Poor quality. Motor died after one year.

Within about 6 or 7 months after purchase, at usage rate of about twice weekly (85% of which involved fruit smoothies), the caps on the blender power and speed buttons had begun visibly disintegrating, a problem the likes of which I've personally never encountered with any other blender (nor for that matter any other appliance). On exactly the one year mark after purchase, again with overall average use rate of about twice weekly (thus, about 100 total instances of use in all), the motor simply stopped. Won't turn on. Seems to be completely dead. I do acknowledge that I occasionally used it for nut butters. That accounted for about 8-10% of total usage. Although any blender should be capable of occasionally being used for nut butters, I believe it was too much for this one to take.
