're looking for an air-fryer that includes a basket, dividers, attachments, or even a set of tongs included... forget it. This model is about as basic as you can get, so parchment paper is your friend. If you plan on cooking two foods at the same time, simply use a piece of parchment paper to separate them if you don't want them touching. While this is my first air-fryer, I actually own a convection oven, and after having eaten air-fried foods while visiting family, an air-fryer is much more like a toaster than an oven or deep-fryer.
With that said, the Bella performs very reliably, but you can achieve better results by using a very light coat of oil over food before air-frying. The Bella has a crisping tray inside, not a basket, so you can't dump the food out without also dumping out any oil, so use tongs. The fan in the Bella is loud, but not as loud as my range hood fan. The Bella occupies a lot of counter space, but you can fit a half a loaf of French bread in the frying drawer. Don't force the drawer, or leave it plugged in, and it should last a long time. Then go buy a bag of frozen french fries, and use them to figure out the settings that work best for you. The owner's manual is basically just a edited version of a manual for a smaller Bella air-fryer, or a previous model, and the included cooking guide is simply a reference. I've air-fried quite a few foods, and besides the learning curve, I'm very happy with the Bella.

I just got my Bella-Pro 6QT and the first thing I did was make some tater tots, they were perfect. If I gave them to you and said they were from Sonic or some other FF restaurant you would never have known they were home made (from a frozen bag). Touch screen takes some getting used to but once you have it down its super easy to use. Clean up is a breeze and dont believe the reviews about how LOUD the fan is, its not really that bad. If there is one complaint about the unit its that it generates a lot of heat as I live in an apartment it makes the unit hot for about an hour. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a quick and easy way to make some home snacks and meals. It is bigger then you think so make sure you have plenty of counter space.

This air fryer is definitely on the larger size but it holds a lot in the basket. It's really easy to use and clean but when it is on, it can be a bit loud. I would recommend this for sure because it is more affordable than some of the other brands.

I bought this for a great sale price. It has a nice size basket and is extremely easy to clean. I am still experimenting with it, but have make fresh fries, bacon, and tater tots so far. It makes great bacon with easy cleanup. It's controls are easy to figure out. As other reviewers said, it does make noise. I have never had an air fryer before so I don't have anything to compare. I assumed there would be noise from the fan to move the air. It is not overly noisy and the noise does not bother me.

The reviews were correct. I’ve had this lil spaceship for just a few days and have used it more than my previous one. This works phenomenal, everything tastes great. Very easy to clean as well. The volume on the beeping when you press buttons is incredibly loud, trying to figure if there’s a way to turn that down. Aside from that, very pleased with this purchase. Plus it was on sale, so that was a win-win.

It's big and everything I cook comes out wonderfully. I think calling any of these counter top convection ovens a "fryer" is misleading. However, it is a great alternative to pan frying, sauteeing or roasting almost anything. I'm still new at it, so I watch it closely while cooking. It's super easy to use. The presets work fairly well, but a pound of chicken breasts cook differently than a pound of chicken nuggets. So far, I haven't ruined anything.

We brought the 6 qt. Bella air fryer home and started using it right away. We cooked a whole chicken, pizza, fries and battered chicken strips. My young adult children have each used this air fryer multiple times in one day. We use recipes from the internet since few were included with the machine. The only negative I have noticed is all temperature settings are in 10's so there is no 325* only 320 or 330. Super easy to clean.

I love my airfryer! For the price I was impressed. It was much bigger than I thought it would be. I love how fast it cooks & the fact that its an healthier option without interfering much with the taste of our favorite foods. There was a funny smell to the airfryer on the first couple of runs but the smell is going away. So happy I finally invested in the airfryer. I definitely recommend this product

My deep fryer stopped working , so I needed a replacement. Doing some research and came across air fryers. Decided on this model and so far so good. We put it to the test and cooked the following: Tbone steak, drumsticks & thighs(w/ bone), moz sticks, pizza puff, Twinkies, french fries. All came out pretty dang good. The fries I have to still get figured out for a lil better crispiness. The times in the manual are pretty close, I still keep any eye on things. I use olive oil and whatever seasoning. I notice a rub on the chicken gives it a better crispness in the fryer. For me, I could taste the food better in the air fryer, then the deep fryer. Easy to clean up, dont have to get my oven dirty. I bought the BB warranty just in case something goes wrong.

When I got it I thought nice...more room then my previous other brand fryer. But when I used it, that's when i really noticed the difference. I was able to spread things out more and it makes for great results. I am super happy with this purchase. The little beep setting sounds are kinda too loud but not a big deal.

This is the first air fryer I have owned. I am surprised at how good the food comes out and fast . I would definitely recommend this product. Easy to clean, inexpensive, and all the same flavor a greasy oil pan would offer! Size would be ideal for a small family of 2 maybe plus a little one.

Love this air fryer. It is big enough to cook for the family without having to cook several separate portions. Settings were a little tricky but once I figured them out it is easy now. Easy clean up. It is a little bit loud while running, but still worth the delicious food.
